00:00:01.439 --> 00:00:08.480
Most people spend their entire life stress without ever giving a single thought as to what it is they really want and what's important to them.
00:00:09.279 --> 00:00:14.640
See how we heard a couple of the noise connecting you to yourself and the life that you were meant to live.
00:00:15.119 --> 00:00:17.679
I used to live away the copper job and I hate it.
00:00:18.239 --> 00:00:20.800
I broke through the social life.
00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:24.079
As a result, I am my own coffee company.
00:00:24.239 --> 00:00:25.359
I'm a custom company.
00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:27.359
And I get this crap a little bit.
00:00:28.399 --> 00:00:30.719
You too can live a life that you live.
00:00:31.039 --> 00:00:32.320
But it starts within literally.
00:00:33.759 --> 00:00:37.679
It starts within the host company Rouse.
00:00:40.399 --> 00:00:41.359
One life.
00:00:58.880 --> 00:01:04.159
One of the most important things that we can do in our life is to show up for ourselves.
00:01:04.560 --> 00:01:11.599
But to in order to know how do we show up for ourselves, we have to understand kind of what gets in the way of showing up for ourselves.
00:01:12.239 --> 00:01:14.319
And this is all to piggyback on.
00:01:14.400 --> 00:01:18.640
I'm in the middle of a challenge, a Mel Robbins challenge called High Five.
00:01:19.040 --> 00:01:24.719
And to give you just kind of like a brief synopsis without going into the actual well, I haven't read the book.
00:01:24.799 --> 00:01:26.480
It's just a challenge right now.
00:01:26.640 --> 00:01:34.319
Um, it's about acknowledging yourself, giving yourself a high five in those tough moments to say, you know what?
00:01:34.560 --> 00:01:35.280
I see you.
00:01:35.359 --> 00:01:43.920
I'm giving you presence, I'm giving you the uh acknowledgement that you're going through something hard and that you can get through this.
00:01:44.640 --> 00:01:48.159
So what I was saying was, what gets in the way of doing that?
00:01:49.120 --> 00:01:57.840
And a lot of it is the patterns that we get stuck to this this old self that is afraid of what can possibly go wrong.
00:01:58.959 --> 00:02:09.039
But when you show up for yourself, similarly to when someone that you you uh admire and put confidence in when they show up for you, how do you feel?
00:02:10.240 --> 00:02:12.400
It gives you the will to move forward.
00:02:12.479 --> 00:02:14.479
So instead of someone else doing it.
00:02:15.039 --> 00:02:27.280
The goal of this uh episode here is for you to start doing yourself, also, but to uh to check out the book, High Five, or at least engage in the challenge that you can uh you could subscribe to on the Growth Day app.
00:02:27.360 --> 00:02:29.680
Uh just go to the app store and hit growth day.
00:02:29.840 --> 00:02:35.039
So let me go into my experience with this, um, how it applied to my life.
00:02:35.120 --> 00:02:40.639
So this way you can see maybe if it's something that you want to incorporate into your own life.
00:02:40.960 --> 00:02:57.680
So, with regard to uh just showing up for myself, one of the hardest things in this in this challenge is say, like looking in the mirror, like when you look in the mirror, what are the emotions that you that you see, or what do you say to yourself when you're looking in the mirror?
00:02:58.400 --> 00:03:02.879
Like most people probably look in the mirror and they start to rip themselves apart.
00:03:03.520 --> 00:03:05.199
I was no exception of that.
00:03:05.280 --> 00:03:10.319
I would look at like, you know, my hairline and like wrinkles in my face, and like, man, you look tired.
00:03:10.479 --> 00:03:14.000
Man, what is my right side receding more than my left?
00:03:14.159 --> 00:03:14.879
What's going on?
00:03:15.039 --> 00:03:25.680
And I would I would start to beat myself down to the point where it was difficult to look into the mirror and almost like I was looking with disgust and disappointment.
00:03:26.960 --> 00:03:42.479
So then I when I started doing this challenge, when I started doing the high five, it would it reminded me of an experience I had when I was looking in the mirror, and every single day I had to pick something out about myself that I love and admired.
00:03:43.199 --> 00:03:54.159
All of a sudden, when you look in the mirror, instead of looking at the faults, right, and and things that are wrong and what you've done wrong in the past, you're looking for things to be grateful about and appreciative about yourself.
00:03:54.960 --> 00:04:06.240
So with this high five, it was giving yourself the high five in the mirror and stating, giving the intention of how you want to show up in your day, because this is being done at the beginning of the day.
00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:16.240
And as a result of doing that and giving yourself the high five, and this is where the science behind like the whole high five uh gets really interesting.
