www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com The Georgia NAACP is calling for an investigation into two Hoschton officials after reports surfaced this week that the mayor allegedly held back a city administrator candidate's application because he is black and a city councilman announced he is opposed to interracial marriage.
Mayor Theresa Kenerly and Councilman Jim Cleveland have been under fire since the accusations surfaced in media reports on Monday. There have been calls for the mayor and the councilman to resign since then and threats of recall efforts against the pair. The case has since become international news with news outlets outside Georgia picking it up.
