ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Dr. Tabatha and Ashlee pull back the curtain on their coaching calls, rapid-firing real questions from Fast to Faith coaches: childhood wounds behind emotional eating, the truth about protein and hair loss, the vagus nerve and cortisol, and how to spot when you are underfueled. Plus one simple prayer practice for a better night's sleep, starting tonight.
In This Episode:
● A coaching academy rapid-fire: real questions Fast to Faith coaches are hearing on their weekly calls, answered live.
● How childhood wounds and attachment injuries show up as emotional eating, FOMO around food, and old hurt surfacing mid-program.
● Why your subconscious actually lives in your heart, not just your brain, and how to ask God to rewrite the programming running your food choices.
● The right way to journal versus venting into a diary, and why gratitude shifts what your brain starts looking for.
● What protein actually does for weight loss, and why 150 grams a day does nothing if you are sedentary.
● The truth about protein and hair loss (hint: it is probably not your protein intake).
● One thing to do tonight for better sleep: handing your worry list to God before your head hits the pillow.
● Mid-roll: Mag Lift — magnesium support for sleep, blood sugar, and mood.
● Red flags for underfueling: poor workout recovery, the 2 to 3pm crash, falling asleep on the couch after dinner.
Closing scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
Your healing story is someone else's roadmap.
And if you are still in the middle of your own - you need this too.
If you have ever wondered what it would look like to turn your transformation into your calling

TRANSCRIPT 🔗
00:02:06.429 --> 00:02:15.389
As soon as you aren't eating enough for more than probably two weeks, your thyroid will just like start alarming the system.
00:02:15.629 --> 00:02:20.509
And then your adrenals will hear that alarm and they'll be like, oh, she's starving us.
00:02:20.590 --> 00:02:22.750
We better turn down that metabolism.
00:02:22.990 --> 00:02:28.990
And then women wonder why they've plateaued or even started to gain, especially around the belly.
00:02:29.229 --> 00:02:44.430
So if you're tired of doing all the right things and still feeling exhausted, stuck in your body, and disconnected from God, this podcast is for you.
00:02:44.590 --> 00:02:45.150
I'm Dr.
00:02:45.229 --> 00:02:54.430
Tabitha, a triple board certified functional medicine physician, and I help women stop fighting their bodies and start healing them God's way.
00:02:54.669 --> 00:02:56.110
Let's get into it.
00:03:01.469 --> 00:03:02.430
Welcome back.
00:03:02.590 --> 00:03:15.229
This week we are pulling back the curtain on our coaching academy because the truth of it is we are constantly mentoring women and we are helping women help other women.
00:03:15.550 --> 00:03:40.430
And when we have these calls every week and I'm training, Ashley's training, we we sometimes see themes happen and we realize, okay, this narrative is being spun out in the wellness world right now or in the conventional medical space, and it's a lie, or it's not helpful, or there's some truth of it and it needs some clarification.
00:03:40.589 --> 00:03:44.509
So we just thought, why don't we bring this to the podcast?
00:03:44.750 --> 00:03:51.229
Because every woman is probably asking this question because we keep hearing it in the coaching calls.
00:03:51.389 --> 00:03:57.229
So we're gonna dive in and you're just gonna like rapid fire some stuff at me for us to discuss.
00:03:57.389 --> 00:03:58.990
I might even ask you a few questions.
00:03:59.229 --> 00:03:59.789
Oh bless.
00:03:59.870 --> 00:04:01.709
That was not in the plan, but let's do it.
00:04:01.870 --> 00:04:02.990
No, I'm just kidding.
00:04:03.149 --> 00:04:08.110
So I think the importance, let's go back to the episode about awake and restore and rise.
00:04:08.189 --> 00:04:11.709
And we take Rise really seriously at our coaching academy.
00:04:11.789 --> 00:04:14.189
We are constantly up-leveling ourselves.
00:04:14.350 --> 00:04:21.949
Um, if people knew how much time you spend pouring into yourself to learn, and um they would probably be like, wait, what?
00:04:22.110 --> 00:04:23.550
Because that's how I feel sometimes.
00:04:23.629 --> 00:04:25.949
Cause I will text Tabitha and I'll be like, and I'm done.
00:04:26.110 --> 00:04:30.909
Like I can literally, I'm tapping out of this little training that we're doing because I can consume no more.
00:04:31.069 --> 00:04:36.589
And so we all learn differently, but we take it serious to continue to rise so that our coaches rise.