00:04:16.560 --> 00:04:24.079
Because while you may have these feelings of like, uh, you know, like, man, I feel I failed in the past, and what this is wrong, that's wrong.
00:04:24.240 --> 00:04:27.439
The moment you give that high five, you trigger something else.
00:04:27.680 --> 00:04:34.720
And it's to say that every single movement in our body, every physiology has with it a corresponding emotion.
00:04:34.959 --> 00:04:41.439
When you think of someone who's sad and depressed, this shoulders slip in, head goes down, they start to stalk, talk quietly.
00:04:42.959 --> 00:04:45.120
And you know how it goes, right?
00:04:45.199 --> 00:04:50.000
But think of someone who is excited, someone who is passionate about life, how do they conduct themselves, right?
00:04:50.160 --> 00:04:55.199
Shoulders back, they speed with, they speak with a faster cadence, they're excited.
00:04:55.600 --> 00:04:56.959
So you get the point, right?
00:04:57.120 --> 00:05:03.680
So with that, right, with those physicological changes, there are reactions that happen within the body.
00:05:03.839 --> 00:05:08.399
Just like when someone smiles, like you smile, you can't dance and be upset, right?
00:05:08.480 --> 00:05:13.120
Because it's like dancing is triggers a response that is happy.
00:05:13.360 --> 00:05:15.680
So the same thing is true when you're giving a high five.
00:05:15.759 --> 00:05:21.519
When you give someone a high five, what are you basically saying to themselves or to the person?
00:05:21.759 --> 00:05:25.199
You're saying, you know, you got it, good job, you got it, you got this.
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:27.199
Continue, keep going forward.
00:05:27.439 --> 00:05:30.879
So when you do a high five to yourself, that is the acknowledgement you're giving.
00:05:30.959 --> 00:05:39.040
And as a result of doing that, even if you feel like crap and this is, oh man, like I don't know if I got it, you give that high five and it triggers a different response.
00:05:39.600 --> 00:05:53.199
So I did this and I was noticed while I was doing this, you know, at first it kind of felt funny, but I I already had noticed a difference in um kind of like going through my heart and putting the intention how I want to show up and giving the high five.
00:05:53.439 --> 00:06:10.079
One of the things I had noticed was that when I was looking in the mirror, when I was looking at myself, I felt like I was looking at my younger self, like the child Donnie who was hurt from you know the uh the upsets, the disappointments, the failures in life.
00:06:10.319 --> 00:06:19.040
So when I looked in the mirror, it was about being kind and loving and compassionate to him and letting him know that I've got him.
00:06:19.519 --> 00:06:25.600
You know, and so when I think about how I wanted to show up, I wanted to show up in life playful, I wanted to show up a life confident.
00:06:25.839 --> 00:06:31.839
I wanted to show up in life in control, meaning like I was the one that was moving the levers to move my life forward.
00:06:32.079 --> 00:06:44.319
And when I put that intention and I was would go around my day, there'd be moments where I would kind of get sucked back into like I might hear a negative thought come in, but all of a sudden the higher part of me would come in.
00:06:44.399 --> 00:06:46.480
It would chime in and be like, hey, no, no, no.
00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:49.120
I'm gonna be confident for you, right?
00:06:49.279 --> 00:06:54.800
So it was it was like me standing in and up for me, which is kind of weird, right?
00:06:54.879 --> 00:06:59.279
Like, but all this stuff was going on in my head, so it was creating new neuroassociations.
00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:02.000
Um, my task for this morning.
00:07:02.160 --> 00:07:06.879
So, uh, if you guys had been following me, I had been speaking about my journey with Cold Roman.
00:07:06.959 --> 00:07:11.519
My intention for Cold Roman is to bring uh to bring the beverage in national.
00:07:11.920 --> 00:07:14.319
While you know, I'm far from it now.
00:07:14.480 --> 00:07:17.439
I am taking those steps to move forward.
00:07:17.680 --> 00:07:35.439
And one of the most recent um challenges or I guess challenges I had to take was I was talking with a formulator and uh you know shared my information, my my formulation, and we were good to move forward, and they wanted to move forward without a agreement, right?
00:07:35.519 --> 00:07:41.040
They're like, Oh, you're protected under the NDA, but my like I knew like I'm not I'm not protected under the NDA.
00:07:41.120 --> 00:07:44.480
There's no agreement that's protecting formulation or any improvements to it.
00:07:44.720 --> 00:07:46.319
Why the hell would I be affected?
00:07:46.560 --> 00:07:46.800
Right.
