Retired Staff Photographer Revitalizes His Collection To A New Generation.

My name is Adam Scull and my podcast is The Celebrity Archaeology Podcast.

Preserving the art and cultural heritage of celebrity photography from decades past for the benefit of future generations. Listeners fall into two groups: the baby boomers and surprisingly 18-25 year olds.

Retired staff photographer for the New York Post shooting fourty years worth of celebrities, I want to revitalize my collection to a new generation.

I’m 65 and semi retired so time is available to me now. Podcasting is a time sinkhole but I love what I did and do now with the podcast. It’s a true extension of me and my life as a celebrity photographer.

I do take sponsorship but haven’t made a dime yet, but that’s ok. Because I believe in what my life stood for so many years ago, I will be patient, knowing that it takes time to build an audience, but I will never quit because I’ve got over two million images of film and tv stars going back to the mid 1970’s to work with.

Hardware: Samson G-Track Pro into my Mac Laptop, via ISB, ending in Audition, using one plugin, Acon Difital Dever erate to reduce room echo. I find guests through a variety of sources, but most of my podcasts are readings of a celebs life done with research, with occasional interviews. I don’t use Skype because Skype audio quality is poor as they throttle bandwidth, so google voice is better.

I’m very big and well versed on social media, in particular Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and of course iTunes. Those and my website, featuring thousands of vintage celebrity photos appeal to a worldwide market.
