ABOUT THIS EPISODE
You feel closer to God than you've ever been. Your faith is sturdy. And your body is falling apart anyway.
What's wrong with you?
Nothing. Your body keeps the score.
Dr. Tabatha and Ashlee sit down with Lindsey Welch - wife of entrepreneur and podcast host Taylor Welch, mother, business owner, woman of deep faith - for a conversation about immovable faith. Not faith that never feels fear. Faith that gets tested and keeps choosing God anyway.
Lindsey held her family together while her husband's business faced public scrutiny and an FTC investigation. She prayed. She worked. She stayed calm on the outside.
Then a biofeedback test came back with nine autoimmune markers. Her estrogen and progesterone - the hormones that regulate mood, energy, and her cycle - were gone. Her serotonin, the brain chemical that stabilizes mood, was burned through completely.
In the middle of it, she heard God speak. Clearly. "Remember when you built this house? I had you write scripture on the walls. If you keep going, your daughter is watching, and she is going to fall the way you learned it in your family line. You need to break this cycle."
She broke it. It took eight months.
This episode is for the woman in the car who can't make herself go inside yet. For the one holding her family together and wondering who's holding her. For anyone who has believed God is good and still felt afraid.
Closing scripture: 1 John 4:18 - "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear."
Your healing story is someone else's roadmap.
And if you are still in the middle of your own - you need this too.
If you have ever wondered what it would look like to turn your transformation into your calling

00:02:06.509 --> 00:02:14.430
What's confusing for most people, I would say, is you feel like I've never been closer to the Lord than I am right now.
00:02:14.590 --> 00:02:21.710
I've never felt more strong and like sturdy in my beliefs, but my body isn't matching that?
00:02:21.870 --> 00:02:23.550
Like, what's wrong with me?
00:02:28.430 --> 00:02:34.509
Can you have incredible faith in God and still have your nervous system completely fall apart?
00:02:34.909 --> 00:02:40.110
What about can you believe God is good and still feel afraid?
00:02:40.430 --> 00:02:50.189
Can you stand beside your husband, support your family, pray, worship, and trust God while your body is saying, I can't carry this anymore?
00:02:50.590 --> 00:03:02.030
Who I think sometimes Christians assume that if our faith were stronger, we would never experience anxiety, fear, overwhelm, or emotional collapse.
00:03:02.349 --> 00:03:04.430
But our body keeps the score.
00:03:04.590 --> 00:03:13.229
And sometimes the body reveals just how much we've been carrying long before we are willing to admit it to ourselves.
00:03:13.469 --> 00:03:19.469
So today we are talking about what I would call immovable faith.
00:03:19.870 --> 00:03:32.909
Not faith that never feels fear, not faith that never gets tired, not faith that loves or lives an easy life, but faith that has been tested and kept choosing God.
00:03:33.629 --> 00:03:36.349
So what do you think about that today, Ashley?
00:03:36.509 --> 00:03:37.389
You want to get into that?
00:03:37.629 --> 00:03:39.709
Yeah, this is gonna be such a good episode.
00:03:39.870 --> 00:03:41.149
I'm really excited about it.
00:03:41.229 --> 00:03:45.709
And just a few weeks ago, I said to you, I'm like, we've got to talk about marriage.
00:03:45.870 --> 00:03:47.629
I think it's really it's been on the heart.
00:03:47.709 --> 00:03:52.670
I've had people reaching out to me saying they need prayer of their marriage, and you're like, well, that's my plan.
00:03:52.750 --> 00:03:54.670
And so with our guest Lindsay today.
00:03:54.750 --> 00:04:02.909
So I'm so excited for you to introduce her and for our audience to get to know how we learned about Lindsay and how we now get to call her a dear friend.
00:04:03.149 --> 00:04:04.750
Yeah, I'm really excited.
00:04:04.829 --> 00:04:13.789
And this episode is something I actually need right in this moment in my life, even though this is airing in the fall.
00:04:14.030 --> 00:04:22.189
Right now, it is the beginning of college school year, and I'm literally moving my 17-year-old into an apartment.
00:04:22.350 --> 00:04:28.430
That's insane to me, except for the fact that I took a baby home at 17 and they were like, good luck.
00:04:29.149 --> 00:04:35.469
Um, so I know he's gonna be okay, but I did not sleep last night, his first night living in that apartment.
00:04:35.709 --> 00:04:38.189
Like I woke up in a cold sweat at 1 a.m.
00:04:38.350 --> 00:04:41.230
and my nervous system is ramped up.
00:04:41.550 --> 00:04:44.670
So I need some wisdom from our guest today.
00:04:45.310 --> 00:04:50.509
I she just has a piece about her that I was just drawn to.
00:04:50.670 --> 00:04:55.629
As soon as I heard her on her husband's podcast, I was like, oh, I need to know this woman.
00:04:55.870 --> 00:04:56.750
She's amazing.
00:04:56.990 --> 00:05:00.430
She does have it, it's like a really cool calm sense of peace.
00:05:00.509 --> 00:05:04.589
And I remember you and I talking about that episode with her and then meeting her in real life.
00:05:04.750 --> 00:05:08.990
It like it's so cool when you get to meet someone and they are the same person that they are online.
00:05:09.310 --> 00:05:10.509
So yeah, absolutely.
00:05:11.310 --> 00:05:11.949
All right, let's get into it.
00:05:12.029 --> 00:05:12.269
Let's go.
00:05:12.509 --> 00:05:13.149
Oh my goodness.
00:05:13.310 --> 00:05:16.509
Okay, we are talking to Lindsay Welch.
00:05:16.909 --> 00:05:28.350
She is a wife, mother, business owner, and woman of faith with a deep commitment to building a life rooted in God, family, and intentional living.
00:05:28.589 --> 00:05:38.350
She's passionate about prayer, worship, emotional, and spiritual growth, and raising her children with strong faith, curiosity, and character.
00:05:38.589 --> 00:05:41.550
She's married to one of my mentors.
00:05:41.709 --> 00:05:49.230
He is a crazy entrepreneur, I'm just gonna call it out, and host of the Deep End podcast.
00:05:49.550 --> 00:05:58.990
He has connected so many dots for me spiritually and just um how the body, mind, and soul is all connected.
00:05:59.069 --> 00:06:01.230
And so I'm eternally grateful.
00:06:01.550 --> 00:06:10.029
But there is always a strong woman behind a successful man, and so that's who we're talking today.
00:06:10.269 --> 00:06:12.829
So, welcome, Lindsay, to the podcast.
00:06:12.909 --> 00:06:14.430
I'm so excited.
00:06:14.909 --> 00:06:16.990
Hey guys, so good to be here.
00:06:17.310 --> 00:06:20.269
Oh my gosh, this is gonna be a fire conversation.
00:06:20.430 --> 00:06:24.589
Somebody's gonna leave this episode changed, right?
00:06:24.750 --> 00:06:25.229
Oh my gosh.
00:06:25.469 --> 00:06:25.949
I hope so.
00:06:26.189 --> 00:06:27.389
Yeah, they are.
00:06:27.870 --> 00:06:29.310
They absolutely are.
00:06:29.469 --> 00:06:29.789
Okay.
00:06:30.509 --> 00:06:45.469
So when I first started thinking about talking to you, I was like, oh my gosh, Lindsay is just one of those good humans who has never sinned and has never gotten it wrong.
00:06:45.629 --> 00:06:55.229
Like from the outside looking in, you just have created this beautiful life, and your faith looks so unshakable, and everything looks put together.
00:06:55.310 --> 00:07:00.189
And so I come from a background that is the total opposite.
00:07:00.349 --> 00:07:07.709
I call myself a messy Christian, like I don't even know what I'm doing, and God is cleaning up my messes half the time.
00:07:07.949 --> 00:07:16.509
So I had this assumption that faith would be easy for you because that's just how you were raised, and that's all that you know.
00:07:16.909 --> 00:07:20.750
But what I realize is I don't think it's easier.
00:07:20.909 --> 00:07:28.589
I just think that you uh you put it into place sooner in your life, maybe than I did.
