► Tell us about you and your podcast
KellanFluckiger Is the Ultimate Alchemist—lover of People, Healer of Souls, and Magnifier of Prosperity.
"Your Ultimate Life" podcast is about creating a life of purpose, prosperity, and joy by discovering, serving with, and monetizing your existing skills, natural gifts, and your life experience. I share frameworks and tools that melt barriers, move mountains, and mobilize superpowers to get what you want. I interview guests that exemplify extraordinary stories of creation, transformation, and a commitment to add good to the world.
My goal is to help as many people as possible create the life they want to live and to help spread the mission and messages of those who are using their effort and energy to create and share good things.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I had already had a show on LATalk Radio, so a podcast was the next natural step. I've been creating and uploading videos to social platforms for the past 10 years. I have my favorite podcasts and love to listen to them. I'm always seeking out new and interesting shows and hosts. How did I get started? At the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, a former client called and asked if I had a podcast. They were looking for some encouraging conversation as the world dove into lockdown. My wife and business partner said "yes," even though we didn't have one yet. I began in April 2020 and have continued ever since. It took us about a week to get going, and our first episode was recorded and uploaded. As of July 3, 2023, we're nearing 800 episodes and have no intention of stopping.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
All podcasting is a labor of love, even when you have sponsors. We began with determination and a dream. The determination was to be positive, emphasize possibility and be a beacon of light. Three years later, it is worth every effort, and so we create the time and love promoting sponsors and guests who make it their business to serve. We want sponsors who are committed not just to profit but to add good to the world. And purpose alignment with positive social impact, encouraging every person's potential and having fun.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I get to meet hundreds of people who are committed to doing good and raising the consciousness and vibration of the world. At the same time, I meet many who are committed to ethical business, developing skills, serving the less fortunate, and creating all kinds of opportunities. I also create business and coaching clients from podcast guests. More often than anything else, I allow guests to speak about and spread the message of creation, hope, and opportunity that sits in their hearts.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
We belong to many podcasting platforms and receive applications from various sources. I speak often at events and invite people who meet the criteria to apply. I network regularly and find people with good stories and a powerful message.
After the application is approved, we record it on Zoom. We create professional graphics, audiograms, video clips, youtube videos, social media posts, and other assets so that the guests have great marketing tools to share their message.
► How do you market your show?
We market on all our social platforms and on multiple podcast outlets. We are on every major podcasting outlet and regularly do SCO and other activities to improve the ranking, increase the listenership and make the show valuable for both the guests and the listeners. We also email our list advising them of an upcoming episode. We do some paid ads on a variety of platforms, as needed. The majority of our listeners are on iTunes. We create a special YouTube video, with all SEO features and specifically target for top space on YouTube for our chosen keyword phrase, for example, Best Morning Routine for Productivity.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Podcasting is a labor of love. Start a podcast if you have a mission and are committed to it. Exactly how you do it will differ depending on your audience, your cadence, and the level of production you put into each show.
Start before you are ready. Go get guests without fear or hesitation. Make your show intended to serve instead of promote. Make a choice that you are in for the long haul. Have fun.
