► Why & how did you start this podcast?
Podcasts are a fantastic learning tool for busy professionals. You can develop new insights about topics that interest you. I started listening to podcasts in 2019 and decided to make my own soon after.
My goal was to unpack how top leaders around the world build their category of one. It took me to 2 weeks to navigate the podcast ecosystem. I launched my first episode in September, 2019 and have done 123 episodes so far.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I release a new episode every week. It takes me 24 hours to record, edit and launch. When I started podcasting, I was working at Microsoft. I used to record over the weekend.
I have built a community of 150,000+ millennials who use various Network Capital products and services. We monetize through subscriptions on our website.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
We don't charge for podcasts separately. Network Capital bundles various services together and offers it at $250/year. We have thousands of paying subscribers.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I read extensively and prepare precise questions for the guest. The goal is to go deep into concepts and explore ideas not discussed in popular media. Our interviews go on for an hour and we use Zoom/Skype to record.
