“Kerplunk.” A sound that almost seems humorous. And yet today, we look at how this simple sound affected the lives of two different men, thousands of years apart.
Using 2 Kings 6 as our base text, we discover how each of us can experience our own “Kerplunk” moment. Something changes. Something falls apart. Something we were depending on suddenly disappears beneath the surface…even when we thought we were doing everything right.
So what do we do when we come across one of these moments in our lives? And perhaps more importantly, who do we take our seemingly insignificant problems to when it seems God has so much more important things to deal with?
Does God really care about the little things?
That’s what we explore today, beginning with one simple sound: “Kerplunk.”

We are a Bible-Based, Jesus Only small community church located in rural South-East Minnesota. Our building was originally constructed in 1861 and is the oldest protestant church building in continuous use in our county.
Many people have come and gone throughout the generations, but our goal will always remain: To Serve Jesus only, and learn from His Living Word, the Scriptures.
Our small church body are all admittedly sinners, that openly strive to improve our walk daily, but also understand that we are Redeemed by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and declared innocent in God’s eyes due to Grace Alone!
There is no act of baptism, charity or observation of communion that deems us worthy. No amount of following the law of Moses, or the ever-popular observation of legalism in many churches today that will save us. That is us believing in ourselves, rather than what Christ did for us completely.
If you struggle with understanding the concept of salvation or are plagued by false teachings of following traditions rather than Christ alone, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to help!
Please watch our archive of messages on a variety of topics. Please like and share our content with others that can benefit from what God has inspired our array of speakers to bring to the body.
Most importantly, be sure you are secure in your relationship with God and Christ Jesus. It is so simple. Do not wait. Tomorrow may be too late…