00:07:28.829 --> 00:07:29.389
I don't know.
00:07:29.469 --> 00:07:33.549
I would love for you to just speak into how you were raised.
00:07:33.789 --> 00:07:36.349
Did you waver or waffle?
00:07:36.589 --> 00:07:41.389
Have you always had such a strong relationship with Jesus?
00:07:41.629 --> 00:07:45.389
Or are you just as messy as I am and you're good at covering it up?
00:07:45.549 --> 00:07:46.589
I don't even know.
00:07:47.149 --> 00:07:49.549
Honestly, I think we're all on a journey.
00:07:49.789 --> 00:07:54.029
I wouldn't say at all that I have it together any given day.
00:07:54.189 --> 00:07:58.029
Like this morning, I feel like I was a lady with my hair on fire.
00:07:58.269 --> 00:08:09.310
Um I feel like with two little kids and um both of us being entrepreneurs and just daily life, it it is just a journey every day.
00:08:09.549 --> 00:08:12.430
But um, I did grow up in a Christian home.
00:08:12.589 --> 00:08:18.829
I had um my parents were the first to know Jesus and their families.
00:08:19.149 --> 00:08:26.750
And so we grew up in church, and I feel like how I would liken it is I I think that that's such a gift.
00:08:26.909 --> 00:08:29.149
I learned about Jesus from a young age.
00:08:29.389 --> 00:08:45.389
I knew him, I think at five, I prayed beside my couch with my mom and was like evangelizing at my dad's work to all the it was like John 3.16 was the only verse I knew, and I would go up to anyone who would listen and just quote it to them, you know.
00:08:45.629 --> 00:08:49.789
Um, I've always been someone who has big faith.
00:08:49.870 --> 00:08:52.509
I think it's a gift that I have from the Lord.
00:08:52.590 --> 00:09:00.269
Um, when he talks about different gifts that you can have, I've always resonated that I think that's just a gift that he's given me.
00:09:00.590 --> 00:09:05.310
But um, as you get those gifts, I think you think, oh, this is easy.
00:09:05.389 --> 00:09:07.789
Like I prayed and this happened, you know?
00:09:08.110 --> 00:09:13.310
And then as you get older, he tests it to strengthen and deepen that gift.
00:09:13.710 --> 00:09:31.470
And so um, I would say I grew up in high school knowing Jesus, had good friends, had a pretty typical life, um, had a little bit of a rebellious phase after high school, and the Lord just kept me on a short leash, honestly.
00:09:31.950 --> 00:09:36.029
And met Taylor a few years later, and we were just really good friends.
00:09:36.350 --> 00:09:44.509
Um, it wasn't until that relationship that the Lord really started to test me because Taylor moved for a job somewhere else.
00:09:44.830 --> 00:09:59.230
So um, yeah, I just kind of had to I don't know how to even go into it without telling all the details, but that was just the beginning, I think, of when he started to show me how to have faith and how to hear from him.
00:09:59.549 --> 00:10:09.710
Um but I think the part that I would say was I was trying to think of when that actually was tested and life got really messy.
00:10:09.870 --> 00:10:15.389
Um, and that was probably when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2019.
00:10:15.950 --> 00:10:19.710
Um, I had been working 60 to 80 hours a week.
00:10:19.950 --> 00:10:27.389
Uh, Taylor worked like a hundred hours a week when we got married at a church, and we didn't have children the first six years.
00:10:27.470 --> 00:10:38.909
We when I read your book, I was like, oh, we've we very much were similar in our endeavors to help other people so that they didn't struggle with the same things that we struggled with.
00:10:39.149 --> 00:10:44.990
And so I think a lot of that came from a good place, but then it became part of my identity.
00:10:45.230 --> 00:10:51.549
And so I was very resistant to have children because my mom put my dad through medical school.
00:10:51.710 --> 00:10:58.269
She was a hard worker, she had a salon like I do, and um, until I was 10, she had her own place.
00:10:58.350 --> 00:11:03.470
So we could go and sit with the clients and talk to them, and it was always really fun.
00:11:03.710 --> 00:11:14.750
But then when we moved to Iowa when I was 10, we moved like five times in seven years, and she worked full-time and just wasn't able to be around as much for us.
00:11:14.990 --> 00:11:21.549
Um, and so I think thinking about motherhood and working, I just was like, oh, I don't really want that.
00:11:21.710 --> 00:11:23.069
Like that feels like too much.
00:11:23.230 --> 00:11:25.230
My mom just seemed tired all the time.
00:11:25.389 --> 00:11:30.509
She just wanted to give us her best, but she just sometimes couldn't, you know.
00:11:30.990 --> 00:11:34.429
And um, when I was pregnant with Kate, the Lord gave me a vision.
00:11:34.509 --> 00:11:45.949
And it was probably the second or third time I've ever had this happen where he gave me a vision of what my bo what my birth would look like and how I could believe for it.
00:11:46.509 --> 00:11:50.829
Um, and then slowly he began to teach me how to do that.
00:11:50.990 --> 00:11:52.990
So I think that was the first time.
00:11:53.149 --> 00:11:55.949
Um, so I don't know if that answers your question.
00:11:56.350 --> 00:11:57.230
That's beautiful.
00:11:57.389 --> 00:11:59.470
Oh my gosh, I love that so much.
00:11:59.710 --> 00:12:07.230
And it's very interesting to hear quote unquote your side of the story, right?
00:12:07.309 --> 00:12:18.189
Like I have heard your life through Taylor's eyes so much, just listening to him for a couple of years and really getting to know like his story.
00:12:18.350 --> 00:12:25.069
And so it's really important to realize that our reality is a matter of perspective.
00:12:25.230 --> 00:12:33.470
And so here you are having a beautiful vision from God, and he's like, You're gonna be an amazing mom, and I'm gonna give you this experience.
00:12:33.629 --> 00:12:58.909
And meanwhile, your husband's over here doing things, and things are going sideways, and you found yourself in this season where you're carrying this, you know, public and private pressure of you and Taylor because his business is going through this regulatory scrutiny and the FTC is investigating him and all of this.
00:12:59.069 --> 00:13:11.870
And here you are just trying to be the woman holding it all together and not end up like your mother, which a lot of us are doing subconsciously, right?
00:13:12.110 --> 00:13:38.429
And so I would love to hear, you don't need to talk about the details and re-litigate all his story, but what was going on inside of you while you're watching your husband be attacked, scrutinized, and he admittedly is falling apart and like going from caterpillar into goo, you know, and you're just like, wait a second, what what about me?
00:13:39.230 --> 00:13:44.350
Yeah, well, so in a nutshell, that was years later.
00:13:44.509 --> 00:13:49.149
So my my pregnancy with Kate and the birth, everything was beautiful.
00:13:49.389 --> 00:13:56.110
I felt like tricked almost after because everything happened as I prayed, and I was like, that was amazing.
00:13:56.269 --> 00:14:10.509
And then postpartum hits, and I took a two-week maternity leave, and my baby was sometimes in the corner of my salon, and um I was on this trajectory, honestly, for a very dark place.
00:14:10.750 --> 00:14:23.149
Um, I got this vision in 2020 before all the stuff happened with the shutdown of just the Lord inviting me into rest, and I refused.
00:14:23.309 --> 00:14:27.389
It was like this clear invitation of him saying, You can do this if you want.
00:14:27.549 --> 00:14:29.309
And I was just too scared.
00:14:29.549 --> 00:14:31.470
Um, so she's seven now.
00:14:31.549 --> 00:14:37.230
That would have been three years or almost four before Taylor went through his season.
00:14:37.389 --> 00:14:56.509
So I like was like plowing through motherhood, working myself to the bone, while also simultaneously, that's like the messy Christian, I think, where I just he was speaking to me so clearly and I really was learning, but at the same time still living in such a chaotic state.
00:14:56.669 --> 00:15:05.710
I remember probably daily having this nightmare that my daughter, I was gonna fall down the stairs while I was holding her as an infant.