00:04:36.750 --> 00:04:38.189
This is really important to us.
00:04:38.350 --> 00:04:39.389
And so here we go.
00:04:39.469 --> 00:04:41.469
We're diving in and we're not messing around today.
00:04:41.550 --> 00:04:42.029
Are you ready?
00:04:42.189 --> 00:04:42.829
Okay, let's go.
00:04:43.069 --> 00:04:43.310
All right.
00:04:43.389 --> 00:05:00.750
So the first one, one of our coaches is seeing a pattern across her clients of childhood wounds and the attachment injuries, and they're showing up as emotional eating, FOMO around food, troubled journaling, old hurt surfacing, mid-program, so meaning mid-40-day program.
00:05:00.909 --> 00:05:06.029
And she wants to know how is trauma and attachment actually driving this?
00:05:06.430 --> 00:05:09.709
It's a big loaded here we go question.
00:05:10.029 --> 00:05:12.829
Yeah, and we've done episodes on this.
00:05:13.069 --> 00:05:18.110
I would love to encourage you to go back and listen to the episode with Dr.
00:05:18.189 --> 00:05:19.069
Russ Irwin.
00:05:19.310 --> 00:05:19.790
Absolutely.
00:05:20.029 --> 00:05:25.469
Um, the episode with Lydia Hatton, where we talk about subconscious programming.
00:05:26.189 --> 00:05:39.230
And uh here's something that I've really learned this year from Dan Duval, who is the director of Bride Ministries, is our subconscious is actually in our heart.
00:05:39.550 --> 00:05:47.469
And that is a wild concept because in medical school, I learned that your subconscious is just deeper in your brain.
00:05:47.629 --> 00:05:52.829
It's just like the part of your brain that you're not conscious or aware of.
00:05:53.069 --> 00:06:02.589
Um, but there is a good argument that what desires you have in your heart, what thoughts you have in your heart is what flows from it.
00:06:02.750 --> 00:06:06.750
That that is what the Bible explains to be your subconscious.
00:06:06.990 --> 00:06:13.069
Your driving behaviors are from deep beliefs and desires.
00:06:13.310 --> 00:06:16.029
And so that's your subconscious.
00:06:16.350 --> 00:06:21.870
Wherever you believe it, it lives, it is running the show.
00:06:21.949 --> 00:06:23.149
It is a program.
00:06:23.629 --> 00:06:27.949
So, you know, when you turn on your phone, it does something.
00:06:28.029 --> 00:06:32.589
There's a program running it in the background that you don't think about.
00:06:32.750 --> 00:06:36.349
You don't think, how is this text going to get to Ashley?
00:06:36.509 --> 00:06:38.909
The text just gets to Ashley, right?
00:06:39.310 --> 00:06:58.509
And so when we see a cookie, we have a subconscious program that uh makes our hand reach for it and makes us eat it, and it gives us a dopamine hit and it helps us feel better and it gives us energy and it does all these chemical physical reactions.
00:06:58.990 --> 00:07:12.029
And so it's our job to uncover some of that subconscious programming and learn how to be coders, like how to read that programming and then rewrite it.
00:07:12.269 --> 00:07:16.430
And we look to God to rewrite that subconscious programming.
00:07:16.589 --> 00:07:26.669
So obviously, I can't answer this question on this podcast episode, but I can tell you that we can absolutely tackle it.
00:07:26.990 --> 00:07:52.829
And we have had countless women praying in fast of faith, including ourselves, heal uh childhood wounds, trauma deep that we didn't even know existed, that we didn't know were running those programs, because there is a way to um ask God to reveal your subconscious beliefs, to reveal all of that coding and then to help rewrite it.
00:07:52.990 --> 00:08:05.310
So that is the deeper part of fast of faith that we don't talk about usually because you can't even think about healing trauma, childhood wounds, any of that.
00:08:05.469 --> 00:08:07.310
First of all, that sounds really scary.
00:08:07.389 --> 00:08:11.709
No one, nobody wants to excavate that stuff by themselves, right?
00:08:11.789 --> 00:08:13.069
And never should you.
00:08:13.229 --> 00:08:15.149
You should do it with the Holy Spirit.
00:08:15.629 --> 00:08:20.029
Um but you don't even know it's there most of the time.
00:08:20.349 --> 00:08:32.350
Like I I know that you've shared a lot of your your healing journey and things that you didn't realize until we started saying, Holy Spirit, why am I making this choice?
00:08:32.509 --> 00:08:33.549
What is driving this?
