► Tell us about you and your podcast
My name is Terri Kozlowski.
I'm a survivor of childhood trauma, and I help people overcome their fears and limiting beliefs.
My podcast is called Soul Solutions. The show focuses on taking control of your life and develop successful ways to overcome your fears and limiting beliefs. We cut through the intricate thought patterns and old egoic mindsets. We will go within to find the answers and create the life you desire.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I started podcasting to reach my audience in a more intimate way.
I listen to podcasts.
My goal was to reach a broader audience so I could help more people overcome their fears and limiting beliefs.
I launched my podcast on August 27, 2020, that day I released four episodes.
I'd been working on the content for 6 weeks before the launch. I've been releasing new content every Tuesday and have completed my 26th episode.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I release new episodes every Tuesday.
It takes about 15 hours per week to research, write, record, edit and upload the show each week.
With COVID, I've only been working three days a week, so I am doing this on my off days.
I spend about $50 a month on hosting and editing as I am doing it all by myself.
I fund my podcast currently, but I am looking to monetize it as soon as possible.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I am open to sponsorships but currently don't have any.
I've been looking for sponsorships via Podcorn.
I currently have 120 downloads per month.
Podcasting has benefited me through the many new connections I have for my business as well as personal growth.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I am using Buzzsprout for my hosting service.
I am using Audacity for editing the audio files.
My microphone is an Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB Cardioid Dynamic Microphone (ATR Series).
I have a solo podcast show.
Each episode is researched, scripted, rehearsed. I then record and edit.
I do plan on interviewing special guests and will use Zoom. I've been a guest on other shows using Zoom.
► How do you market your show?
Buzzsprout helped me get listed on 15 directories.
Yes, Buzzsprout provides a breakdown of listener acquisition sources.
I am currently marketing via email and social media.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
People love to hear your voice speaking directly to them. They feel closer to you and therefore receive the message more readily. This realization surprised me.
Helpful podcasting resources I used were Pays to Podcast Course, AMP'd Up Podcasting Course, Buzzsprout resources, and Audacity resources.