00:15:05.949 --> 00:15:09.710
And so I was really scared to hold her, to bring her down.
00:15:09.870 --> 00:15:17.389
And I remember one day uh after I laid her down for a nap, I fell down the stairs after I put her to bed.
00:15:17.789 --> 00:15:21.149
And I was just crying because I'm like, that could have been her.
00:15:21.230 --> 00:15:28.429
And the Lord spoke so clearly and said, Remember when you built this house, this was years before, and I had written scripture on the walls.
00:15:28.509 --> 00:15:34.029
And the scripture for the room that she ended up being in, I knew that she was gonna be a girl.
00:15:34.110 --> 00:15:37.710
Um, I knew I was gonna have a girl first before we had kids.
00:15:37.949 --> 00:15:41.149
And the verse was, Imitate me as I imitate Christ.
00:15:41.470 --> 00:15:44.829
And um, I never quite knew what that meant until this moment.
00:15:44.909 --> 00:16:01.230
And he was just like, if you keep going down this trajectory, your daughter is watching and she's going to fall, but it won't be in the physical, like you're not actually gonna fall down the stairs, but you're gonna take her down the stairs like you have learned in your generations.
00:16:01.389 --> 00:16:03.230
Like you need to break this cycle.
00:16:03.470 --> 00:16:07.309
And I was very confronted, like, okay, I can do this.
00:16:07.389 --> 00:16:10.669
And then shortly after was when the world shut down.
00:16:10.990 --> 00:16:19.949
Um, and I think over those years, the verse that I kept coming back to was 1 John 4.18, perfect love casts out fear.
00:16:20.110 --> 00:16:26.110
For if you're anticipating punishment through fear, then you don't know the perfect love of God.
00:16:26.590 --> 00:16:29.309
And I just was so confronted by this.
00:16:29.389 --> 00:16:33.149
Like I've grown up in church, I've been told this my whole life.
00:16:33.389 --> 00:16:36.269
Um, but I actually don't think I really believe that.
00:16:36.429 --> 00:16:44.110
I don't think I know that to be true because I feel like I have to perform, I feel like I have to be everything for everybody.
00:16:44.429 --> 00:16:54.189
And even though it was like now I know it, like here, um, once Taylor was in his season, I had been praying for years up leading up to that.
00:16:54.350 --> 00:16:57.069
Like, Lord, show me how to help him.
00:16:57.309 --> 00:17:08.350
Show me he he was very lost at that point, really um not involved like with the Lord at all, wasn't considering like what does the Lord think about this?
00:17:08.590 --> 00:17:14.990
So when all of that hit, um, God had already spoken to me that he was to walk away from those businesses.
00:17:15.470 --> 00:17:25.150
And as hard as that could have been, I don't know what that could have looked like if the Lord hadn't have helped us, but um, but Taylor felt like God told him that too.
00:17:25.230 --> 00:17:34.190
So when we came together, we were like, okay, we're not gonna try to have more kids because we would both be in our quarter life crisis together.
00:17:34.430 --> 00:17:36.430
So let's just hold off.
00:17:36.590 --> 00:17:41.710
And then the day that he signed the papers, I found out that I was already pregnant with our second.
00:17:42.910 --> 00:17:43.150
Wow.
00:17:43.309 --> 00:17:44.750
Oh my gosh, that's so good.
00:17:45.230 --> 00:17:51.870
So he was going through his stuff while I was pregnant, and it was really, really hard again.
00:17:52.110 --> 00:18:13.069
Um I just remember every day waking up, Taylor had severe anxiety during that season, and he'll share about that just at the end of his rope some mornings, and I would have to like really like muster up what I could to encourage him because I was like, one thing could go wrong, and he might this might be the thing that puts him over the cliff, you know?
00:18:13.549 --> 00:18:17.710
Um, and so that made me really dig deep.
00:18:17.870 --> 00:18:30.110
Like, I think I've never been uh if contending is the right word, like I've never contended for something in my life as much as I did in that season, and I gave it my all.
00:18:30.590 --> 00:18:36.269
And then about two years after that was when my body just kind of gave up on me.
00:18:36.590 --> 00:18:43.549
So um, yeah, I won't keep going if you have other questions, but that was really the moment that it kind of got real.
00:18:44.029 --> 00:19:14.349
Yeah, I think that it's a really important point to highlight because this is gonna set a woman free today, is you were in survival mode, even though you had this faith and it was growing every day, and you were just trusting God, you still physically were like taking on burdens and holding on to them without realizing it, and they were manifesting physically, and then we all reach our breaking point.
00:19:14.829 --> 00:19:21.869
We just attended an event that uh Taylor did last week, and he was telling your story.
00:19:22.029 --> 00:19:37.629
I would love for you to share about that moment where your your nervous system just had had enough and it shut down because to me that was God's protection of saying, like, okay, Lindsay, now we're done.
00:19:37.869 --> 00:19:44.190
And it's sad that sometimes we have to get to that point, but it's like this wake-up call, right?
00:19:44.829 --> 00:19:45.629
Totally.
00:19:46.029 --> 00:19:54.990
I think what's confusing for most people, I would say, is you feel like I've never been closer to the Lord than I am right now.
00:19:55.150 --> 00:20:02.349
I've never felt more strong and like sturdy in my beliefs, but my body isn't matching that.
00:20:02.509 --> 00:20:04.029
Like, what's wrong with me?
00:20:04.349 --> 00:20:13.309
Um, I kept just really struggling with like pushing through that energy level that was capped because I wanted to show up well for my kids.
00:20:13.549 --> 00:20:19.549
Because at this point, I'm like, oh wow, I literally am repeating what I didn't want to repeat.
00:20:19.789 --> 00:20:26.589
And I feel like I'm doing everything I know to do that's different, and it's not looking like that.
00:20:27.069 --> 00:20:38.029
And Taylor actually was the one he was gonna do this healthy challenge for like 60 days with a woman who can like reset your metabolism or whatever.
00:20:38.269 --> 00:20:42.990
So we were meeting with her, and I was his support person because he doesn't like vegetables.
00:20:43.069 --> 00:20:46.990
So I was gonna talk to her about how to help get him nourished.
00:20:47.230 --> 00:20:53.069
And basically, we both had to send in our toothbrush, and she does this biofeedback on it.
00:20:53.309 --> 00:20:59.389
And she reached out to him the next day and was like, Hey, this is really serious.
00:20:59.549 --> 00:21:03.470
Um, Lindsay's no longer your support person, she's very unwell.
00:21:03.629 --> 00:21:05.629
Like, you're now her support person.
00:21:06.269 --> 00:21:08.910
And um, he was like, What's wrong with her?
00:21:09.150 --> 00:21:13.869
And she was like, Well, I just need you to know that she's very unwell.
00:21:13.950 --> 00:21:18.910
So there's like about nine different things that are currently going on that are autoimmune.
00:21:19.069 --> 00:21:24.029
And if they're not addressed in the next year or two, it could look very different for her.
00:21:24.190 --> 00:21:36.990
Um, I had been in the hospital several times the year before, not several, two, but um one, I was completely unconscious, and they said my body was just shutting down and they didn't know why.
00:21:37.230 --> 00:21:45.950
Um, I had been in like a hematology office years before that because I had high histamines, but it looked like markers of leukemia.
00:21:46.190 --> 00:21:55.150
And after six months, they couldn't deduce anything from my lab, so they just released me, told me to take a Zertec and go on a Mediterranean diet.
00:21:55.389 --> 00:21:55.950
Oh my goodness.
00:21:56.269 --> 00:21:59.950
And that was just the story of my of my medical experience.
00:22:00.109 --> 00:22:04.509
It was like doctor after doctor after doctor, and nobody could give me answers.
00:22:04.750 --> 00:22:11.869
And so at this point, I was kind of like, I don't know if if this lady really can help me because nobody else has been.
00:22:12.190 --> 00:22:21.710
But when she started reading, I still get emotional about that phone call because she said, Do you ever have the feeling that it what's the point?
00:22:21.869 --> 00:22:24.269
It just doesn't even matter anymore.