00:08:33.710 --> 00:08:35.389
And we started to unpack it.
00:08:35.629 --> 00:08:58.590
So it's such a safe place inside of our sisterhood that we can actually do this work because we invite the Holy Spirit in and we create a safe space for each other, and we have the tools to be able to do it, and that is really how you get healing and restoration.
00:08:58.750 --> 00:09:00.430
So I wish there was a quick answer.
00:09:00.669 --> 00:09:01.710
No, it's not a quick answer.
00:09:01.870 --> 00:09:07.070
The one thing I do want to hit on is the journaling and the a client that's hitting the wall in the journaling.
00:09:07.310 --> 00:09:12.430
Is that because it's it's just going deeper than what they really want to go and they're willing to go?
00:09:13.310 --> 00:09:13.789
Yeah.
00:09:14.269 --> 00:09:23.230
To me, journaling is really powerful because our thoughts will continue to swirl and spiral in our mind.
00:09:23.389 --> 00:09:25.710
We will vociverate, we will ruminate.
00:09:25.789 --> 00:09:34.190
All those big words of just like, I'm just gonna like focus on the problem, and then the solution can't happen.
00:09:34.350 --> 00:09:45.149
And when you start journaling and you start writing it, and we teach you in the program like how to journal, how to pray, start with an attitude of gratitude.
00:09:45.230 --> 00:09:49.950
That is what the Bible says is you start with Thanksgiving and you start with worship.
00:09:50.110 --> 00:10:04.990
Thank you, God, that you're amazing and incredible, and that you've actually given me the ability to sit down and do this journaling right now, and that will shift your perspective subconsciously to be looking for more good things.
00:10:05.310 --> 00:10:08.750
And then your brain can start to find the solution.
00:10:08.909 --> 00:10:16.669
I say, like you have to write it down to see it, to make it be found.
00:10:17.070 --> 00:10:24.590
And it's really powerful, but there's blockages in there that we need to work through together 100%.
00:10:25.149 --> 00:10:28.509
Yeah, it's always fun to see what women journal on day one.
00:10:28.590 --> 00:10:30.590
If they're willing to share, they'll show their journals.
00:10:30.669 --> 00:10:31.789
We get this a lot on social media.
00:10:31.950 --> 00:10:38.509
Women tag us, and like day one, they've hardly written anything, and by day 40, there's not enough room on the paper.
00:10:38.669 --> 00:10:40.590
And I also think it's really powerful to go back.
00:10:40.750 --> 00:10:50.990
I talk about this a lot, go back and look at what you wrote too, because you don't even realize how much you've lived in 40 days, especially when you're writing gratitude and how important that is to go back and look at it.
00:10:51.149 --> 00:10:54.590
So yeah, I I think about the how I used to pray.
00:10:54.669 --> 00:10:55.870
I prayed like a beggar.
00:10:56.029 --> 00:10:58.269
I used to just beg, God's so true.
00:10:58.669 --> 00:11:02.429
God save me from the circumstance, remove these people from my life.
00:11:02.590 --> 00:11:05.069
And he he doesn't want that.
00:11:05.230 --> 00:11:12.909
No, he wants to change you, he wants to help you get through the circumstance, he wants to empower you.
00:11:13.069 --> 00:11:17.549
And so journaling is like uh it's a revelation.
00:11:17.629 --> 00:11:22.829
It it unpacks that, it shows that to you, it teaches you how to actually do that.
00:11:22.909 --> 00:11:25.470
But there's a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it.
00:11:25.629 --> 00:11:28.909
You can sit and be miserable in your journaling.
00:11:28.990 --> 00:11:30.509
That's what I call a diary.
00:11:30.669 --> 00:11:32.750
Just like, oh, woe is me.
00:11:32.909 --> 00:11:33.949
He doesn't like me.
00:11:34.110 --> 00:11:36.429
None of the kids picked me at school.
00:11:36.590 --> 00:11:38.909
Like your middle school diary.
00:11:39.069 --> 00:11:41.069
It's miserable, it's terrible.
00:11:41.230 --> 00:11:42.269
That's not journaling.
00:11:42.590 --> 00:11:43.149
Whining.
00:11:43.470 --> 00:11:46.590
Journaling is an empowering experience.
00:11:46.750 --> 00:11:55.470
It is actually learning to hear from God and to get his voice to come through and get your own crap out of the way.
00:11:55.710 --> 00:11:56.029
Yeah.