00:07:46.959 --> 00:07:58.480
And then so this company, they they said that, and then it did it took two uh emails and a follow-up video call for me to get a different agreement that somewhat protected me.
00:07:58.560 --> 00:08:12.000
There were still things left up for uh that could be uh potentially harm me in terms of any formulation they do on my behalf that pertains to their processing equipment and that would be theirs.
00:08:12.160 --> 00:08:14.000
So just a bunch of bullshit, right?
00:08:14.240 --> 00:08:33.519
And the fact that they had sent given me this after two emails and a requested video call rather than doing it right up front when they requested me to send them product samples and uh start working on formulation was a was a big flag for me, and that's just not how I'm gonna do business.
00:08:33.759 --> 00:08:42.799
So the the standing up for myself, you know, a lot of people they think courage is this big, big, you know, uh action you gotta take.
00:08:42.879 --> 00:08:43.759
Courage is not.
00:08:43.919 --> 00:08:52.320
Courage is a small thing, it's where you feel that fear, that little apprehension because you're nervous about something, but you continue to move forward regardless.
00:08:52.559 --> 00:08:59.519
So I just my my intention today was to one send them an email saying, listen, it's done.
00:08:59.759 --> 00:09:05.360
You you know, like you violated like I my trust, like I can't trust you because of X, Y, and Z.
00:09:05.840 --> 00:09:14.960
And we're gonna terminate this agreement here, and you're gonna just uh you're gonna destroy all of the notes and intake forms, and here's my lawyer.
00:09:15.519 --> 00:09:18.159
You know, so here you know you could respond to her.
00:09:18.399 --> 00:09:20.639
So that was the action that I wanted to take.
00:09:20.720 --> 00:09:22.639
And it like there was no comp compromise.
00:09:22.879 --> 00:09:24.639
Like my NDA was good, right?
00:09:24.720 --> 00:09:29.200
So, but thereafter, I knew I wasn't gonna go into business with these people because I couldn't trust them.
00:09:29.279 --> 00:09:31.519
They already violated my trust, right?
00:09:31.600 --> 00:09:38.799
But the the courageous action, what I want to highlight here was that I took that even though it felt uncomfortable, and I gave myself the high five.
00:09:38.879 --> 00:09:46.399
I mean, I was gonna do it anyways, but it felt better doing the high five, acknowledging myself for stepping into that fear and for moving forward.
00:09:46.720 --> 00:09:51.200
Now I'm at talks with someone different and the process continues.
00:09:51.360 --> 00:09:53.039
But the there's a difference here, right?
00:09:53.120 --> 00:09:58.240
Before my old language that I was giving myself was like, oh, it's never gonna, it's never gonna happen.
00:09:58.399 --> 00:09:59.519
It's never gonna happen.
00:09:59.759 --> 00:10:02.080
Like I just would just create keep saying that.
00:10:02.159 --> 00:10:06.480
And as a result, I felt stress because I'm like, it's never gonna happen, right?
00:10:06.720 --> 00:10:08.240
But now it's different.
00:10:08.480 --> 00:10:14.480
Now when I when I look at it, I realize that you know that I've already committed, right?
00:10:14.559 --> 00:10:16.559
I've already committed to my outcome.
00:10:16.799 --> 00:10:22.000
And I just have to keep taking the pro the steps and give myself some deadlines, some hard deadlines.
00:10:22.159 --> 00:10:24.240
This way I you can move forward faster.
00:10:24.399 --> 00:10:27.200
But I've already committed to it, so it doesn't matter, right?
00:10:27.440 --> 00:10:30.799
If it doesn't happen today, tomorrow, next week, it's freaking happening, man.
00:10:30.879 --> 00:10:33.200
It's it's I've already committed in my mind.
00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:36.720
And so I, you know, I've taken new steps to work with a different formulator.
00:10:36.799 --> 00:10:38.559
We'll see how that goes.
00:10:38.799 --> 00:10:57.919
Um, but what I want to uh touch upon here is the courageous action and how that's standing up for yourself because every time you step into courage, you are giving yourself like a good pat on the back, and you should be encouraging yourself and acknowledging that win for stepping into that discomfort.
00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:03.440
So this way, when other uh when other situations come in, you know how to respond, right?
00:11:03.600 --> 00:11:13.279
And you get the confidence for responding in such a way rather than um you know think like acting in a way that you should have, but not really acknowledging it.
00:11:13.440 --> 00:11:14.480
So there's a couple things.
00:11:14.639 --> 00:11:17.519
One is when you notice fear, you step into the fear, right?
00:11:17.600 --> 00:11:23.039
Stepping into the fear, even if you're nervous, doesn't you it's not like you're not supposed to be nervous.