00:22:24.670 --> 00:22:30.829
And I said, I thought that was normal as a mom or or a wife to feel that way.
00:22:31.869 --> 00:22:37.629
And she said, It might be normal, but it's not correct, and I can help you.
00:22:38.349 --> 00:22:42.269
Um pretty much all my hormones were completely gone.
00:22:42.750 --> 00:22:53.710
Um, I was like hypoglycemic, and um, then my body turned to my hormones to get energy, and so it burned all the way through my serotonin.
00:22:53.869 --> 00:22:54.589
I had none.
00:22:54.750 --> 00:22:57.150
Um, very low progesterone, all the things.
00:22:57.230 --> 00:22:59.789
So my periods were awful.
00:22:59.950 --> 00:23:13.470
Um, I had no energy, and I had two autoimmune living in my intestines from like old viruses that were still dormant, and then I guess COVID reactivated the really not good one.
00:23:13.869 --> 00:23:22.670
So um, yeah, it was like a journey of uh it turned from like me supporting Taylor to a fight for my life in that sense.
00:23:22.750 --> 00:23:29.549
Like I have to change everything to fight for myself, and um it was difficult.
00:23:29.710 --> 00:23:35.629
It was about an eight-month journey of completely changing my entire way of life.
00:23:35.869 --> 00:23:44.430
And um, I remember three weeks in when I walked up the stairs, I raced my kids up the stairs to do bathtime.
00:23:44.589 --> 00:23:47.069
And on Mondays, Taylor takes meetings all day.
00:23:47.150 --> 00:23:58.349
So that was his day where he would always bring home takeout because I just had no energy by the end of the day with the kids to um, you know, after bedtime and everything.
00:23:58.589 --> 00:24:06.029
So um, I remember going up the stairs and I made it to the very top, and I still had energy, and I felt excited.
00:24:06.430 --> 00:24:08.829
Excitement to put my kids to bed that night.
00:24:08.990 --> 00:24:16.589
And I just wept in the stairway because I was like, I haven't felt this the entire time I've been a mother for six years.
00:24:16.990 --> 00:24:19.309
Um, and it just kept getting better.
00:24:19.549 --> 00:24:23.309
So um, my body's had to release a lot.
00:24:23.470 --> 00:24:33.710
I've been in a lot of like trauma care and therapy since then, um, ways to help my body release that through movement.
00:24:34.029 --> 00:24:35.470
So it's been a journey.
00:24:35.549 --> 00:24:43.150
I feel like people think there's just a one-pill fix or one cleanse away from freedom, and it's it's sanctification.
00:24:43.230 --> 00:24:47.069
We're always working it out, and I'm not there yet.
00:24:47.230 --> 00:24:50.589
I'm still very much working it out.
00:24:50.750 --> 00:24:55.389
Um, but the Lord shows you every step and you get there quicker every time.
00:24:55.470 --> 00:24:56.029
You know what I mean?
00:24:56.269 --> 00:24:56.910
Oh my gosh.
00:24:56.990 --> 00:25:13.950
I appreciate your vulnerability and your honesty so much because even though you looked like you had the perfect life and you were just like the perfect Christian, I felt something deeper inside of you.
00:25:14.109 --> 00:25:16.829
I was like, this girl's been through something.
00:25:17.230 --> 00:25:20.990
And I this is honestly what we hear every day.
00:25:21.150 --> 00:25:30.990
Women come to us, they're like, I just, you know, held it all together for so long and then I broke and I don't know how to fix myself, right?
00:25:31.150 --> 00:25:42.750
And so I just want women to hear that just because God loves you and you love God doesn't mean you're not gonna struggle and go through some things.
00:25:42.910 --> 00:25:49.389
We live in a broken world and we are going to experience some things, right?
00:25:50.509 --> 00:25:55.629
Real quick, I just want to interrupt this conversation for something super important.
00:25:56.670 --> 00:26:06.910
Even though we need to take care of ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically, we do have to take care of ourselves at a cellular level.
00:26:07.069 --> 00:26:10.430
And that is why I have my Fast to Face supplement line.
00:26:10.509 --> 00:26:18.589
So let's just take a minute to hear about something that might be the game changer that you need in this season.
00:26:18.990 --> 00:26:21.710
I absolutely love this product.
00:26:21.869 --> 00:26:24.349
I love all-in-one microbiome lift.
00:26:24.829 --> 00:26:27.470
Oh, this one is just so fun.
00:26:28.109 --> 00:26:30.910
Fiber is absolutely critical.
00:26:31.150 --> 00:26:32.430
It is, it is so critical.
00:26:32.589 --> 00:26:37.710
We're talking, I mean, 30 to 50 grams a day is a typical recommendation for women.
00:26:38.029 --> 00:26:40.269
Good luck getting that in your food.
00:26:40.430 --> 00:26:42.430
It is so hard to do.
00:26:42.589 --> 00:26:48.269
And it is, it is just absolutely critical for just bowel movements to prevent colon cancer, so many different things.
00:26:48.509 --> 00:26:51.309
Even to regulate blood sugar, it's just critical.
00:26:51.549 --> 00:26:53.789
And estrogen detoxification, right?
00:26:54.349 --> 00:26:54.589
Yes.
00:26:54.829 --> 00:26:56.269
Hello, we need all of that.
00:26:56.509 --> 00:26:57.230
Absolutely.
00:26:57.470 --> 00:27:03.470
So um the all-in-one microbiome lift, it is a fiber, but it is so much more than that.
00:27:03.629 --> 00:27:06.910
There's 11 different prebiotics in there.
00:27:07.069 --> 00:27:08.750
So that's a really good number.
00:27:08.829 --> 00:27:11.549
Remember, we talked about the diversity of the microbiome.
00:27:11.629 --> 00:27:13.150
There's so much going on there.
00:27:13.309 --> 00:27:20.750
And so this is gonna be helpful for you if you feel you do struggle with constipation or diarrhea, either either one.
00:27:21.069 --> 00:27:29.470
If you are scared of fiber, which I'm sure some of you listening are scared of fiber because you've tried it and you got worse.
00:27:29.629 --> 00:27:30.750
We hear that.
00:27:31.069 --> 00:27:38.109
This is a very specific, these specific prebiotics we chose in the formulation because they're very gentle on the body.
00:27:38.269 --> 00:27:46.430
And some of them are called resistant starches, which means that they don't do their thing until they've passed your small intestine and get into your large intestine.
00:27:46.670 --> 00:27:50.029
That is going to ease the experience of consuming fiber.
00:27:50.190 --> 00:27:52.670
And if you're nervous about it, maybe just start at half the dose.
00:27:52.829 --> 00:27:54.670
There's 11 grams of fiber in one scoop.
00:27:54.829 --> 00:27:57.309
If you're nervous about it, just start at half and see how you do.
00:27:57.470 --> 00:28:00.990
So if you feel scared with fiber, please give this one a try.
00:28:01.150 --> 00:28:01.950
It tastes good.
00:28:02.029 --> 00:28:08.509
It's a natural kiwi flavor that's actually from the golden kiwi extract, which is one of the prebiotics.
00:28:08.670 --> 00:28:16.190
It's a beautiful, healing fruit that has the prebiotics in there, and that will help to lower inflammation in your body.
00:28:16.430 --> 00:28:24.670
But what it's really doing too is it's just restoring your gut to give your body that diversification of those prebiotic strains.
00:28:24.750 --> 00:28:27.309
And again, it'll help if you're gonna feel full.
00:28:27.549 --> 00:28:36.829
So, I mean, if you are on a GLP one and you are trying to lose weight, or you just find that you crave a lot of foods, you feel hungry all the time, it's a frustrating place to be.
00:28:36.990 --> 00:28:46.190
And so having a good fiber that will help you not feel so full, it'll help to ease your cravings, it'll help to increase your metabolism, it'll lower blood sugar.
00:28:46.349 --> 00:28:51.150
I mean, look at the list of all of the things that this is doing for you.
00:28:51.309 --> 00:28:56.029
Um, it's just a critical product for gut health.