00:11:56.269 --> 00:11:58.990
All right, let's move on from the heavy stuff to some protein.
00:11:59.149 --> 00:12:02.269
Let's talk about proteins, what women like to talk about.
00:12:02.429 --> 00:12:03.949
So this one comes up constantly.
00:12:04.110 --> 00:12:07.149
What does the program actually use protein for in weight loss?
00:12:07.230 --> 00:12:11.870
And how does that change based on a woman's workouts or lack of them?
00:12:12.509 --> 00:12:17.789
I think it's really important to understand the point of protein.
00:12:18.269 --> 00:12:25.549
Protein is a macro, just like fat and carbohydrates, but protein, those are building blocks.
00:12:25.710 --> 00:12:30.350
So it's a bunch of amino acids all connected in different ways.
00:12:30.509 --> 00:12:44.269
And so amino acids I think of as single Lego blocks, like you got your blue ones and your red ones and your yellow ones, and you can build an infinite amount of buildings and structures with Legos.
00:12:44.429 --> 00:12:46.909
And that's what you can do with amino acids.
00:12:46.990 --> 00:12:48.669
You make different proteins.
00:12:48.909 --> 00:13:01.470
So when we're eating protein, our stomach breaks them back down into their single Lego blocks, and you have all those amino acids, and then your body uses them to make different proteins.
00:13:01.629 --> 00:13:22.590
So it takes animal protein and it makes ferritin and transferrin and all of these um different things that your cells use to um to make enzymes, to repair muscle, to repair tendons and ligaments, and for your eye health, and like you name it, it's a building block.
00:13:23.870 --> 00:13:27.549
A lot of people think that it's just more energy resource.
00:13:27.710 --> 00:13:32.909
You're not eating protein after a workout because you're tired and you need energy.
00:13:33.069 --> 00:13:43.309
You're you're eating protein to restore the damage done to your muscles and your joints and to strengthen your heart muscle and all of those things.
00:13:43.470 --> 00:13:50.509
And so this idea of like you just need 150 grams of protein and you'll be healthy.
00:13:50.990 --> 00:14:00.669
If you're not in the gym, if you're not tearing that muscle down, if you're not moving your body, there's nothing to repair and to restore.
00:14:00.909 --> 00:14:09.789
So if you're eating 150 grams of protein and you're sitting at your desk for eight hours a day, not moving your body, you're going to gain weight.
00:14:09.949 --> 00:14:11.629
You're not using that protein.
00:14:11.710 --> 00:14:13.230
It is getting stored.
00:14:13.549 --> 00:14:15.309
So that's number one.
00:14:15.549 --> 00:14:26.990
Number two is we don't break down muscle for energy until we've expended the fats and the carbohydrate resources.
00:14:27.309 --> 00:14:31.230
So really we have to understand macros better, I think.
00:14:31.389 --> 00:14:40.350
So if you if your number one focus is to lose weight, we do have to look at the macro amount of protein that you're eating.
00:14:40.429 --> 00:14:43.149
And it very much depends on your activity level.
00:14:43.309 --> 00:14:52.990
So that's something we really talk about in Fast of Faith is if you are working out and you need those protein requirements, let's get after it.
00:14:53.230 --> 00:14:58.909
But if you're sedentary and you're trying to lose weight, that's gonna prevent weight loss.
00:14:59.149 --> 00:15:04.750
Yeah, so this is where it's really important to work with a coach because we have different plans.
00:15:04.909 --> 00:15:06.829
So the general plan is out there.
00:15:06.909 --> 00:15:09.069
You can find it in the book, you can find it anywhere.
00:15:09.230 --> 00:15:12.509
But if you need something specific, that's where the coaching comes in.
00:15:12.669 --> 00:15:17.389
And also, um, you said this in the very beginning, but our coaches get to ask you these questions.
00:15:17.470 --> 00:15:20.029
So these are questions we've actually already answered for our coaches.
00:15:20.110 --> 00:15:22.189
We were answering them for you today.
00:15:22.350 --> 00:15:24.029
But the coaches can come and ask.
00:15:24.110 --> 00:15:28.509
Like, so let's say Sally has something very specific that we don't have a plan for.
00:15:28.669 --> 00:15:32.509
Um, they come and they get to ask Morgan and you those questions and get those answered.
00:15:32.590 --> 00:15:38.829
And I think that's what's really cool and special about having a coach because we don't just train our coaches and then say, best of luck out there.
