►Tell us about you and your podcast
Ben Maher & Andrew Ward are both Iowa natives. One grew up in Clinton, the other in Dewitt. Both of the paths they have journeyed have included drinking, college, drinking, pro wrestling, video games, drinking, women, disappointing parents, drugs, women, swimming, strip clubs, marriage, foreigners, parties, amigos and did we mention horrible decisions.
Their comedic career began in 2010 with Ward All Access. They quickly embraced the social media platform by populating it with comedic songs, surreal sketches, and low-budget local commercials, and non-fiction stories that actually happened to the guys! They have been on various outlets including Chicago Second City Stage, MaC Morning Show and on Sirius XM.
Fueled by Ward All Access success, Ben & Andy launched Team Hey Buddy, a self-funded production company and lifestyle brand. Under their guidance, Team Hey Buddy creates, develops, and produces all of their entertainment content and consumer products.
In addition the duo's other successes include the award-winning audio/video podcast, Road Stories with Ben and Andy available on iTunes, GooglePlay, Stitcher, and TuneIn Radio.
The guys plan on releasing the very first season of "Ben & Andy's Buddy System: A Field Guide to Curiosity, Creativity and Tomfoolery" to hit your video library in fall of 2019.

►Why & how did you start this podcast?
Numerous times people told Ben and I that we needed to record our conversations and to share our real life tales to the world. So this past October we said let's do this! What are we going to name the show..... Ben asked, "Hey Buddy are our thirsty?" I replied, "Thats it you beautiful bro! Hey Buddy!" and the rest is history.
It didn't take long to get the first episode out, but we had technical difficulties that some how come back time to time again but never stops the comedy.
►How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
Thats a great question. We actually have very busy lives. Ben & I have full time jobs, and we are in several recreational sports leagues, plus family obligations so when should we do the program.
It all started by just figuring out when we have nothing planned. How were we going to do the show both in the Island City Studio or via Skype, and how long are each episode. When we got all that figured out it has been smooth sailing.
We release a new LIVE episode over Tuesday Nights 8 PM EST / 7 PM CST on our website: HeyBuddyShow.com

►What do you gain from podcasting?
Well, what we gain in podcasting is friends. We have a ton of listener participation during our programs that we now are accepting challenges to do on the show. So far we have had a Hot Sauce Challenge that made Ben Cry....and I was moist all over. I know gross. But we love our fans and can not thank them enough for the support
Our live program brings in 100,000 listeners an episode. Our downloadable product is only 8 weeks in and we have an average of 150,000 downloads per episode and our numbers keep growing.
Our Demographic is 95% Men and 5% Women.
Our age range is 18 to 42 with the majority of that being in the United States.
Top five cities are New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Phoenix.
►How does your podcasting process look like?
What we use to get our show up and on the air is Spreaker. They offer multiple tools, start up sponsors and a editing suit that even the most novice podcasters can use.
Guest.....well what we like to do is sneak attack friends, family, co-workers etc buy just calling them without any heads up. It makes the show more real and we never rehearse.... EVER.
►How do you market your show?
Our program is available on many platforms:
iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn Radio, GooglePlay, Twitter, heybuddyshow.com
►What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
What I have learned is surround yourself with positive people that are in your life and want you to succeed. I have failed numerous times trying to figure items out, but I never gave up.
The only person who can stop you from attaining your dreams and goals is yourself.
Stay Positive, Hard Work Pays Off!