00:28:57.869 --> 00:29:07.549
I think you you brought up a really good point about how long it's taken you to heal, too, because that women do really think they come off of this trauma season or that fight or flight.
00:29:07.710 --> 00:29:09.470
It takes a long time to recover.
00:29:09.629 --> 00:29:16.509
Tabitha and I could both share how long it's it's taken us to recover from our seasons of having that constant fight or flight.
00:29:16.670 --> 00:29:27.309
And even today, with Tabitha kind of having that high anxiety from her son, like it takes us back, but now we just have better tools in place and we can recover faster, but it doesn't mean that it's easy.
00:29:27.470 --> 00:29:30.269
And it there was no pill that fixed us quickly.
00:29:30.589 --> 00:29:30.990
Yeah.
00:29:31.230 --> 00:29:32.029
Oh my gosh.
00:29:32.269 --> 00:29:38.190
And of course, I listened to something this morning that totally ties in with this.
00:29:38.349 --> 00:29:39.470
I love how God works.
00:29:39.710 --> 00:29:47.150
He's literally always like giving us breadcrumbs and trying to help us process things and understand.
00:29:47.309 --> 00:29:58.430
I was listening to Mike Signorelli, pastor from V1 Church, talking about being in fight or flight, talking about when Peter denied Jesus three times.
00:29:58.750 --> 00:30:09.150
He was by a fire, a charcoal fire, and then he took him back to that charcoal fire when he asked him, Do you love me?
00:30:09.389 --> 00:30:11.470
And he declared his love three times.
00:30:11.629 --> 00:30:30.269
And Pastor Mike was like, he had to go experience the same trigger that he failed in, like smelling the smoke, being in the situation, and have an opportunity to rewrite that trigger and mean something else and get redemption out of it.
00:30:30.430 --> 00:30:32.509
And I was just like, that is so good.
00:30:32.670 --> 00:30:33.869
Oh my gosh.
00:30:34.109 --> 00:30:38.670
And I feel like that is what I see with you.
00:30:38.829 --> 00:30:44.509
You know, Taylor tells stories about how he used to come to you and say, What does God say?
00:30:44.670 --> 00:30:46.029
What should I be doing?
00:30:46.109 --> 00:30:55.789
And you would be like the interpreter because he was afraid to be triggered and to go into the that deep pain of healing and do all of those things.
00:30:55.869 --> 00:31:01.869
And at some point, I think you said, like, um, you gotta ask God for yourself, right?
00:31:02.029 --> 00:31:11.470
And so he had to go back and experience the pain and the triggers to rewrite it and come out on the other side.
00:31:11.710 --> 00:31:26.750
And so I just think it's so cool that you held the space for him, but then when you no longer could hold it, God took over, helped you heal, and then he worked kind of, you know, on Taylor.
00:31:26.829 --> 00:31:39.789
I would love for you to speak to that a little bit because it's important for women to understand sometimes you have to feel more pain before you get to the other side, and it is a process.
00:31:40.029 --> 00:31:47.950
Like eight months to me sounds pretty darn quick to recover from a burnout and adrenal fatigue and nervous system dysregulation.
00:31:49.069 --> 00:31:52.990
I mean, she even said, I don't know how you're so happy.
00:31:53.309 --> 00:31:55.789
Um that's the joy of the Lord, right?
00:31:56.029 --> 00:32:01.629
Yeah, I said it is the joy of the Lord because I would not be able to be like this without it.
00:32:01.869 --> 00:32:07.549
Um, and I think that would honestly be what I would pray on a daily basis.
00:32:07.710 --> 00:32:11.629
Uh and honestly, that verse, like perfect love casts out fear.
00:32:11.789 --> 00:32:25.549
So I'm like, Lord, if I'm still anticipating like punishment from you, or the punishment of fear of like the fear of the unknown, or the fear of maybe what happened before in my past coming up again in my body.
00:32:25.710 --> 00:32:28.269
Like when I would get sick, I would have so much fear.
00:32:28.430 --> 00:32:34.430
Like, it's gonna go back to the way it was, and this is gonna, you know, you just go down that rabbit trail.
00:32:34.589 --> 00:32:39.549
Um, so that can feel traumatic too when you've dealt with so many issues in your body.
00:32:39.710 --> 00:32:54.029
I honestly, I I went through a very traumatic experience that I repressed from like 11 years old that happened to me, and I think my body held that for me for so long until I was able to see it.
00:32:54.349 --> 00:33:02.589
Um, and I did two years ago doing like a fast, and the Lord revealed it to me, and I went, Oh my goodness, that's when it started.
00:33:02.829 --> 00:33:19.069
Um, and so it really carried it for me over 20-something years, and I think so many women do that, and so much of Taylor's he had been carrying since he was like 17, um, just beliefs that we have about ourselves, and then the world reinforces it.
00:33:19.389 --> 00:33:26.750
And um, so during that time, I do remember saying, I think like God's not speaking to me anymore.
00:33:26.910 --> 00:33:47.150
I think that he wants you to ask him, and just the the anger that came out of that because he felt like I didn't want to help him, or I didn't want to um be a good helper, you know, and being the wife that I am and wanting to be a supporter, like ride or die, like I'll do whatever I need to do.
00:33:47.389 --> 00:33:54.589
It hit me in a different way at that time because the way I feel safe is supporting others.
00:33:54.829 --> 00:34:05.950
Um the way I feel safe and know the outcome is to like make sure everyone else's needs are met so that after everyone else's are met, then mine can get met.
00:34:06.029 --> 00:34:24.590
And I'm the Lord dealt with both of us at the same time, which was difficult because the control pieces I had in place of like if I pray and help Taylor, then he'll get better and then he'll support me better, and this whole like tangled mess of why am I doing this?
00:34:24.829 --> 00:34:29.070
Uh, did I ask God for permission if I'm allowed to say this?
00:34:29.150 --> 00:34:32.910
Um, even though he did give me a gift to hear him in that way.
00:34:33.389 --> 00:34:39.789
Um am I trying to be God and like save someone when God wants to do it?
00:34:40.190 --> 00:34:50.750
Um, I think those are all really difficult places to find yourself as a wife because we do want to just fix our, you know, marriage or fix our situation.
00:34:51.070 --> 00:35:02.349
And sometimes it's in the mess that we are confronted not only for the person to get freedom, but for us to be like, why is it so hard to let me not do it?
00:35:02.590 --> 00:35:07.389
Um, why is it so hard to let God take control of it and not me?
00:35:07.630 --> 00:35:15.070
Why is it so difficult to see them struggle and then know that I'll struggle and then that's a struggle?
00:35:15.230 --> 00:35:15.630
Do you know?
00:35:15.710 --> 00:35:18.430
I don't know if that makes sense, but 100%.
00:35:18.910 --> 00:35:21.070
There's like so much going through my mind.
00:35:21.309 --> 00:35:21.630
Yeah.
00:35:21.869 --> 00:35:22.750
What are you thinking?
00:35:22.990 --> 00:35:31.150
I'm just thinking that what we like to do is we we like to protect and we like to control because we don't want to see our people suffer.
00:35:31.309 --> 00:35:32.750
Like we don't want to see our kids suffer.
00:35:32.829 --> 00:35:36.269
We don't want to see our husbands suffer, but they have to suffer.
00:35:36.349 --> 00:35:37.470
And you say this a lot.
00:35:37.630 --> 00:35:39.470
We can't protect them from their testimony.
00:35:39.550 --> 00:35:40.670
And so, and we can't.
00:35:40.750 --> 00:35:42.829
Like, we've got to let them screw up.
00:35:43.070 --> 00:35:45.150
But it is hard to do that.
00:35:45.309 --> 00:35:46.190
Like, I don't like it.
00:35:46.349 --> 00:35:47.869
I don't want to see my son struggle.
00:35:47.950 --> 00:35:49.550
I don't want to see my husband struggle.
00:35:49.789 --> 00:35:54.829
Well, especially if they're taking it as you're forsaking me, like you're not helping me.
