ABOUT THIS EPISODE
What if the most powerful thing you bring into a coaching session isn't another question, another technique, or another powerful framework?
What if it's your presence?
In this episode of The Shiny Minds Show, I take you deeper into one of the most important foundations of transformational coaching: creating safety before creating change.
Your client needs to feel seen, heard, acknowledged, and appreciated before they can truly open themselves to deeper exploration. This is why I say:
Your client's amygdala needs to be wrapped in a warm hug. ❤️
Before you coach someone toward their highest self, you need to meet them where they are.
In this episode, we explore the importance of acknowledgment, trust, safety, unconditional love, gratitude, curiosity, and non-judgment in the coaching relationship.
I also talk about something every coach needs to understand:
Repetition is the queen of every skill.
You don't become an exceptional coach because you learned something once. You become exceptional through repetition, observation, practice, teaching, and integration.
And then we go even deeper into what I call the Shiny Mind Principle:
Be careful what you are interacting with.
The people around you.
The information you consume.
The energy you sit in.
The food you take into your body.
The conversations you repeatedly participate in.
Everything you interact with leaves a mark.
You are constantly being shaped by what you observe, consume, and engage with.
And as coaches, this becomes even more important because when we enter a coaching relationship, our presence becomes part of the environment our client experiences.
So the question isn't simply:
"What am I going to say to my client?"
The deeper question is:
"Who am I being while I am with my client?"
This is where coaching becomes more than a collection of techniques.
It becomes a practice of consciousness.
✨ If you're a coach, aspiring coach, leader, or simply someone committed to becoming more aware of the way you show up in relationships, this episode is for you.
Listen, reflect, practice, and notice what changes when you begin leading with presence.
Keep shining your light. ✨