00:11:23.759 --> 00:11:29.039
When fear is present and you're nervous about taking the action, taking the action regardless is growth.
00:11:29.279 --> 00:11:32.799
Taking that fear is growth, right?
00:11:33.039 --> 00:11:39.200
So when you say, I'm afraid this, like fear wants to pull you back, but growth is moving forward.
00:11:39.440 --> 00:11:42.320
The second thing is that you may not have all the answers.
00:11:42.480 --> 00:11:56.720
One of the um, and I've heard this before is that you know when you don't have an answer, it's not a it's not a uh a cue to stop, it is a cue to get help, to find the answers for the questions you have, right?
00:11:56.799 --> 00:12:00.480
You're stuck because uh, you know, like I'm not I'm roasting coffee.
00:12:00.559 --> 00:12:09.200
Well, I'm not really sure what this lengthening uh I'm speaking coffee terms with you, lengthening out this part of the coffee roasting phase.
00:12:09.279 --> 00:12:11.679
Like if I should do that or not, what should I do?
00:12:11.919 --> 00:12:31.039
Or, you know, like I'm my coffee roasting is when I was roasting, I wasn't sure how I should um uh adjust my flame on on one of my espresso roasts because uh when the heats up really quick, I'm not getting the development times, the the the certain I'm not hitting the stages I want in the time frame that I wanted.
00:12:31.200 --> 00:12:41.840
And here's the thing I know the freaking answer, like I know exactly what to do, but I needed a someone else to just kind of give me that little voice of encouragement and shed some light to things that maybe I didn't see.
00:12:42.159 --> 00:12:44.480
So I I I look for other professionals.
00:12:44.639 --> 00:12:48.879
They give me the, you know, they give me the advice, the confidence, and I move forward.
00:12:49.120 --> 00:13:00.399
So remember, anytime you're stuck, it's not a it's not a cue to stop, but rather to get answers, to seek out new answers so that you can continue moving forward and not staying in that stuck position.
00:13:00.720 --> 00:13:09.039
So all of this stuff that I'm saying is really just to basically what I'm saying is you take courageous action, yes, but acknowledge yourself.
00:13:09.200 --> 00:13:16.799
Look at that person in the mirror and let them know that you see them, that you're standing up for them, that you are with them.
00:13:18.080 --> 00:13:28.240
If you want, check out the high again, the the high five challenge in the growth day app, growth day, uh in if you go to the app store, hey growth day, it'll pop up and enter that challenge.
00:13:28.399 --> 00:13:29.360
I highly recommend it.
00:13:29.440 --> 00:13:35.120
It's been uh really, really uh even transformational in like the three days that I've been doing it.
00:13:35.360 --> 00:13:55.120
But um again, just being able to see and step into your day with intention as to who you want to be, but giving yourself the you know, the the credit, the compassion and the encouragement to move forward because all of this like life can get tough sometimes, right?
00:13:55.279 --> 00:14:01.840
And even when it's shit, it's still important to really, really encourage yourself to keep moving forward because life's not shit forever, right?
00:14:02.159 --> 00:14:03.600
There's highs and lows.
00:14:03.759 --> 00:14:16.320
But the thing we want to do is we wanna we wanna stay and keep raising our levels so that like maybe you know the lows aren't as low, but they kind of dip a little bit higher, or life the the whole roller coaster moves up.
00:14:16.399 --> 00:14:19.919
So now the lows are they might be low, but it's a different level of low, right?
00:14:20.080 --> 00:14:23.360
You're you're low now, is where your highs were before.
00:14:23.600 --> 00:14:25.360
So that is all I've got for you guys.
00:14:25.519 --> 00:14:28.399
And I hope you enjoyed um this episode here.
00:14:28.480 --> 00:14:38.320
I hope that uh again, my intention for you was one, just to give yourself some compassion and love, to look in the mirror and to stand with the person you see on the other side, right?
00:14:38.399 --> 00:14:44.320
Is usually like that that that fearful, hurt child part of you.
00:14:44.639 --> 00:14:48.639
Acknowledge that, stand with them, give them love, give them a high five.
00:14:48.879 --> 00:14:55.759
And then also to notice when courage it peeps its head out in your day, when those fears peep their head out, right?
00:14:55.840 --> 00:15:00.399
Because sometimes you it's this discomfort, this nervousness in your body.
00:15:00.720 --> 00:15:12.000
When that happens, it's not you don't shrink from it, acknowledge it, and then you move forward anyways, realizing that it is an opportunity for you to grow and it is the path you were supposed to take forward.
