► Tell us about you and your podcast
I’m Stephanie Onwuemenyi, ACA — a Chartered Accountant, strategist, and podcast host passionate about making wealth-building accessible. After years at Deloitte and PwC with a background in Fintech and Financial services, working on multimillion-pound audits and financial strategy, I realized too many conversations about money and property were trapped in boardrooms. That’s why I created the Bricks and Banks Podcast — a global Top 5% show on ListenNotes — where real estate meets finance, and strategy creates wealth. My podcast simplifies complex financial concepts, showcases inspiring wealth journeys, and equips listeners with practical steps to grow their assets and confidence.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
The “why” was personal. I saw colleagues and friends with good income but no clear wealth strategy. At the same time, I had a passion for storytelling and amplifying underrepresented voices in finance. So I merged both into a platform that bridges technical expertise with relatable insights. I started lean — one microphone, free software, and a clear vision. I leveraged my auditing discipline for structure and my entrepreneurial grit for creativity. What began as a side project in April 2025 has grown into a recognized wealth-building podcast reaching listeners in over 40 countries.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
Time came from ruthless prioritization. I treated podcasting like any serious investment; blocking out hours each week as “non-negotiable” creative time. Funding was self-driven at first. I bootstrapped with savings, kept costs minimal by using AI for editing and transcription, and focused on building consistency before scale. Later, we attracted sponsors and strategic partners, proving that passion plus professionalism draws in resources.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
Podcasting gives me three priceless things:
- Impact — messages that listeners act on, like buying their first property or renegotiating hidden bank fees.
- Network — direct access to brilliant minds, from Olympians to high-net-worth investors, who share their playbooks on air
- Growth — as both a strategist and entrepreneur, I’ve sharpened my ability to translate complex finance into simple, actionable insights.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
My process is structured but agile; I leveraged my experience being a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. My podcast process and style can be broken in the following ways:
- Research & Curation: I carefully select guests whose stories offer strategy plus inspiration.
- Recording: Conversational but deep, ensuring every episode delivers both a narrative and a takeaway.
- Editing & AI Integration: We use AI for transcription, SEO, and workflows — reducing production time by 25%
- Publishing & Repurposing: Content goes live on audio platforms, YouTube, and social snippets to maximize reach.
► How do you market your show?
Our content promotion strategy is layered:
- SEO & Keywords — data-driven optimization pushes episodes into global rankings
- Cross-Platform Promotion — we leverage YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram for different audience touchpoints.
- Community Building — engaging directly with listeners, inviting feedback, and turning the podcast into a wealth-building movement.
- Partnerships — strategic sponsorships with brands that align with our mission help amplify reach
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Start with clarity, not perfection. Define the problem your podcast solves, because that will keep you consistent when downloads feel slow. Use free or low-cost tools until you prove your concept. Systemize early — templates and AI can save you hours. And most importantly, be authentic. Your listeners don’t need you to be flawless; they need you to be real, consistent, and valuable.