00:35:55.150 --> 00:35:56.430
You could be helping me.
00:35:56.670 --> 00:35:57.789
Yeah, exactly.
00:35:58.110 --> 00:36:07.309
Wow, that was incredibly strong of you to just be like, no, the Lord is telling me you gotta go do this for yourself.
00:36:08.190 --> 00:36:11.150
How long did that go on?
00:36:13.230 --> 00:36:19.710
I mean, honestly, almost four years because there was just such, well, maybe three.
00:36:19.869 --> 00:36:30.190
I would say three for sure, like stronger years where I was um, he walked away from everything and I was the only thing he could hear at that time.
00:36:30.429 --> 00:36:32.750
He was just so in a trauma place.
00:36:32.829 --> 00:36:35.150
Like he was in survival at that point.
00:36:35.550 --> 00:36:37.949
Um, and then it got less frequent, I would say.
00:36:38.110 --> 00:36:40.909
I feel like it's very rare now, if if at all.
00:36:41.070 --> 00:36:43.710
Now it's just mostly like, what are your thoughts?
00:36:43.869 --> 00:36:45.789
Can you pray and like confirm this with me?
00:36:45.949 --> 00:36:48.909
It's not like him leaning on me to get an answer.
00:36:49.309 --> 00:36:53.550
Because that was probably two years ago, the last time that happened.
00:36:53.789 --> 00:36:58.989
Um but yeah, it confronted my own insecurity of now I'm not needed.
00:36:59.150 --> 00:37:02.509
So who can I help?
00:37:03.150 --> 00:37:08.989
It shifted to other things and other people, and then God was like, Hey, this has nothing to do with Taylor.
00:37:09.070 --> 00:37:10.509
I'm dealing with you.
00:37:10.829 --> 00:37:19.630
Um, which is even harder because you can really look at the person struggling, be like, look at them, they really are you know the worst one.
00:37:19.869 --> 00:37:29.309
And then he points to us and is like, Okay, well, why are you thinking that it, you know, it's up to you what's in your heart, you know?
00:37:29.550 --> 00:37:31.389
Lindsay, that is so good, girl.
00:37:31.630 --> 00:37:32.829
Whoo! Oh my god.
00:37:33.150 --> 00:37:41.630
It always comes in the mirror back, and I'm like, I don't like to see that, but okay, I'm gonna be vulnerable and share something that happened with me a couple weeks ago.
00:37:41.869 --> 00:37:55.710
I was journaling and just praying and talking to God, and really I was having a pity party for myself and complaining, like everybody just uses me and they only talk to me when they want something.
00:37:55.869 --> 00:38:04.509
And I was like complaining to myself about my older daughter, and God said, Well, that's really interesting.
00:38:04.670 --> 00:38:07.789
You think she only talks to you when she needs something?
00:38:07.949 --> 00:38:09.710
How does that feel again?
00:38:09.869 --> 00:38:13.630
And I was like, Oh, slap in the face.
00:38:13.949 --> 00:38:17.630
You're telling me I only talk to you when I want something from you, God.
00:38:17.789 --> 00:38:19.869
I was like, I repent right now.
00:38:20.030 --> 00:38:21.550
You are such a good, good father.
00:38:21.630 --> 00:38:23.630
I just come here to worship you.
00:38:23.869 --> 00:38:31.230
But that was so beautiful that he turned that mirror on me and he was like, No, this is about you, actually.
00:38:31.469 --> 00:38:39.070
Maybe you just need to love her and be the, you know, one to initiate things more and be the mom.
00:38:39.630 --> 00:38:46.110
And it was such a beautiful moment because God is so gracious, there's never condemnation.
00:38:46.269 --> 00:38:50.909
You don't feel bad when he corrects you or shows you that picture, right?
00:38:51.070 --> 00:38:52.349
He's like, Oh, look.
00:38:52.750 --> 00:38:56.349
So I think that's a really important thing that you just shared.
00:38:56.509 --> 00:38:56.909
Thank you.
00:38:57.070 --> 00:38:58.110
Holy cow!
00:38:59.150 --> 00:38:59.550
So good.
00:38:59.710 --> 00:39:01.469
I think we should talk about kids a little bit.
00:39:01.630 --> 00:39:06.509
Lindsay, you and Taylor talk a lot about raising your kids in such a faith way.
00:39:06.590 --> 00:39:14.030
And so share a little bit about how you raise them to trust God and not just like giving them your faith.
00:39:15.550 --> 00:39:15.949
Wow.
00:39:16.030 --> 00:39:23.949
Well, I'm still I only have a seven and a three-year-old, so I'm sure you guys have a lot more skin in the game with older kids.
00:39:24.269 --> 00:39:31.869
But just the foundation that we're trying to build is honestly like what I learned, it wasn't but three years ago.
00:39:31.949 --> 00:39:36.509
With I have always heard God for other people, but for myself, I really doubted him.
00:39:36.989 --> 00:39:40.829
Um, that's probably the episode on Deep End that you guys saw of me.
00:39:40.989 --> 00:39:44.909
But just God teaching me how to hear his voice through picking out my clothes.
00:39:44.989 --> 00:39:48.509
Like I would be like, Um, Lord, what should I wear today?
00:39:48.670 --> 00:39:53.150
And he would show me, and it would just be a plain shirt or a sweatshirt.
00:39:53.230 --> 00:39:55.389
It wasn't anything super fancy.
00:39:55.710 --> 00:40:04.829
But when I asked him on the days that we did that together, someone would always comment and be like, Oh, I love your outfit, or I love that color on you.
00:40:05.230 --> 00:40:07.550
And it confirmed, like, oh, I'm hearing him.
00:40:07.789 --> 00:40:08.110
Okay.
00:40:08.590 --> 00:40:13.949
Um, so we teach our kids that mostly Kate, because she's old enough to comprehend it.
00:40:14.269 --> 00:40:22.590
But we teach them how to put on their armor every morning because I feel like that's super important with um just how we go into the day.
00:40:22.750 --> 00:40:28.909
So we teach them how to put on their armor, we we put it on like the helmet of salvation, the breastplate, right?
00:40:29.070 --> 00:40:37.150
Like we do the whole thing with them out for the day, and we plead the blood of Jesus over our minds, bodies, souls, spirits, wills, and emotions.
00:40:37.309 --> 00:40:44.030
And they, you know, we teach them how to repent, how to change their thinking about things.
00:40:44.110 --> 00:40:49.710
Um, if they're speaking lies over themselves, like what the truth is and what God says about them.
00:40:50.190 --> 00:40:54.989
Um, and so obviously, since they're little, we have to like feed it to them still.
00:40:55.230 --> 00:40:58.590
But Kate's getting to an age now where I'm like, what are you grateful for?
00:40:58.750 --> 00:41:00.909
Give me like a list of three things.
00:41:01.150 --> 00:41:03.630
And what do you, what does God love about you?
00:41:03.789 --> 00:41:05.630
Like what's your strength, you know?
00:41:05.949 --> 00:41:14.989
Um and then if she's on like literally, this week was the first week of school, and she was super anxious in the car on the way to school this morning.
00:41:15.230 --> 00:41:23.469
And we'll do this little thing where I'm like, okay, well, is it your anxiety or is it somebody else's that you're feeling before you get there?
00:41:23.789 --> 00:41:25.949
And she's like, I don't know, mom, I can't hear.
00:41:26.110 --> 00:41:28.269
And I'm like, well, just let's take a breath.
00:41:28.349 --> 00:41:32.030
And we always pray this little prayer I learned from Jamie Winship.
00:41:32.190 --> 00:41:41.630
Um, it was like, I think I'm paraphrasing it, but it was like, um, bind the enemy in his lies, silence my own thoughts, and give me the mind of Christ.
00:41:41.789 --> 00:41:45.630
And then you ask God, like, what do you think, what do you say about this?
00:41:46.030 --> 00:41:50.909
And so I asked Kate, ask Jesus what he says about your anxiety.
00:41:50.989 --> 00:41:52.670
Is it yours or somebody else's?