00:15:12.159 --> 00:15:13.919

00:15:40.080 --> 00:15:41.200
Hope you enjoyed this episode.
00:15:41.279 --> 00:15:47.279
And remember, you only get one life live fully, live passionately, and most of all, live now.
00:15:47.440 --> 00:15:50.399
God bless you guys, and I will see you again soon.
00:00:01.439 --> 00:00:08.480
Most people spend their entire life stress without ever giving a single thought as to what it is they really want and what's important to them.
00:00:09.279 --> 00:00:14.640
See how we heard a couple of the noise connecting you to yourself and the life that you were meant to live.
00:00:15.119 --> 00:00:17.679
I used to live away the copper job and I hate it.
00:00:18.239 --> 00:00:20.800
I broke through the social life.
00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:24.079
As a result, I am my own coffee company.
00:00:24.239 --> 00:00:25.359
I'm a custom company.
00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:27.359
And I get this crap a little bit.
00:00:28.399 --> 00:00:30.719
You too can live a life that you live.
00:00:31.039 --> 00:00:32.320
But it starts within literally.
00:00:33.759 --> 00:00:37.679
It starts within the host company Rouse.
00:00:40.399 --> 00:00:41.359
One life.
00:00:58.880 --> 00:01:04.159
One of the most important things that we can do in our life is to show up for ourselves.
00:01:04.560 --> 00:01:11.599
But to in order to know how do we show up for ourselves, we have to understand kind of what gets in the way of showing up for ourselves.
00:01:12.239 --> 00:01:14.319
And this is all to piggyback on.
00:01:14.400 --> 00:01:18.640
I'm in the middle of a challenge, a Mel Robbins challenge called High Five.
00:01:19.040 --> 00:01:24.719
And to give you just kind of like a brief synopsis without going into the actual well, I haven't read the book.
00:01:24.799 --> 00:01:26.480
It's just a challenge right now.
00:01:26.640 --> 00:01:34.319
Um, it's about acknowledging yourself, giving yourself a high five in those tough moments to say, you know what?
00:01:34.560 --> 00:01:35.280
I see you.
00:01:35.359 --> 00:01:43.920
I'm giving you presence, I'm giving you the uh acknowledgement that you're going through something hard and that you can get through this.
00:01:44.640 --> 00:01:48.159
So what I was saying was, what gets in the way of doing that?
00:01:49.120 --> 00:01:57.840
And a lot of it is the patterns that we get stuck to this this old self that is afraid of what can possibly go wrong.
00:01:58.959 --> 00:02:09.039
But when you show up for yourself, similarly to when someone that you you uh admire and put confidence in when they show up for you, how do you feel?
00:02:10.240 --> 00:02:12.400
It gives you the will to move forward.
00:02:12.479 --> 00:02:14.479
So instead of someone else doing it.
00:02:15.039 --> 00:02:27.280
The goal of this uh episode here is for you to start doing yourself, also, but to uh to check out the book, High Five, or at least engage in the challenge that you can uh you could subscribe to on the Growth Day app.
00:02:27.360 --> 00:02:29.680
Uh just go to the app store and hit growth day.
00:02:29.840 --> 00:02:35.039
So let me go into my experience with this, um, how it applied to my life.
00:02:35.120 --> 00:02:40.639
So this way you can see maybe if it's something that you want to incorporate into your own life.
00:02:40.960 --> 00:02:57.680
So, with regard to uh just showing up for myself, one of the hardest things in this in this challenge is say, like looking in the mirror, like when you look in the mirror, what are the emotions that you that you see, or what do you say to yourself when you're looking in the mirror?
00:02:58.400 --> 00:03:02.879
Like most people probably look in the mirror and they start to rip themselves apart.
00:03:03.520 --> 00:03:05.199
I was no exception of that.
00:03:05.280 --> 00:03:10.319
I would look at like, you know, my hairline and like wrinkles in my face, and like, man, you look tired.
00:03:10.479 --> 00:03:14.000
Man, what is my right side receding more than my left?
00:03:14.159 --> 00:03:14.879
What's going on?
00:03:15.039 --> 00:03:25.680
And I would I would start to beat myself down to the point where it was difficult to look into the mirror and almost like I was looking with disgust and disappointment.
00:03:26.960 --> 00:03:42.479
So then I when I started doing this challenge, when I started doing the high five, it would it reminded me of an experience I had when I was looking in the mirror, and every single day I had to pick something out about myself that I love and admired.
00:03:43.199 --> 00:03:54.159
All of a sudden, when you look in the mirror, instead of looking at the faults, right, and and things that are wrong and what you've done wrong in the past, you're looking for things to be grateful about and appreciative about yourself.
