► Tell us about you and your podcast
My name is Luke, over the past seven years I've lost over 400 pounds but September of 2020 I was bigger then I've ever been at 422 pounds. I'm currently working on losing it and I'm using this and my Instagram as an accountability buddy Luke Loses is a podcast about dealing with the struggles of being obese, even when those topics are not easy to talk about. Follow me on my journey to break away from an unhealthy relationship with food and live a healthy life. Luke Loses will touch on subjects such as anxiety with obesity, food addiction, and ways to combat these issues through diligent at home research, guest speakers and self experience. Listen weekly as we discuss different topics while I fights my way to reach a 170 pounds. My listeners are mainly people who are dealing with the same struggles I am dealing with.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I listen to a ton if podcasts I have about 80 I listen to monthly. I started mine as a journal but I put my Instagram name in it just in case someone wanted to reach out if they listened, and I received alot of feedback from people all over the world. My goals for my show is to inspire someone to do better to be a better person everyday. Also it's an accountability buddy it holds me to the level to keep going in my weight loss journey. I started the show December 14th and I worked on putting my first journal entry out for about a week but I had wanted to start a show for years.

► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I release a episode every Monday and a bonus weigh in/ motivation episode about 5 minutes long on Fridays. It takes me a while to do the research and recording as well as editing in hours probably 24 to 38 hours all together that's just for the episode it takes about 30 minutes for the bonus and then I am networking throughout the week. I do my recording in the mornings while my kids are at school.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I have looked into sponsorship and ads but haven't got any yet, podcasting benefits me just as the accountability and the urge to help people.
