►Tell us about you and your podcast

Welcome to the liberating post-mySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest world of Richard Mc Sweeney! Welcome to RADIO RICHARD IRELAND! RRI has been broadcasting on Anchor.fm since January 2018, Mondays to Fridays for about 15 minutes. On the weekends he occasionally broadcasts stories from any one or more of his twelve books.

►Why & how did you start this podcast?

To give a voice to my written works: my twelve books. In addition, I wanted to have my own online radio show in which to spread a good word out into the world.

►How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?

I make time each day: Monday - Friday to produce about a fifteen minute broadcast. Each broadcast can take about three hours preparation and I write everything down.

►What do you gain from podcasting?

Just the sheer pleasure of making the broadcast.

►How does your podcasting process look like?

Each broadcast is made up of five segments:

1. Introduction
2. A reading from William Shakespeare
3. A reading from Titus Lucretius Carus
4. A creative interpretaion of a Chinese Taoist philosopher
5. Conclusion

I record all my broadcasts on my mobile phone.

►How do you market your show?

At the moment I have listeners on iTunes, Tunein and Blubrry.

►What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?

Know what you want to broadcast: say and deliver it clearly and simply.

►Where can we learn more about you & your podcasts?