00:03:54.960 --> 00:04:06.240
So with this high five, it was giving yourself the high five in the mirror and stating, giving the intention of how you want to show up in your day, because this is being done at the beginning of the day.
00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:16.240
And as a result of doing that and giving yourself the high five, and this is where the science behind like the whole high five uh gets really interesting.
00:04:16.560 --> 00:04:24.079
Because while you may have these feelings of like, uh, you know, like, man, I feel I failed in the past, and what this is wrong, that's wrong.
00:04:24.240 --> 00:04:27.439
The moment you give that high five, you trigger something else.
00:04:27.680 --> 00:04:34.720
And it's to say that every single movement in our body, every physiology has with it a corresponding emotion.
00:04:34.959 --> 00:04:41.439
When you think of someone who's sad and depressed, this shoulders slip in, head goes down, they start to stalk, talk quietly.
00:04:42.959 --> 00:04:45.120
And you know how it goes, right?
00:04:45.199 --> 00:04:50.000
But think of someone who is excited, someone who is passionate about life, how do they conduct themselves, right?
00:04:50.160 --> 00:04:55.199
Shoulders back, they speed with, they speak with a faster cadence, they're excited.
00:04:55.600 --> 00:04:56.959
So you get the point, right?
00:04:57.120 --> 00:05:03.680
So with that, right, with those physicological changes, there are reactions that happen within the body.
00:05:03.839 --> 00:05:08.399
Just like when someone smiles, like you smile, you can't dance and be upset, right?
00:05:08.480 --> 00:05:13.120
Because it's like dancing is triggers a response that is happy.
00:05:13.360 --> 00:05:15.680
So the same thing is true when you're giving a high five.
00:05:15.759 --> 00:05:21.519
When you give someone a high five, what are you basically saying to themselves or to the person?
00:05:21.759 --> 00:05:25.199
You're saying, you know, you got it, good job, you got it, you got this.
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:27.199
Continue, keep going forward.
00:05:27.439 --> 00:05:30.879
So when you do a high five to yourself, that is the acknowledgement you're giving.
00:05:30.959 --> 00:05:39.040
And as a result of doing that, even if you feel like crap and this is, oh man, like I don't know if I got it, you give that high five and it triggers a different response.
00:05:39.600 --> 00:05:53.199
So I did this and I was noticed while I was doing this, you know, at first it kind of felt funny, but I I already had noticed a difference in um kind of like going through my heart and putting the intention how I want to show up and giving the high five.
00:05:53.439 --> 00:06:10.079
One of the things I had noticed was that when I was looking in the mirror, when I was looking at myself, I felt like I was looking at my younger self, like the child Donnie who was hurt from you know the uh the upsets, the disappointments, the failures in life.
00:06:10.319 --> 00:06:19.040
So when I looked in the mirror, it was about being kind and loving and compassionate to him and letting him know that I've got him.
00:06:19.519 --> 00:06:25.600
You know, and so when I think about how I wanted to show up, I wanted to show up in life playful, I wanted to show up a life confident.
00:06:25.839 --> 00:06:31.839
I wanted to show up in life in control, meaning like I was the one that was moving the levers to move my life forward.
00:06:32.079 --> 00:06:44.319
And when I put that intention and I was would go around my day, there'd be moments where I would kind of get sucked back into like I might hear a negative thought come in, but all of a sudden the higher part of me would come in.
00:06:44.399 --> 00:06:46.480
It would chime in and be like, hey, no, no, no.
00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:49.120
I'm gonna be confident for you, right?
00:06:49.279 --> 00:06:54.800
So it was it was like me standing in and up for me, which is kind of weird, right?
00:06:54.879 --> 00:06:59.279
Like, but all this stuff was going on in my head, so it was creating new neuroassociations.
00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:02.000
Um, my task for this morning.
00:07:02.160 --> 00:07:06.879
So, uh, if you guys had been following me, I had been speaking about my journey with Cold Roman.
00:07:06.959 --> 00:07:11.519
My intention for Cold Roman is to bring uh to bring the beverage in national.
00:07:11.920 --> 00:07:14.319
While you know, I'm far from it now.
00:07:14.480 --> 00:07:17.439
I am taking those steps to move forward.
00:07:17.680 --> 00:07:35.439
And one of the most recent um challenges or I guess challenges I had to take was I was talking with a formulator and uh you know shared my information, my my formulation, and we were good to move forward, and they wanted to move forward without a agreement, right?
00:07:35.519 --> 00:07:41.040
They're like, Oh, you're protected under the NDA, but my like I knew like I'm not I'm not protected under the NDA.
