Hi, I'm Amy Sikarskie and I have worked in the spiritual healing arts for over two decades. I have worked with thousands of clients and held space for groups leading them through healing meditations, mentoring, and Inner Dance sessions in person and online. I offer courses on energy therapy, channeling and the awakening process and specialize in working with healers, seers, empaths and starseeds. I channel spiritually uplifting messages from The Council of Light, archangels and spirit guides. I am a clairvoyant channel, master energy therapist and ascension activator.
I guide others through their spiritual awakening process and support them through education and in their personal experiences through mentoring, intuitive guidance, online courses and in person retreats.

► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I have an online school, have a monthly membership, Soul Wise LA, and have an active presence on social media. I love working with groups to support, mentor and I teach at SpiritSchoolOnline.com Sharing a deeper look into my life and being able to speak freely - not following a course structure, and sharing what comes to my heart and mind in a spontaneous way inspired me to create the podcast.
I had felt the feeling building and recall that I was intuitively guided by my spirit guides to use my voice in a new way, one that was unique to me, and to share spiritual truths and staples that were being lost amongst the buzz-word rush of social media trends.
My goals were to reach as many as possible, that resonated with me, are looking for support energetically and spiritual. It was important to me to create a welcoming and loving space where listeners could turn to for insights, education and peaceful and soul healing energy.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I release at least one episode a week on podcasting apps and on YouTube. Solo cast episodes take very little time to produce. There is little editing involved and average I would say take about three hours from start to publish. Guest episodes take longer because I sometimes run into audio issues such as distorted audio, back ground noise, or us talking over each other and I personally edit these shows.
I initially took some time off of taking sessions and produced the first set of episodes before opening back up for client sessions. My office and podcasting space is in our home and I pop on anytime I feel inspired.
I am currently funding the podcast and spend anywhere from $25-$100 a month on the hosting fees and some transcription services to assist with the show notes. I also have an assistant that helps with all aspects of my business and creating content from the episodes for social media. Because she helps in other areas of my business, it is challenging to say how much of her compensation is dedicated to the podcast.

► What do you gain from podcasting?
I am currently not taking sponsorships. I will consider it for products or services that I feel aligned with and that are supportive to my community. I am not marketing as actively as I could. I currently have 2,500- 3,000 downloads each month.
My podcast has been a beautiful space where I can connect deeper with my friends an community. I feel its is a soul calling to share hidden or forgotten truths when it comes to the soul, our eternal nature, healing energetically and the channeled messages.

► How does your podcasting process look like?
I use a Shure podcasting mic that my friends helped me select and set up for my Audible book, Activating the Starseed. I record in my home office with Adobe Audible and Zoom and I edit with Audible and iMovie for the videos that I share on YouTube and Instagram.
For solo casts, I feel a message or topic coming through from spirit and will get a glass of water, use the restroom, let my family know that I am recording and then pop onto the mic and let it pour through me.
I organically connect with guests and have had many friends on, that are also in my career field, to speak about the healing arts and offering intuitive readings. I share these in the Light Working Conversations collection.

► How do you market your show?
Most listeners tune in on Apple Podcast followed by Spotify and Audible. I'm not sure how this is calculated but my insights share that 144% come from Apple and 25% on Spotify.
I find that Instagram and YouTube have been the most useful in sharing my podcast and new releases with others.

► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Follow your heart and be sure that you're really feeling called to podcasting. If you are strictly in it to make a profit, do a lot of research a head of time.
Truly, I'm just winging it. I market to current followers on Instagram and YouTube and let the others find me through word of mouth or recommendations on the podcasting apps. Like I mentioned, I could do a better job of marketing and SEO fine tuning. I would say this is one area of focus I'd recommend.
I have found that captivate offers a lot when it comes to assisting with their products and educational content. I have recently found podsqueeze.com and find it very helpful for transcribing and assisting with show notes.
