== Early life ==
Kelly grew up in Bishopstoke, near Eastleigh in Hampshire and attended Wyvern Secondary School in neighbouring Fair Oak, then Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh. He obtained a double first in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
