Spanish Personal Finance Learning

My name is Mónica Higuera, and my podcast name is Finanzas y algo más. 

My listeners are people who are interesd on learning about investing, finance, trading. People that are looking for financial freedom or pasive income or want to learn how to invest.

I listen podcast daily. My goal of doing podcast is to teach about what I know. Share my knowledge, share different point of views , doing interviews about different economic and financial and investmentes topics. I started my podcast on april. I realesed my first episode immediately, it was about fear of being ridiculous,because I felt nervouse about being heard for people that I don´t known.

I release an episode once a week or each 2 week it depends on the topic. Produce an episode takes me one or two days. I work independent and have time to do my podcast in nights. Practically I do everytihg, hosting, editing, marketing, interwing. It requires me lots of time...

I don´t have any sponsorship. Podcasting benefit me becuase for me is a way to leaarning, and improve my knowledge. sometimes people writes me to ask me for private lessons about invest, but it is not a common thing...

I use Anchor to do my episodes. My guests usually are friends, or people that I have known while I was working as a financial advisor in my country Colombia. I have been writting in Twitter @monicaphiguera for about 7 years and I have know many people there, and when I want to interwiew someone interesting, I write a message and ask if they want to talk whith me for the podcast, and they usually acepts. I prepared my episodes by reading a lot about an specific subject, usually I prepared my questions put them on paper. I interview my guests by Anchor app by cell phone.

My listeners find my show by Twitter, or instagram or yuotube, itunes, most of the people that listens my podcast do by Spotify becuase is my podcast is made in Anchor. As I do everthing marketing, promotion, interwiews, I use my social media in order to promote it.

Make a Podcast is something that requires you time, and commitment, you have to read a lot in order to make a good show. If yoy have guest it is imperative that you investigate about the person in order to make good questions. You have to listeng a lot of podcasts to learn how can you do it in the better way. Take care of the details, music, sounds, learn how to speak that sounds very nice for your listeners... When I took the decision to make a podcast I saw many videos in Youtube and read a lot of articles about it.
