ABOUT THIS EPISODE
If you’re a working mom who’s ever thought “Who am I to be doing this?” while juggling kids, clients, and a never-ending to-do list, this episode is for you. Whether you’re building a business, navigating a career shift, or trying to take up space in rooms that weren’t designed with moms in mind, you are not alone and you are not behind. In this episode of the Working Moms of San Antonio Podcast, we sit down with Dr. Brandi Scott, career coach and consultant, for an honest and deeply relatable conversation about imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and learning how to advocate for yourself even when it feels uncomfortable.
Brandi shares her journey from being a first-generation college student to earning her PhD, and why imposter syndrome doesn’t disappear with degrees, titles, or experience. Instead, it shows up anytime we try something new. Together, we unpack why women especially struggle to talk about their accomplishments, negotiate pay, apply for opportunities, and confidently say “this is what I bring to the table.” We talk about how imposter syndrome affects working moms, mompreneurs, and women in leadership, and why learning to let that doubt sit quietly in the background instead of running the show can be life-changing.
This conversation is full of real talk, practical reframes, and moments that will make you feel seen, validated, and encouraged to keep going anyway.
