► Tell us about you and your podcast
The podcast is for beginner exercisers that want to move again. Maybe listeners were active previously and want to get going again or get moving for the first time.
The episodes are short and can go with you anywhere and can be completed at anytime.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I’m an avid podcast listener and worked in fitness for several years. My podcast, Flex on Friday, combines two of my interests and provides quick and simple workouts for people wanting to move better.
I started my podcast February 2021. It took me three or four months of writing out my episodes before releasing the first episode.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I release episodes weekly. They are usually between 10-15 minutes. It helps that I have a script written out to work from. Early on it took me so many retakes and recordings to get one episode done. Now that I’ve got the hang of it I can record and episode in 15 minutes or so.
I try to make for an hour of writing 3 times a week after work, which can be challenging at times.
I don’t spend much for podcasting right now other than hosting. I am researching some editing tricks and tools to help with my sound quality.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
What I gain from podcasting is to share my love of fitness. Making it simple and accessible and fun motivates me to create new and different options to meet any and everyone where they are.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I write a script for each episode prior to recording.
I use Buzzsprout as my hosting site and take advantage of some of there finishing features on my episodes
► How do you market your show?
I am currently just making use of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to put my podcast out there.
