► Tell us about you and your podcast
My name is Peter Gianoli and I host the Marketing 24-7 Podcast. The aim of the podcast is to help entrepreneurs make sure that their business is being marketed 24/7, 365 days of the year. This is crucial for business if they seek to double, triple or quadruple their profits. This podcast gives tips and tools as to how to establish a Client Generation System that works relentlessly. The podcast outlines what I am doing for my business and my clients businesses to substantially grow their market share.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I started the podcast to help business owners get on top of their marketing needs. Episode 1 was in June 2019. I started weekly but in May 2020 due to listener feedback I am now publishing every Monday and Thursdays.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I publish twice weekly. It takes me around an hour to produce an episode. I am thinking of podcast material each and every work day as I work as a Sales and Marketing strategist hence I have heaps of real examples to podcast about. I have self funded the podcast but I use the radio station studio I broadcast weekly at to record most of my episodes.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I don't have sponsors, I am unlikely to as I use the Podcast to promote my business primarily. Every week I will get at least 2 to 3 solid enquiries from my podcast. I also sell marketing how to courses and the Podcast yields plenty of sales.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I either use the radio station studio I broadcast at or I use my home studio. At home I use a Rhodes podcaster microphone or my Samson microphone. I record to Audacity. I do not interiview too ofetn but when I do I use the radio station or do a skype interview.
► How do you market your show?
My show is available through Libsyn, itunes, Spotify, Stitcher and TunedIn. I would think my listeners are predominantly from itunes and Spotify. I promote the show to my database plus social media channels Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
You have to stick around long enough for your listeners to find you. This happens at about episode 20ish as long as you publish on a regular schedule. The fact it takes a while to get followers is a good thing - as it takes a while to find your voice.
