► Tell us about you and your podcast
I'm Heather Eck, an intuitive artist, spiritual guide, and synesthete who sees emotions and energy as color. I created Your Radiant Spirit to hold space for heartfelt conversations that nourish the soul and spark creative healing. On the show, I speak with artists, healers, energy workers, and changemakers who are walking a soulful path—and doing it in their own radiant way.
Our listeners are deeply curious and spiritually-minded. They're creatives, empaths, seekers, and healers looking for meaning, beauty, and a deeper connection to their inner wisdom. If you love talking about chakras, color, intuition, and the creative process, we’re your people.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
After years of painting Spirit Portraits and guiding others through energy healing and creativity, I found myself craving deeper, unscripted conversations with other soul-led creators. I wanted to share stories that inspired me—and in doing so, help others feel seen and supported on their healing journey.
I launched Your Radiant Spirit in February 2025. I gave myself permission to keep it simple, record from home, and grow slowly and intentionally. The first season took a few weeks to pull together, but once it was out in the world, I knew I was on the right path. It's been gratifying to create and connect with guests.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I run a creative healing business full-time, so I carve out time for the podcast in between painting, teaching, and creating content. I release one episode every Wednesday, and each one takes about 3-5 hours total to produce, from recording to editing to promotion.
Right now, I fund the podcast myself. I use tools that are affordable and efficient, and I repurpose content from the show across my blog, email list, and social media to keep things streamlined.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
So much! Deep friendships, inspiration, clarity in my own healing work—and a community of listeners who feel like kindred spirits. I don’t currently have sponsors (I'm open to them!), but I do use the podcast to share my offers like art workshops, my Inner Glow Collective membership, and original paintings.
More than anything, podcasting has expanded my sense of connection—to others and to myself.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I record using Zoom and a Blue Yeti mic, and I edit in iMovie or Descript. I find most of my guests through my community, fellow creatives I admire, or people I’ve connected with through healing work or art. I love connecting with people so I often reach back out to hosts of shows I've been a guest on! It's a great way to share the space and support one another.
Before each episode, I take time to ground myself and tune into the energy of the conversation. I prepare lightly—just a few anchor questions—and let the rest flow intuitively. I want each episode to feel like a cup of coffee with a friend. It usually does!
► How do you market your show?
Most listeners find me through Instagram, my email newsletter, and word-of-mouth. I also share each episode on my website and sometimes repurpose clips into Reels or carousel posts.
My newsletter is a key marketing tool—I send it weekly with a story, a lesson, and a link to the latest episode. I also post regularly on Instagram, where I engage with my community around the themes of each episode.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Start messy and stay aligned. Don’t wait until everything’s perfect—just start talking. Let it be soulful and human. Your voice matters more than your gear. Be consistent in your output. If you think you can do once a month, stick to that!
I also recommend repurposing your podcast content to make the most of your time—use it in your newsletter, blog, or even social posts. And finally, trust that your people will find you. Speak from the heart and they will come.