00:07:41.120 --> 00:07:44.480
There's no agreement that's protecting formulation or any improvements to it.
00:07:44.720 --> 00:07:46.319
Why the hell would I be affected?
00:07:46.560 --> 00:07:46.800
Right.
00:07:46.959 --> 00:07:58.480
And then so this company, they they said that, and then it did it took two uh emails and a follow-up video call for me to get a different agreement that somewhat protected me.
00:07:58.560 --> 00:08:12.000
There were still things left up for uh that could be uh potentially harm me in terms of any formulation they do on my behalf that pertains to their processing equipment and that would be theirs.
00:08:12.160 --> 00:08:14.000
So just a bunch of bullshit, right?
00:08:14.240 --> 00:08:33.519
And the fact that they had sent given me this after two emails and a requested video call rather than doing it right up front when they requested me to send them product samples and uh start working on formulation was a was a big flag for me, and that's just not how I'm gonna do business.
00:08:33.759 --> 00:08:42.799
So the the standing up for myself, you know, a lot of people they think courage is this big, big, you know, uh action you gotta take.
00:08:42.879 --> 00:08:43.759
Courage is not.
00:08:43.919 --> 00:08:52.320
Courage is a small thing, it's where you feel that fear, that little apprehension because you're nervous about something, but you continue to move forward regardless.
00:08:52.559 --> 00:08:59.519
So I just my my intention today was to one send them an email saying, listen, it's done.
00:08:59.759 --> 00:09:05.360
You you know, like you violated like I my trust, like I can't trust you because of X, Y, and Z.
00:09:05.840 --> 00:09:14.960
And we're gonna terminate this agreement here, and you're gonna just uh you're gonna destroy all of the notes and intake forms, and here's my lawyer.
00:09:15.519 --> 00:09:18.159
You know, so here you know you could respond to her.
00:09:18.399 --> 00:09:20.639
So that was the action that I wanted to take.
00:09:20.720 --> 00:09:22.639
And it like there was no comp compromise.
00:09:22.879 --> 00:09:24.639
Like my NDA was good, right?
00:09:24.720 --> 00:09:29.200
So, but thereafter, I knew I wasn't gonna go into business with these people because I couldn't trust them.
00:09:29.279 --> 00:09:31.519
They already violated my trust, right?
00:09:31.600 --> 00:09:38.799
But the the courageous action, what I want to highlight here was that I took that even though it felt uncomfortable, and I gave myself the high five.
00:09:38.879 --> 00:09:46.399
I mean, I was gonna do it anyways, but it felt better doing the high five, acknowledging myself for stepping into that fear and for moving forward.
00:09:46.720 --> 00:09:51.200
Now I'm at talks with someone different and the process continues.
00:09:51.360 --> 00:09:53.039
But the there's a difference here, right?
00:09:53.120 --> 00:09:58.240
Before my old language that I was giving myself was like, oh, it's never gonna, it's never gonna happen.
00:09:58.399 --> 00:09:59.519
It's never gonna happen.
00:09:59.759 --> 00:10:02.080
Like I just would just create keep saying that.
00:10:02.159 --> 00:10:06.480
And as a result, I felt stress because I'm like, it's never gonna happen, right?
00:10:06.720 --> 00:10:08.240
But now it's different.
00:10:08.480 --> 00:10:14.480
Now when I when I look at it, I realize that you know that I've already committed, right?
00:10:14.559 --> 00:10:16.559
I've already committed to my outcome.
00:10:16.799 --> 00:10:22.000
And I just have to keep taking the pro the steps and give myself some deadlines, some hard deadlines.
00:10:22.159 --> 00:10:24.240
This way I you can move forward faster.
00:10:24.399 --> 00:10:27.200
But I've already committed to it, so it doesn't matter, right?
00:10:27.440 --> 00:10:30.799
If it doesn't happen today, tomorrow, next week, it's freaking happening, man.
00:10:30.879 --> 00:10:33.200
It's it's I've already committed in my mind.
00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:36.720
And so I, you know, I've taken new steps to work with a different formulator.
00:10:36.799 --> 00:10:38.559
We'll see how that goes.
00:10:38.799 --> 00:10:57.919
Um, but what I want to uh touch upon here is the courageous action and how that's standing up for yourself because every time you step into courage, you are giving yourself like a good pat on the back, and you should be encouraging yourself and acknowledging that win for stepping into that discomfort.
00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:03.440
So this way, when other uh when other situations come in, you know how to respond, right?
00:11:03.600 --> 00:11:13.279
And you get the confidence for responding in such a way rather than um you know think like acting in a way that you should have, but not really acknowledging it.
