In this podcast we look at three hot topics in San Diego County: San Diego Climate Change/Green Energy, Oceanside Housing and the San Diego County Republican Party. We start by examining the City of San Diego’s “Climate Change Demonstration Project” to put solar panels, temperature controls and lighting reduction monitors in 3 of their libraries as a showcase of using sustainable energy technology to achieve a net-zero energy usage.  Then we jump into the City of Oceanside’s heated discussion about transforming tomato farms into a commercial-residential-agriculture hybrid community.  Finally, we conclude by highlighting the San Diego County Republican Party’s new website www.sandiegonewsdesk.com and their efforts to produce right wing news content to influence voters and compete with left leaning mainstream media. We also touched on so many topics and people including EV charging stations, solar batteries, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, San Ysidro, Point Loma, Serra Mesa, Southeastern San Diego, California Energy Commission, City Energy Conservation Fund, San Diego Libraries, Jason Mraz, North River Farms, Arrowood Golf Course, Integral Communities, Farm at Stoneridge, Poway, NIMBYism, property rights, homelessness, housing crisis, Tony Krvaric, TJ Zane, Sweetwater School District, Poway Unified School District, Todd Gloria, Duncan Hunter, San Diego Union Tribune, George Orwell, Oscar Wilde, Christopher Hitchens, Steve Vaus, Jimmy Carter, deregulation, beer industry, Ronald Reagan. #JohnRileyProject #Life #Liberty #PursuitofHappiness #San Diego #Oceanside #Poway #ClimateChange #SolarEnergy #HousingCrisis #GOP JRP0070 Supporting Articles: Three San Diego library branches chosen for climate change ‘demonstration project’ – San Diego Union Tribune https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/communities/san-diego/story/2019-08-21/three-san-diego-library-branches-chosen-for-climate-change-demonstration-project City of San Diego Budget – Library Energy on page #369 https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/fy19ab_v2library.pdf Oceanside Housing Project – Jason Mraz https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Jason-Mraz-Oceanside-North-River-Farms-Development–491460951.html San Diego News Desk: San Diego GOP Propaganda Tool https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/watchdog/story/2019-08-20/republican-party-of-san-diego-county-launches-news-website-for-political-purposes John Riley Project Info: Bookings?
