► Tell us about you and your podcast
Catherine and I have known each other for over 10 years. We came together to create this podcast (and upcoming book) exploring the career and life stories of people who’ve made pivots in their lives, sometimes through choice, sometimes as a reaction to opportunity or challenge (or both), to create more meaningful careers that utilize their strengths and experiences and speak to their passions and values.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
As we were writing the book, we realized that there were so many stories that were interesting and inspiring, but that we didn't have room to feature them. The podcast is our way to showcase a wider range of wonderful stories. We started the podcasts a couple of months ago. We released the first one a day or so after recording.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
We try to release once a week. We record them, usually on a Saturday. Then Sarah edits them, creates the graphics, and does a teaser. We try to release and start promoting on social media the next Monday. The biggest costs are hosting and advertising. We do fund it ourselves at this point.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
We don't have sponsorship yet, but we'd certainly be open to it. We're hoping that the podcast helps us gain an audience and awareness of the book.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
We record using zoom. I then edit and tweak audio quality in Audacity. At this point, we've found our guests from our extended network. To prep the guests, we send them some chapters from the book which help explain our framework.
► How do you market your show?
We host on Buzzsprout and push out to directories from that. We then market over most social channels: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn. We also have a LinkedIn page for the podcast and book and we have a growing list of followers for that. I think that LinkedIn and Twitter are the most useful.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
A big thing I've learned is to start the show on a very casual, off-topic note for 30 seconds or so. Also, to keep the graphics consistent and to promote with teasers and trailers
