► Tell us about you and your podcast
I'm an ex Basketball player, I played in France, and United States so I have a more objective point of you of a lot of things, not just basketball, when I traveled to these different places, I used to study people, to really understand human behavior in general. My podcast is about human behavior, and people marathon, I want to show you what professionals and notable people have done in the past that created the situation that they're in right now. My listeners are people who love to analyze their behavior and the behavior of people around them as well. And also, people who want to learn from notable athletes who excelled in their respective fields.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I started this podcast because I wish somebody started a podcast 3/4 years ago when I was going through a lot of different challenges. This is basically to give the support, and the guidance that I didn't have to people.
My goal is to extend this podcast as much as I can, I’m sure it will help a lot of people. My motivation was just my journey I felt like it's designed for me, I started this podcast in March 2021 so little less than a year ago. I release an episode right away the same day I've created the podcast I was really feeling it that day.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I try release an episode every week, but it's not a rule of thumb so I can post 3 episodes in one week and even more. Depends on how I feel. And for the funding part I do have different streams of income so It wasn’t a problem at all and I managed to get it done.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I don't have any sponsorship at the moment but it's in my future plan to have some, and it benefits me pretty much in learning about stories which is pretty helpful to know what others been through. A lot of time we feel alone during the life process, sometimes even clueless not knowing where we going and it's good to have the opinion of somebody who already made it.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I use Garage band to edit the files, and I record on Zoom. I don't really prepare my episode to be honest, I want it to be as natural as possible so I'll just have a topic a quick guideline and boom I'm going. I have a lot of contacts so it's pretty easy for me to get people to interview.
► How do you market your show?
I essentially use Instagram to market my show and it went pretty smooth for me so far.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Find your niche, your podcast is not and should not be for everyone, so don't try to please everyone. Please yourself first and love what you do, love what you’re talking about, as long as you do this you'll be fine.
► Where can we learn more about you & your podcasts?
You can learn more about me on my Instagram : @yvancheviott and on my website : https://theyccenter.com those are the 2 places I'm most active on
