Talk about Sports, Music, Food, do Top 5s & lots of randomness.

We met back in high school in San Angelo, Texas & we’ve been friends for almost 30 years now! Our podcast is about the world of Sports through our eyes. We are quick to praise but also quick to criticize & question the day to day things of the Sports World. We also have a strong passion for music & live musical events. Most of our favorite bands, we fell in love with back in junior high school & thankfully most of them are still making fantastic music! One of our favorite things to do on the podcast is make Top 5 lists. They are mostly food driven, because we love our food! Most of our listeners have been family & friends with the hope that the entire world will take notice of us 3 somewhat normal guys!
 

We as a group listen to some podcasts, each of us having our own preferences. We chat through Messenger everyday about sports, life, etc & in early July of 2023, we decided to start a podcast together! We love the idea of sharing our point of view instead of the typical mainstream clickbait stuff that’s out there. Our goals since day 1, where to hopefully make this a full time gig for all of us! We love hanging out with each other & personally it’s my favorite day of the week! The initial prep for our 1st episode took us a couple of weeks to put together. Our first few episodes aren’t the greatest of audio quality but we wanted to get our material out & learn on the fly. One of our mottos is “Trial by Fire!”
 

We try to publish one podcast a week, with us only missing a couple weeks since our beginning. Producing an episode will vary from time to time as sometimes we mess up, as we are not the most tech savvy people. Our typical recording day is Tuesday or Wednesday, because we like that we can recap the events from the past weekend & preview the big events happening on the upcoming weekend. We are a low budget podcast that typically won’t spend more than $25-$50 a month. We fund everything ourselves, hoping just for now.
 

We have not gained any revenue/profit from the show, we do feel it’s the right time to charge our fans for material they can listen to for free. No sponsorships have been made available to us as of yet. We’ve had more fun than anything doing the podcast together & watching it improve & grow! We love doing research to provide facts along with our personal opinions & experiences. Our friendship has gotten stronger, even though we didn’t think it would change. As for our careers, nothing has changed yet as we continue to grind at our normal job functions. But hopefully that changes soon!
 

We use Riverside.fm for our studio & publish the episodes through Spotify for Podcasters. We have not had any guests yet as we wanted our foundation set before we integrate guests, our goal is to start having guests in Season 2 of our podcast. We prepare each episode by writing tons of notes & bouncing ideas off of each other throughout the week, we talk everyday all day!
 

Our podcast is available on most of the major podcast platforms. We’re on Spotify, IHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Spreaker & we post videos of the episodes on YouTube as well. Our listener acquisition is as follows: Spotify 27%, IHeartRadio 20%, Apple Podcasts 20%, Amazon Music 9%, Google (before going away) 5%, web browser 4% & Other 14%. We use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & TikTok to help promote our podcast.
 

Work hard but enjoy the process! It’s a lot to learn & process but once you or your group finds their rhythm it’s so worth it! We learned that no one’s opinion is worth more than the other & that it won’t succeed or improve unless you're all on the same page with the same goals!