00:15:38.990 --> 00:15:42.829
We're constantly mentoring them every single week, which is a rare find.
00:15:42.909 --> 00:15:46.750
So yeah, you just don't see that in the coaching world anywhere else.
00:15:46.990 --> 00:15:53.949
The fact that they get to continue to be trained by us every single week after their program is complete.
00:15:54.110 --> 00:15:56.350
That's why they're such awesome coaches.
00:15:56.590 --> 00:15:58.990
Absolutely, and why they can best help their clients.
00:15:59.309 --> 00:16:07.629
So um, something else that she uh said was she also asked about protein and hair loss and how to get enough without it turning into overeating.
00:16:08.110 --> 00:16:10.029
I thought this was an interesting question.
00:16:10.269 --> 00:16:10.909
Yes.
00:16:11.389 --> 00:16:17.549
Um lack of protein is not the major cause for hair loss.
00:16:17.710 --> 00:16:19.549
Let's get that right out of the way.
00:16:19.789 --> 00:16:22.110
That is a myth that's going around.
00:16:22.189 --> 00:16:24.909
I need to eat more protein because I'm losing my hair.
00:16:25.069 --> 00:16:29.389
Hair loss is number one an inflammation issue.
00:16:29.710 --> 00:16:34.909
We have hair follicles that are inside of our scalp.
00:16:35.309 --> 00:16:44.909
And if that little area is inflamed, it cannot hold the hair follicle, the bulb, in place and it will release and fall out.
00:16:45.149 --> 00:16:53.309
And if you lose blood supply to those little areas, you're not gonna regrow a new follicle, unfortunately.
00:16:53.470 --> 00:17:06.190
And so we see a lot of this with chronic inflammatory diseases, either autoimmune, like Hashimoto's, uh, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease.
00:17:06.350 --> 00:17:17.950
Um, we see it with gastric bypass surgery and different um surgeries that affect your stomach acid production and its ability to absorb vitamins and minerals.
00:17:18.110 --> 00:17:25.069
So, vitamin and mineral deficiency is probably number two reason for hair loss or hair non-regrow.
00:17:25.630 --> 00:17:33.950
And so that's why supplements that really give you back your B vitamins and your vitamin D and those types of things can be helpful.
00:17:34.430 --> 00:17:38.430
Um, but I would say inflammation is the biggest one.
00:17:38.670 --> 00:17:45.150
So it's you have to be so deficient in protein for that to be causing your hair loss.
00:17:45.309 --> 00:17:46.430
That's not your problem.
00:17:46.829 --> 00:17:47.230
All right.
00:17:47.390 --> 00:17:54.910
So this next question is something that we talked about all, I guess we'll call it season.
00:17:54.990 --> 00:18:00.269
So when I first joined you in January of this year, we have so many episodes on this.
00:18:00.430 --> 00:18:08.190
So we're gonna make this super quick the vagus nerve cortisol and how stress and sleep or the lack of it affect weight and health overall.
00:18:08.269 --> 00:18:09.470
So here's what I want you to do.
00:18:09.630 --> 00:18:16.350
I want you to just give us one thing, because women can go back and listen to the old episodes and learn how much stress is impacting their life.
00:18:16.509 --> 00:18:20.829
I want you to just give us one thing that women can do tonight to change this.
00:18:21.309 --> 00:18:21.950
Hmm.
00:18:22.190 --> 00:18:24.029
That's gonna set the tone.
00:18:24.670 --> 00:18:28.110
This is what I started doing and it had the greatest impact.
00:18:28.350 --> 00:18:30.430
Number one, you have to sleep enough.
00:18:30.990 --> 00:18:40.029
But when you're lying there before you go to sleep, you have a conversation with God and you say, Here's everything on my plate that I'm worrying about.
00:18:40.190 --> 00:18:46.509
I'm gonna hand this over to you tonight because it's not gonna get fixed tonight.
00:18:47.069 --> 00:18:50.269
And a lot of women need to write it down.
00:18:50.430 --> 00:19:05.549
Like just write down everything you know that you're gonna be worried about tomorrow or the rest of the week or the rest of the month, and say, God, I'm handing this over to you so that I can get a beautiful night's sleep and trust that he's gonna hold it for you.
00:19:05.710 --> 00:19:16.269
Because I promise you, if you don't do that, your subconscious is going to be working on those problems while you're trying to sleep.
00:19:16.430 --> 00:19:19.629
And it causes so much sleep disruption.