00:41:52.829 --> 00:41:54.509
And she said, It's someone else's.
00:41:54.670 --> 00:41:55.710
That's what he told me.
00:41:56.110 --> 00:41:58.750
And so I said, Well, how can we encourage?
00:41:58.829 --> 00:42:05.550
Like, I just believe it's gonna be a kid that you're gonna see today that maybe they're sad or missing their mom.
00:42:05.710 --> 00:42:09.630
Like, what could you do to, you know, encourage them today?
00:42:09.949 --> 00:42:11.550
And so little things like that.
00:42:11.710 --> 00:42:20.750
I don't feel like at this point we're doing anything really deep or big, but no, but you're setting such an amazing firm foundation.
00:42:20.909 --> 00:42:32.670
So I can tell you, Tabitha and I do have older kiddos, but uh from my own perspective, I wish I could go back and do that for my son, but I wasn't I wasn't where I am now in my faith walk.
00:42:32.829 --> 00:42:38.429
And so I'm trying to now change that well, you know, as a teenager, and that that's hard.
00:42:38.590 --> 00:42:43.309
And so I think it's amazing that your kids are getting to experience that such.
00:42:43.389 --> 00:42:48.909
So don't don't negate that for yourself at all, just because you don't have the quote unquote experience.
00:42:49.150 --> 00:42:51.869
You are giving them such an incredible experience.
00:42:52.110 --> 00:42:56.989
Oh my gosh, I totally wish I could go back and be a mom like Lindsay.
00:42:57.070 --> 00:42:59.389
Like, girl, you are amazing.
00:42:59.630 --> 00:43:01.469
I'm just I'm in awe of you.
00:43:01.630 --> 00:43:04.829
That is that is deep, that is incredible.
00:43:05.150 --> 00:43:17.309
You are are like equipping her to live in this world, but you know, yeah, we and there it is such a Jesus generation that is coming up, like it's so cool.
00:43:17.630 --> 00:43:24.590
Forrest Frank says that all the time, but it really is so powerful to witness and to see.
00:43:24.909 --> 00:43:39.150
But you also see, I feel like the attacks on that younger generation, the anxiety that they all do have and that they're fighting against because of the technology and all the things that they're up against, but also because they do have a strong faith.
00:43:39.469 --> 00:43:45.869
Because women like you, Lindsay, and women like Tapha and I like we have a strong faith and we're we're putting that back on our kids.
00:43:46.110 --> 00:43:46.429
Yeah.
00:43:46.670 --> 00:43:52.989
Well, I think the scripture that Lindsay mentioned is everything like perfect love casts it all out.
00:43:53.150 --> 00:43:59.710
Like if you are shining your light and you are focused on the kingdom, the darkness just has to leave.
00:44:00.110 --> 00:44:02.269
It can't handle it, it can't stay.
00:44:02.349 --> 00:44:05.389
It's like repelled by it, you know?
00:44:05.550 --> 00:44:05.869
Yeah.
00:44:06.030 --> 00:44:18.030
So you had mentioned in the bio that you sent over to me that success is not only measured by what the family builds, but by the peace, the connection, and the integrity with which they build it.
00:44:18.190 --> 00:44:23.150
And I just want to honor you right now because you literally are so successful.
00:44:23.309 --> 00:44:26.590
You are doing that, and it is an absolutely beautiful thing.
00:44:26.670 --> 00:44:30.269
It makes me want to step up my mom game big time.
00:44:30.509 --> 00:44:32.349
So I'm not gonna live in regret.
00:44:32.429 --> 00:44:42.030
I don't shoot it on myself, but um, I need to do better going forward because that those are beautiful conversations you're having with your children.
00:44:43.309 --> 00:44:44.269
Well, thank you.
00:44:44.509 --> 00:45:00.750
I I feel like honestly, that even you reading that verse, every time I hear it, it was like a daily thing where I would literally pray it over myself like a hundred times a day, sometimes, because I think it confronts that orphan spirit in all of us.
00:45:00.829 --> 00:45:25.150
That's like, I'm fearful of like whatever's I think's gonna happen if I don't blank or if I do blank, like if I didn't teach my kids that when they were five, like what will happen to them, or if I did this or didn't do that, it's I feel like the enemy just tries to get in your mind and make you feel like an orphan, like nobody was there to teach you, so this is what's gonna happen.
00:45:25.550 --> 00:45:36.030
And I just love that verse because anytime I would feel confronted, even in just life, like I felt like I was left with so much I had to learn on my own.
00:45:36.269 --> 00:45:44.030
But that verse was like, okay, if I'm still anticipating punishment, then that's not God, like He's perfect love.
00:45:44.190 --> 00:45:51.070
So I would just ask him, Lord, would you just give me another layer of your perfect love for that area of my life?
00:45:51.230 --> 00:45:54.750
Because I'm not knowing you in that perfect love there.
00:45:55.150 --> 00:46:04.670
Um and I just feel like that really that's been my constant for the last I guess it's twenty twenty six, the last six years since that journey started.
00:46:05.550 --> 00:46:06.989
That's been Huge.
00:46:07.150 --> 00:46:08.509
So oh my gosh.
00:46:08.909 --> 00:46:10.190
You don't have to do it perfect.
00:46:10.509 --> 00:46:11.309
No, you don't.
00:46:11.389 --> 00:46:16.429
And if somebody's listening right now and you're like, shoulda, coulda, woulda, please.
00:46:16.590 --> 00:46:26.989
I'm telling you, my beautiful oldest daughter, she's like gave me so much purpose having her at 17, but I did not raise her in the church.
00:46:27.070 --> 00:46:31.309
I had walked away from the church and had major church hurt.
00:46:31.469 --> 00:46:38.509
I was reading my Bible quietly to myself, but not talking to her, not raising her with any of that.
00:46:38.670 --> 00:46:44.509
And Jesus still hunted her down and brought her in the fold and saved her in her 30s.
00:46:44.750 --> 00:46:48.909
So I'm telling you, God is a redeeming God.
00:46:50.030 --> 00:46:52.829
It's not on us to do God's job.
00:46:52.989 --> 00:46:55.150
That is where the control comes from.
00:46:55.309 --> 00:46:57.389
That is where the fear comes from.
00:46:57.630 --> 00:46:58.349
All of it.
00:46:58.509 --> 00:47:01.070
We have to stop trying to do God's job.
00:47:01.389 --> 00:47:08.349
He's called us to plant seeds, to water seeds, and he will actually do the saving, right?
00:47:09.309 --> 00:47:09.869
So good.
00:47:10.110 --> 00:47:11.070
Oh my gosh.
00:47:11.389 --> 00:47:12.670
Such an amazing episode.
00:47:12.829 --> 00:47:15.469
I'm so glad we asked you on here.
00:47:16.349 --> 00:47:17.309
What else?
00:47:17.550 --> 00:47:28.670
So I would just say, Lindsay, I love to wrap it up because someone is listening right now, and they're probably either out walking or they're in their car and they just put in their garage and they don't want to get out.
00:47:28.750 --> 00:47:29.869
I do that so much.
00:47:30.030 --> 00:47:32.750
I don't want to like take go to the next, you know, you don't want to transition.
00:47:32.829 --> 00:47:33.869
You're like, just sit here.
00:47:34.030 --> 00:47:36.269
No one can see me while I'm in the car.
00:47:36.509 --> 00:47:40.030
And you know, her marriage might be struggling, and school is starting.
00:47:40.110 --> 00:47:44.590
And so when you're raising a kiddo that struggles in school, that her body is just going through so much.
00:47:44.750 --> 00:47:53.949
What would you say to her today to allow her to know that it is okay to get out of that car, and here's what she can do to do that and have a peace about it.
00:47:55.070 --> 00:47:56.750
Ooh, that's a good one.
00:47:58.590 --> 00:48:06.989
Oh, I feel like some days there's not like one thing that I could say that someone could do.
00:48:07.789 --> 00:48:15.869
But before she gets out, just like even I've done this where I've sat and I'm like, okay, like I'm going in, you know?
00:48:16.829 --> 00:48:18.429
I love that we all do this.
