► Tell us about you and your podcast
Hi, I’m Rebecca Shaddix—author, marketing executive, and host of Time Billionaires, a podcast for high-achievers who want more agency over how they spend their time. I’ve led marketing teams across fast-growing tech companies while living with chronic pain and managing anxiety, and I’ve spent years studying how people like me can feel more present, creative, and fulfilled—without overhauling their schedules.
Time Billionaires is based on a simple idea: if you expect to live another 31 years, you have over a billion seconds left. That makes you a billionaire—not in money, but in time. And the richest source of overlooked time? Micromoments: those 90-second to 15-minute gaps hidden between meetings, emails, and life’s obligations.
This podcast helps listeners reclaim those moments. Each solo episode is 7–15 minutes and offers quick, research-backed tips you can try immediately—whether you’re a busy executive, entrepreneur, or overwhelmed parent. You’ll hear everything from neuroscience-based strategies to creative, energizing exercises that make you feel more grounded and alive.
Our listeners are curious, driven people who want to get more out of life—not by doing more, but by making the time they already have feel more meaningful. If you’ve ever found yourself mindlessly scrolling between meetings or thinking “I just need a second to breathe,” this show is for you.
We don’t waste time—we help you spend it like the billionaire you already are.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
Listening to podcasts has always been one of my favorite ways to spend a micromoment! Whether I’m walking between meetings, making coffee, driving, or waiting in a doctor's office waiting room, I love listening to episodes that shift my mindset or teach me something new. I'm currently writing a book about the same topic as my podcast's topic, and realized that these tips and advice belong in a podcast too. It’s the exact kind of content that’s meant to be experienced in real time, in those small windows of the day we often overlook.
My goal was simple. I wanted to share what I’ve learned from years of research into what makes life feel meaningful and fulfilling. And, my realization that it doesn't take a complete schedule overhaul to find time in the day for the things we want to do. No matter how busy you are, there's time being wasted in small gaps, which holds big promise.
I realized that how I was spending those short in-between moments had a real impact on how I felt, how I showed up at work, and how connected I felt in my personal life. The science backs it up, but so does my lived experience. And I wanted to help other people feel that shift too.
I recorded my first episode in May of 2025 and released the show in July. It took about two months to build up a backlog of episodes and get the production details in place. I was motivated to start before my first baby is born, which will be any day now! This podcast is something I wanted to have out in the world before that next chapter begins.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I fund this myself, and think of it as an investment in my consulting business, even though I'm not directly trying to monetize it yet.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
Podcasting is still new for me, and the benefits so far have been validating and fulfilling, even though they're not monetized (yet.) I love the opportunity to test ideas I'm putting in my book, and meet new and interesting people who can share insight to include in the book.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I use Riverside to record, and Descript to edit. We record and interview in Riverside.
► How do you market your show?
LinkedIn has been my main focus and most useful channel so far.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Grow the Show with Kev Michael has been a great growth resource. I wish I'd known that The Podcast Academy existed! I would have signed up for the mentorship program before launching the podcast, and get a ton out of their resources now.