00:19:19.869 --> 00:19:26.430
It affects the dreams that you have, but it really does cause a lot of night awakening.
00:19:26.589 --> 00:19:45.230
And women, you know, they want to blame their bladder, and sometimes that's an issue because of blood sugar, things like that, um, or hormone dysregulation, low estrogen, alcohol, all of those other things, but it really is the problems that your subconscious is mulling over.
00:19:45.629 --> 00:19:51.710
So that practice of writing it down, handing it over to God is really powerful.
00:19:51.869 --> 00:19:52.910
It actually works.
00:19:53.230 --> 00:19:54.029
Yeah, it does.
00:19:54.190 --> 00:19:57.549
I also think it's super important before you go to bed to take mag lift.
00:19:59.629 --> 00:20:04.829
Real quick, I just want to interrupt this conversation for something super important.
00:20:05.789 --> 00:20:16.029
Even though we need to take care of ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically, we do have to take care of ourselves at a cellular level.
00:20:16.190 --> 00:20:19.549
And that is why I have my Fast to Face supplement line.
00:20:19.629 --> 00:20:27.470
So let's just take a minute to hear about something that might be the game changer that you need in this season.
00:20:27.789 --> 00:20:28.750
Let's lock it down.
00:20:28.829 --> 00:20:31.629
Let's do a quick overview of Maglift and why it's important again.
00:20:31.869 --> 00:20:35.389
So, magnesium is a mineral that is from the earth.
00:20:35.549 --> 00:20:40.269
It is something that is responsible for hundreds of enzymatic processes in our bodies.
00:20:40.430 --> 00:20:42.509
And if we don't have it, you're gonna feel it.
00:20:42.750 --> 00:20:44.589
Most people don't get enough magnesium.
00:20:44.750 --> 00:20:46.670
It's not in our diet the way that are used to.
00:20:46.750 --> 00:20:47.950
Our soil is very depleted.
00:20:48.190 --> 00:20:52.190
When you consume certain foods, you only get about 10% of the minerals from the food.
00:20:52.349 --> 00:20:53.710
It isn't always the case.
00:20:53.869 --> 00:20:56.109
It's just that is oftentimes can be the case.
00:20:56.269 --> 00:21:00.829
So it's really important to supplement so that your processes in your body can work well.
00:21:00.990 --> 00:21:06.990
So we're talking blood sugar, we're talking blood pressure, we're talking anxiety, we're talking depression.
00:21:07.230 --> 00:21:10.430
Every single process in the body pretty much relies on magnesium.
00:21:10.509 --> 00:21:18.029
So if you want to function well, migraines, it can be, it's been shown to be helpful depending on your situation, if you struggle with uh the migraines.
00:21:18.190 --> 00:21:24.109
There was a study where um it performed as well as an antidepressant in patients with depression.
00:21:24.349 --> 00:21:28.190
So I have been on so many antidepressants.
00:21:28.349 --> 00:21:37.389
Over 20 years, I was on Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, LextoPro, Effeccer, which was impossible to get off.
00:21:37.470 --> 00:21:40.829
I like effects is evil in my mind.
00:21:40.990 --> 00:21:42.190
Um, it's a struggle.
00:21:42.269 --> 00:21:46.349
I've helped many patients get off of it, but it's hard.
00:21:46.589 --> 00:21:52.670
The way I got off of it was getting on hormone tame, D3K2 lift, and mag lift.
00:21:52.910 --> 00:21:57.789
Like, I've never once thought I need to go back on those medications.
00:21:57.950 --> 00:21:59.230
It's crazy.
00:21:59.470 --> 00:22:03.869
Like, oh my gosh, I just needed some vitamins and minerals.
00:22:04.109 --> 00:22:04.430
I know.
00:22:04.589 --> 00:22:10.430
And when you look at how hormones are, um sorry, neurotransmitters specifically are synthesized.
00:22:10.589 --> 00:22:13.389
If you break down the pathway, magnesium is literally required.
00:22:13.549 --> 00:22:14.670
Vitamin C is required.
00:22:14.750 --> 00:22:17.230
Like mineral minerals and vitamins are required.
00:22:17.389 --> 00:22:19.470
That's where this tug of war keeps coming in.
00:22:19.629 --> 00:22:23.389
So when you give your body enough of these nutrients and therapeutic doses, guess what?
00:22:23.549 --> 00:22:24.589
It can work for you.
00:22:24.829 --> 00:22:29.069
I don't think people realize that minerals are the spark plugs of our body.