00:11:13.440 --> 00:11:14.480
So there's a couple things.
00:11:14.639 --> 00:11:17.519
One is when you notice fear, you step into the fear, right?
00:11:17.600 --> 00:11:23.039
Stepping into the fear, even if you're nervous, doesn't you it's not like you're not supposed to be nervous.
00:11:23.759 --> 00:11:29.039
When fear is present and you're nervous about taking the action, taking the action regardless is growth.
00:11:29.279 --> 00:11:32.799
Taking that fear is growth, right?
00:11:33.039 --> 00:11:39.200
So when you say, I'm afraid this, like fear wants to pull you back, but growth is moving forward.
00:11:39.440 --> 00:11:42.320
The second thing is that you may not have all the answers.
00:11:42.480 --> 00:11:56.720
One of the um, and I've heard this before is that you know when you don't have an answer, it's not a it's not a uh a cue to stop, it is a cue to get help, to find the answers for the questions you have, right?
00:11:56.799 --> 00:12:00.480
You're stuck because uh, you know, like I'm not I'm roasting coffee.
00:12:00.559 --> 00:12:09.200
Well, I'm not really sure what this lengthening uh I'm speaking coffee terms with you, lengthening out this part of the coffee roasting phase.
00:12:09.279 --> 00:12:11.679
Like if I should do that or not, what should I do?
00:12:11.919 --> 00:12:31.039
00:12:31.200 --> 00:12:41.840
And here's the thing I know the freaking answer, like I know exactly what to do, but I needed a someone else to just kind of give me that little voice of encouragement and shed some light to things that maybe I didn't see.
00:12:42.159 --> 00:12:44.480
So I I I look for other professionals.
00:12:44.639 --> 00:12:48.879
They give me the, you know, they give me the advice, the confidence, and I move forward.
00:12:49.120 --> 00:13:00.399
So remember, anytime you're stuck, it's not a it's not a cue to stop, but rather to get answers, to seek out new answers so that you can continue moving forward and not staying in that stuck position.
00:13:00.720 --> 00:13:09.039
So all of this stuff that I'm saying is really just to basically what I'm saying is you take courageous action, yes, but acknowledge yourself.
00:13:09.200 --> 00:13:16.799
Look at that person in the mirror and let them know that you see them, that you're standing up for them, that you are with them.
00:13:18.080 --> 00:13:28.240
If you want, check out the high again, the the high five challenge in the growth day app, growth day, uh in if you go to the app store, hey growth day, it'll pop up and enter that challenge.
00:13:28.399 --> 00:13:29.360
I highly recommend it.
00:13:29.440 --> 00:13:35.120
It's been uh really, really uh even transformational in like the three days that I've been doing it.
00:13:35.360 --> 00:13:55.120
But um again, just being able to see and step into your day with intention as to who you want to be, but giving yourself the you know, the the credit, the compassion and the encouragement to move forward because all of this like life can get tough sometimes, right?
00:13:55.279 --> 00:14:01.840
And even when it's shit, it's still important to really, really encourage yourself to keep moving forward because life's not shit forever, right?
00:14:02.159 --> 00:14:03.600
There's highs and lows.
00:14:03.759 --> 00:14:16.320
But the thing we want to do is we wanna we wanna stay and keep raising our levels so that like maybe you know the lows aren't as low, but they kind of dip a little bit higher, or life the the whole roller coaster moves up.
00:14:16.399 --> 00:14:19.919
So now the lows are they might be low, but it's a different level of low, right?
00:14:20.080 --> 00:14:23.360
You're you're low now, is where your highs were before.
00:14:23.600 --> 00:14:25.360
So that is all I've got for you guys.
00:14:25.519 --> 00:14:28.399
And I hope you enjoyed um this episode here.
00:14:28.480 --> 00:14:38.320
I hope that uh again, my intention for you was one, just to give yourself some compassion and love, to look in the mirror and to stand with the person you see on the other side, right?
00:14:38.399 --> 00:14:44.320
Is usually like that that that fearful, hurt child part of you.
00:14:44.639 --> 00:14:48.639
Acknowledge that, stand with them, give them love, give them a high five.
00:14:48.879 --> 00:14:55.759
And then also to notice when courage it peeps its head out in your day, when those fears peep their head out, right?
00:14:55.840 --> 00:15:00.399
Because sometimes you it's this discomfort, this nervousness in your body.
00:15:00.720 --> 00:15:12.000
When that happens, it's not you don't shrink from it, acknowledge it, and then you move forward anyways, realizing that it is an opportunity for you to grow and it is the path you were supposed to take forward.
00:15:12.159 --> 00:15:13.919