00:48:18.750 --> 00:48:30.110
Yeah, just having grace for yourself and your body that it's a good body, and you are doing your very best, and that's enough for today.
00:48:30.269 --> 00:48:45.389
I think sometimes we women put so much pressure on ourselves to perform, and it's almost like a wind-up doll where you go in and you're like turn it on for dinner time, and then you're just fried at the end.
00:48:45.630 --> 00:48:52.030
So um, one thing I've done that actually is great is I'll put worship music on while I'm in the kitchen cooking.
00:48:52.190 --> 00:49:05.070
Um, and I'll just put my headphones on and I'll keep one side off so I can hear everybody, but just to like fill my mind with that for the moment, because I'm transitioning from one kind of role to the other.
00:49:05.389 --> 00:49:12.829
Um, and then it helps to just ask my kids even what was your favorite part about today and what what felt hard?
00:49:13.150 --> 00:49:14.509
And we all share.
00:49:14.590 --> 00:49:22.349
So I feel like the vulnerability kind of your voice is what helps like move things out of your body as well as movement, obviously.
00:49:22.509 --> 00:49:29.869
But having that conversation and hearing my kids on the times where I felt like there's no way that that made a difference.
00:49:30.110 --> 00:49:35.789
Them saying, This was my favorite part of the day when mom was driving us and she was humming in the front.
00:49:35.869 --> 00:49:36.590
I'm like, what?
00:49:37.150 --> 00:49:42.829
And it's just I don't know, those little moments, um, or even getting to hear what they felt was hard.
00:49:42.909 --> 00:49:46.590
You're like, man, okay, we're doing something good.
00:49:46.750 --> 00:49:46.909
Yeah.
00:49:47.230 --> 00:49:48.750
And that's not that hard.
00:49:48.909 --> 00:49:49.949
Do you know what I mean?
00:49:50.110 --> 00:49:57.309
Um, obviously not telling them that, but you know, just in your mind, going, okay, we're doing something right, this is gonna be okay.
00:49:57.550 --> 00:49:59.309
Um, I don't know.
00:49:59.389 --> 00:50:02.269
I feel like that's been what has been working for us.
00:50:02.509 --> 00:50:02.909
I love that.
00:50:03.070 --> 00:50:05.150
Worship music literally changes the atmosphere.
00:50:05.230 --> 00:50:10.590
So if you can't do anything, just put on a good song, like put on a good worship and allow the music to just take over.
00:50:10.829 --> 00:50:18.269
Yeah, Wendy Backlund says the angels love to hear the worship music and they just come to you and and they worship together with you.
00:50:18.509 --> 00:50:19.789
I was like, oh, I love that.
00:50:19.869 --> 00:50:20.190
Yes.
00:50:20.670 --> 00:50:20.909
It's it.
00:50:21.230 --> 00:50:31.789
But the coolest part about having older kids is you get to hear what they remember, and they literally remember the smallest, most random, beautiful moments.
00:50:31.869 --> 00:50:39.710
And I'm like, I don't remember that, but it's things like singing in the car together, you know, or it's the small thing.
00:50:39.949 --> 00:50:41.309
It's the small thing.
00:50:41.469 --> 00:50:43.230
So you it's so beautiful.
00:50:43.309 --> 00:50:47.230
I can't wait to see what Kate turns into.
00:50:47.469 --> 00:50:50.030
Like we don't know about Harrison yet.
00:50:50.590 --> 00:51:00.030
He's not fastened back yet, but Kate is going to like change the landscape out there for everybody in her generation.
00:51:00.190 --> 00:51:03.230
She is already a powerhouse with her little self.
00:51:03.389 --> 00:51:04.590
I just love her so much.
00:51:04.750 --> 00:51:05.949
Oh my goodness.
00:51:06.750 --> 00:51:09.150
Okay, I'm gonna close this out.
00:51:09.309 --> 00:51:12.909
I always ask women to meditate on a scripture for the week.
00:51:13.070 --> 00:51:16.269
So we're gonna do 1 John 4, 18.
00:51:16.590 --> 00:51:22.269
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear.
00:51:22.429 --> 00:51:31.389
It like literally drives it out because fear has to do with punishment, and the one who fears is not made perfect in love.
00:51:31.550 --> 00:51:33.230
So meditate on that.
00:51:33.389 --> 00:51:34.269
Talk to God.
00:51:34.429 --> 00:51:38.190
What does He want to tell you through that scripture today, ladies?
00:51:38.429 --> 00:51:39.710
It is for you.
00:51:39.869 --> 00:51:49.710
I promise you, the word is living and active, it's gonna like cut through all of the crap and get to your soul and speak to you.
00:51:49.869 --> 00:51:52.750
So have that conversation with God this week.
00:51:52.909 --> 00:51:57.389
Rely on him, hand it over, just lay it all down, ladies.
00:51:57.630 --> 00:52:05.070
Um, and I just want to leave you with this you don't have to know what God is doing to trust who God is.
00:52:05.230 --> 00:52:08.509
Number one, these are my lessons I'm learning from Lindsay.
00:52:08.750 --> 00:52:14.989
You don't have to deny what you feel in order to believe what is truth.
00:52:15.869 --> 00:52:21.469
You do not have to um hold everything together, right?
00:52:21.630 --> 00:52:28.829
Sometimes faith looks like strength, but sometimes it looks like weakness because that's how he is strong in your weakness.
00:52:28.909 --> 00:52:31.550
And sometimes it looks like surrender and worship.
00:52:31.949 --> 00:52:34.509
Um and sometimes it's Jesus.
00:52:34.670 --> 00:52:38.190
I just still choose you no matter what the circumstance.
00:52:38.349 --> 00:52:40.989
So thank you for sharing your wisdom.
00:52:41.230 --> 00:52:48.110
You are a light in so much darkness, and I just I'm so grateful to know you and to share your story.
00:52:48.190 --> 00:52:50.909
So why don't you close us out?
00:52:51.869 --> 00:52:52.190
Okay.
00:52:53.469 --> 00:52:56.269
Father, we thank you for these women.
00:52:56.509 --> 00:53:05.070
We thank you for those that are on their walk, for those that are in the car on their way home, or if they're going into the fullness of life right now.
00:53:05.230 --> 00:53:17.309
We just um still our hearts right now, and we ask you, um, just in your perfect love, to go to the depths and the crevices that are scary for us to look at today.
00:53:17.469 --> 00:53:20.670
And would you just highlight your love there to us?
00:53:21.070 --> 00:53:34.829
Would your um just Father's heart come to minister to these women who are weary, the ones who are hopeful, um, the ones who are believing for better in their lives, Lord?
00:53:34.909 --> 00:53:42.110
I pray that you would give them such an assurance of your presence with them, such an assurance of your love for them.
00:53:42.349 --> 00:53:54.750
And I thank you, Lord, that um you would place people in their path that would cheer them along as they are on this journey that is crazy and that we call um as women just life.
00:53:54.829 --> 00:53:59.949
And so I just thank you for the community that these women are able to be a part of.
00:54:00.110 --> 00:54:09.389
I bless Tabitha and Ashley as they go about their day and the things that um you're giving them and wisdom to bring to this community.
00:54:09.550 --> 00:54:20.349
I pray that you would cause it to flourish even more, that more people would have hope of you, Jesus, and what they are doing in their health journeys.
00:54:20.429 --> 00:54:23.949
Uh, and I just ask you to bless us in anything that we're going into today.
00:54:24.030 --> 00:54:26.190
Would you go before us in Jesus' name?
00:54:26.349 --> 00:54:26.750
Amen.
00:54:26.989 --> 00:54:27.550
Amen.
00:54:27.949 --> 00:54:28.429
Thank you.
00:54:28.590 --> 00:54:30.269
Yeah, have a good week, ladies.
00:54:30.429 --> 00:54:31.309
Oh, so good.
00:54:31.550 --> 00:54:32.190
So good.
00:54:37.070 --> 00:54:41.550
If you like that episode, I have one favor to ask, maybe two.