00:22:29.309 --> 00:22:33.549
They actually help our energy move and go where it needs to go.
00:22:33.710 --> 00:22:34.829
Like they give us life.
00:22:34.990 --> 00:22:40.750
It's just, it's, it's a pretty, you know, inexpensive product and it does wonders and it just does so many things in the body.
00:22:40.990 --> 00:22:46.670
Yeah, I mean, we get our patients and clients saying, I just, I will never live without Maglift.
00:22:46.910 --> 00:22:52.430
Now that I understand how well I sleep and how much better I feel, like, don't ever take it away from me.
00:22:52.670 --> 00:22:53.309
Yeah.
00:22:54.910 --> 00:22:56.190
All right, two more.
00:22:56.430 --> 00:23:02.990
But the one of them, I'm going to say this we get a lot of questions about understanding labs and the normal.
00:23:03.069 --> 00:23:05.950
And again, we focused on this a lot in the last season.
00:23:06.109 --> 00:23:13.150
Almost every episode touched on the importance of understanding that the normal lab ranges that your PCP is giving you are probably not good.
00:23:13.230 --> 00:23:17.389
So we have a read your own lab guide that I highly recommend that women get.
00:23:17.549 --> 00:23:20.670
And again, this is something during the 40-day program.
00:23:20.910 --> 00:23:28.750
You get to come on, and every Monday you're there, and women can bring questions to you and ask them, ask you medical questions, which also makes the program really special.
00:23:28.910 --> 00:23:32.029
So I'm not really going to touch on that one today because I feel like we already have.
00:23:32.109 --> 00:23:39.789
But this is probably my favorite question that we got all together is spotting the underfueled client.
00:23:40.109 --> 00:23:42.829
So, in general, nutrition troubleshooting for coaches.
00:23:42.910 --> 00:23:46.349
So, what are some red flags when you're coaching women?
00:23:46.430 --> 00:23:54.029
Um, and when our coaches are coaching women, or if you're just a woman out there and you're like, you think you're eating enough, but you're actually underfueled, what does that look like?
00:23:54.109 --> 00:23:55.549
What are some red flags?
00:23:56.990 --> 00:24:04.589
We had a time period where we got a big influx of women from another fasting community.
00:24:04.750 --> 00:24:04.910
Yeah.
00:24:05.230 --> 00:24:10.910
And they were Stuck in the 16-8 rut or the one meal a day rut.
00:24:11.069 --> 00:24:19.470
And so there was no appetite, they were barely eating, and so they had low energy and they just didn't feel good.
00:24:19.549 --> 00:24:21.710
And then they weren't sleeping as well.
00:24:21.869 --> 00:24:24.829
And the truth of it was they weren't eating enough.
00:24:25.150 --> 00:24:30.829
So fasting is an incredible tool, but we have to mix it up.
00:24:30.990 --> 00:24:33.869
We cannot do the same thing every day.
00:24:34.109 --> 00:24:52.589
And so underfueling often looks like not being able to get through a workout or not recovering well from a workout, being sore for extra days, um, being tired, uh, wanting to take a nap at two or three in the afternoon.
00:24:52.670 --> 00:24:57.309
That's a big one, or falling asleep on the couch after dinner.
00:24:57.470 --> 00:25:03.470
If that is happening to you, get your butt out for a walk after you eat.
00:25:03.629 --> 00:25:10.269
You really have to get that blood sugar regulated and moving your body, but then you have to eat more.
00:25:10.430 --> 00:25:13.470
So we teach carb cycling in Fast of Faith.
00:25:13.629 --> 00:25:17.230
That is what differentiates men from women.
00:25:17.470 --> 00:25:27.309
Women need to carb cycle in order to have a healthy metabolism and keep their weight balance and their energy up.
00:25:27.549 --> 00:25:34.910
So it is really easy to not eat enough when you have a fasting lifestyle.
00:25:35.230 --> 00:25:41.549
I admit, like I can fall prey to that really easily because I'm so busy during the day.
00:25:41.629 --> 00:25:49.069
And I don't want to stop to prepare food or to feed myself or do all of that, but you have to.
00:25:49.549 --> 00:25:55.470
It's really absolutely essential to maintaining a healthy metabolism.
00:25:55.629 --> 00:26:09.710
As soon as you aren't eating enough for more than probably two weeks, your thyroid will just like start alarming the system, and then your adrenals will hear that alarm and they'll be like, Oh, she's starving us.
