In 1997, Brian founded one of Maryland’s largest therapy staffing companies, while at the same time launching a multi-site private practice which resulted in a sale in 2006. Brian reacquired the practice in 2008, thus doubling it, before winning “Practice of the Year” in 2011. MEG Business Management began in 2006 as an educational coaching company training owners and their key employees on innovative practice management strategies. MEG has taken a major leap forward by developing a virtual training platform where practice owners now have the tools and training resources to professionally enhance, track and manage employee performance and compliance. Having worked with hundreds of owners and been in and out of over 400 clinics nationwide, Brian reveals the winning strategies of the top 10% and gives actionable tools on how to improve your practice.
 

In addition to being a business coach, I also love being an educator - traveling around the country speaking at both the national and state levels of the physical therapy industry. I started this podcast in 2017 as a way to personally connect to practice owners and to convey my advice on the most pressing issues that I would hear from my clients and across the country. I wanted it to be a casual dialog, where they felt like they were getting direct coaching from me on a wide range of topics.
 

We release one episode per week. I consider my "sponsor" to be my company, MEG Business Management.
 

Podcasting has been a great way for me to reach a broader audience of practice owners and clinicians who are stuck or needing help in their business. I have people calling in all the time who found me through the podcast, or have been long-time listeners and finally decided that it was time to reach out and make a change. I like that the podcast has the power to motivate and inspire practice owners to not wait and to live the life that they've always envisioned for themselves.
 

I work very off-the-cuff, I've been in this industry for so long that I find I just need to be given a topic and I'll have 30-40 minutes worth of thoughts on it! I work closely with my Producer to find relevant guests who we feel would bring significant value to our niched audience. Once they fill out our intake form, we do a thorough review and decide whether to move forward or not. We try to do at least one interview per month, all through Zoom.
 

Listeners can find us wherever you listen to podcasts, and we promote weekly across all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn). We also put our Zoom interviews on YouTube, where we have a channel that I post to weekly as well.
 

I'm always trying to study up and learn how to bring the most value to my listeners, but honestly where I've found the most success is in the moments where I'm being the most authentically myself. Sometimes podcasts can feel canned or scripted to me, and that's fine if you need that in order to get started, but I get the best feedback when I just let loose and maybe go in an unplanned direction or tell a personal story to get my point across. Just be as truthfully yourself as you possibly can.
