Deshabandu Pinnaduwage Aravinda de silva (Sinhala: අරවින්ද ද සිල්වා; born 17 October 1965) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain. He has also played in English county cricket. Widely considered as one of the greatest batsmen ever produced by Sri Lanka, de silva helped Sri Lanka to win the 1996 Cricket World Cup and brought Sri Lanka from underdog status to present day form.