00:26:09.789 --> 00:26:11.950
We better turn down that metabolism.
00:26:12.190 --> 00:26:18.190
And then women wonder why they've plateaued or even started to gain, especially around the belly.
00:26:18.430 --> 00:26:20.990
So there is a better way.
00:26:21.230 --> 00:26:24.269
Fast of faith is that way we can teach you all of that.
00:26:24.509 --> 00:26:34.750
Yeah, and that goes back to the coaching again and having that one-on-one coach because we have different plans for different places that you're in, and your age matters too, like you're saying.
00:26:34.910 --> 00:26:44.190
So absolutely, yeah, and it's it's forced us to grow because when this program was originally created, it wasn't for every woman, and we have now created that.
00:26:44.269 --> 00:26:45.309
So that's the cool part.
00:26:45.470 --> 00:26:53.549
So every single thing here today that I just rapid fire rapid fired at you the trauma, the protein, the cortisol, the labs, the underfueling.
00:26:53.710 --> 00:26:57.789
Um, if you have a question, that is what's inside the 40-day program.
00:26:57.869 --> 00:27:06.910
Every single Monday, you get to come, you get to bring these questions to Tabitha, and she answers them for you as a doctor, and it is, it makes the program unique and special.
00:27:07.150 --> 00:27:15.230
So I highly encourage you that if you're looking for a new program or you're just looking for a sisterhood or community to join our 40-day program.
00:27:15.470 --> 00:27:16.589
It's actually insane.
00:27:16.750 --> 00:27:26.509
Like, I don't know any other doctor who gives that much time to just sit and be able to ask questions to.
00:27:27.069 --> 00:27:33.710
Um, usually you're paying thousands of dollars to have that kind of interaction with a triple board certified doctor.
00:27:33.869 --> 00:27:35.789
I'm not trying to toot my own horn.
00:27:35.869 --> 00:27:49.789
I am saying, like, I do this because God has called me to, and it's a very awesome um opportunity for you to heal in a group setting without breaking the bank.
00:27:49.950 --> 00:27:51.629
Like it's it's cold.
00:27:52.109 --> 00:27:54.990
So if you're like, I have a question, we're ready for you.
00:27:55.069 --> 00:27:55.710
Come on Monday.
00:27:55.869 --> 00:27:56.910
We can't wait to see you there.
00:27:56.990 --> 00:27:57.230
Yeah.
00:27:57.309 --> 00:27:59.309
What scripture are you leaving with us today?
00:27:59.869 --> 00:28:03.309
I'm gonna leave you with Proverbs 3, 5 to 6.
00:28:03.549 --> 00:28:04.829
Meditate on this week.
00:28:04.990 --> 00:28:07.710
Talk to God about this scripture.
00:28:07.869 --> 00:28:10.670
Ask him what he's trying to say to you.
00:28:10.910 --> 00:28:16.670
It says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
00:28:16.910 --> 00:28:21.549
In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
00:28:22.109 --> 00:28:25.069
This is the foundation of fast to faith.
00:28:25.549 --> 00:28:28.829
We ask God, what do you have planned for me?
00:28:29.069 --> 00:28:42.829
Give me those desires in my heart, rewrite my subconscious so that I can make different choices and show up as a better version of myself, the version that you have created me to be.
00:28:43.069 --> 00:28:45.230
So I hope that's what you hear this week.
00:28:45.309 --> 00:28:47.230
I think it's going to be.
00:28:47.549 --> 00:28:49.470
God wants the best for you.
00:28:49.629 --> 00:28:50.829
He loves you.
00:28:50.910 --> 00:28:54.509
You are his daughter, he's making a way for you.
00:28:54.750 --> 00:28:57.069
There's a reason you heard this episode.
00:28:57.309 --> 00:28:59.389
We are here for you when you're ready.
00:28:59.549 --> 00:29:00.589
We'll see you next week.
00:29:00.829 --> 00:29:04.990
Yeah, and don't forget we have our Lay It Down one day virtual event, and we would love to see you there.
00:29:05.549 --> 00:29:07.069
Yes, click the link below.
00:29:07.230 --> 00:29:07.789

00:29:29.869 --> 00:29:31.549
So use your voice.
00:29:31.789 --> 00:29:36.670
Hit subscribe, hit the like button, share with a friend.
00:29:36.829 --> 00:29:42.190
And the other thing, I want you to download the five day challenge and get started on it.
00:29:42.349 --> 00:29:43.950
Take imperfect action.
