►Tell us about you and your podcast

I'm Corey and one half of the hosts of the C&G Pro Wrestling Podcast. The Podcast features my brother, Garrett, and I talking about professional wrestling and going on rants about wrestling and possibly anything else. Our listeners are anyone who wants to listen to a quality podcast, but more than likely they are fellow wrestling fans.

►Why & how did you start this podcast?

We started podcasting because we needed to talk to other people than just ourselves about wrestling. My brother and I listen to many podcasts and that includes other wrestling podcasts and other genres of podcasts.

We are just having fun with the podcast, sitting down and talking about what we like and dislike about wrestling. We started this podcast about 3 months ago and released our first two episodes that week.

►How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?

We do an episode once a week, unless there is a lot of wrestling news or we have extra time, then we like doing an extra episode during those weeks. We usually do the podcast at night after our day jobs are done. There is usually a lot of texting going on between the two of us planning the episode and what time we will be doing it at during the week.

There is very minimal editing that we do for the podcast, so a usual episode for us ranges from 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes. This podcast is funded between the two of us.

►What do you gain from podcasting?

We are completely open to a sponsorship and we gladly share our revenue: none (so far). With this podcast we have met some great people through social media that share the same interest in wrestling as we do, so we find that to be a huge gain!

►How does your podcasting process look like?

We currently use a Peavy 4 mic mixer and two TONOR condenser microphones. We use audacity for recording software and we are being hosted through SoundCloud.

We are currently reaching out to some local independent wrestlers that would like to come onto the show for interviews. We are constantly on twitter reacting to all of the wrestling news that is happening during the week.

►How do you market your show?

Our show is on SoundCloud, iTunes, Stitcher, Castbox, and Google Music. Most of our listens are currently through iTunes. Our main marketing channel right now is our Twitter.

►What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?

We tried our hand at podcasting before and it did not work out too well, we learned from that experience. Making sure to be consistent with your material is key and having a specific topic helps as well.
