00:02:06.429 --> 00:02:23.229
They are afraid to deal with the fact that they hate their job or their marriage is toxic or that they haven't spoken to their child in two years, or they just are not living as God designed them to live.
00:02:23.310 --> 00:02:25.629
They're not doing what they're called to do.
00:02:25.949 --> 00:02:32.590
Well, they're literally living in fear and worrying about tomorrow so much instead of relishing in the fact that we have today.
00:02:37.710 --> 00:02:47.389
If you're tired of doing all the right things and still feeling exhausted, stuck in your body, and disconnected from God, this podcast is for you.
00:02:47.550 --> 00:02:48.110
I'm Dr.
00:02:48.269 --> 00:02:57.389
Tabitha, a triple board certified functional medicine physician, and I help women stop fighting their bodies and start healing them God's way.
00:02:57.629 --> 00:02:59.069
Let's get into it.
00:03:04.750 --> 00:03:11.789
Exhausted, dismissed, told your labs are fine while your body is screaming something's wrong.
00:03:12.030 --> 00:03:19.389
I have Hashimoto's, and maybe you do, or suspect that you do, and you're still searching for real answers.
00:03:19.550 --> 00:03:35.229
Well, I need you to hear today's episode because my guest is a registered nurse who spent 17 years in the ER before she walked away from it all to help women with Hashimoto's to actually heal, not manage, heal.
00:03:35.629 --> 00:03:44.110
She is here today to tell you exactly what questions to ask, what your doctor might be missing, and why you are the CEO of your own health.
00:03:44.189 --> 00:03:45.550
So stay with us.
00:03:50.990 --> 00:03:58.110
I hope that the women in our community, the women watching, listening to this, are like feeling it and they are empowering themselves.
00:03:58.430 --> 00:03:59.389
Yes, exactly.
00:03:59.550 --> 00:04:01.310
So welcome to Fast of Faith, ladies.
00:04:01.550 --> 00:04:01.949
I'm Dr.
00:04:02.030 --> 00:04:02.750
Tabitha.
00:04:02.909 --> 00:04:06.110
Joining me as always is my beautiful co-host, Ashley.
00:04:06.269 --> 00:04:07.310
It's gonna be a good episode.
00:04:07.550 --> 00:04:08.829
It is gonna be a good episode.
00:04:08.990 --> 00:04:15.149
And it's continuing the theme of someone who left conventional medicine and flipped over to the dark side.
00:04:15.469 --> 00:04:19.469
Yeah, it's amazing how like attracts like.
00:04:19.550 --> 00:04:20.269
Yeah, you know?
00:04:20.509 --> 00:04:20.829
Yep.
00:04:21.069 --> 00:04:21.709
Oh my gosh.
00:04:21.790 --> 00:04:25.949
Well, and I just think it goes back to, and I keep saying this every episode, just like the mission.
00:04:26.029 --> 00:04:30.430
Like God really has this huge mission, and it's exciting to see everyone team up.
00:04:30.909 --> 00:04:31.629
He does.
00:04:31.790 --> 00:04:35.709
And the truth is conventional medicine is gonna implode itself.
00:04:35.790 --> 00:04:41.949
You know, I worked for years to try and change the system from inside, and it's just not.
00:04:42.029 --> 00:04:54.350
It is so broken, and so there's countless other providers realizing that, and they're jumping ship, and they are on the mission to actually heal and reverse disease.
00:04:54.670 --> 00:05:06.189
And so if you're listening, I want you to have hope because Hashimoto's is not a death sentence, it is it's not something that you have to suffer with.
00:05:06.269 --> 00:05:17.790
I was diagnosed at 17, and I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my whole life at 51, and my antibody numbers are like almost non-existent.
00:05:17.870 --> 00:05:20.189
So we're gonna dive into all of that today.
00:05:20.269 --> 00:05:30.829
And if you don't even have a diagnosis of Hashimoto's, you still need this episode because it is one of the most undiagnosed conditions that there are.
00:05:30.990 --> 00:05:40.430
And I promise you, somebody is that you know is affected because it's estimated that 10 to 14 million Americans actually have Hashimoto's.
00:05:40.509 --> 00:05:44.430
It's seven to 10 times more in women than in men.
00:05:44.670 --> 00:05:48.189
It's very dismissed, undertested, under-treated.
00:05:48.430 --> 00:05:51.389
So we gotta dive into all of this.
00:05:52.509 --> 00:05:53.149
Yay.
00:05:53.469 --> 00:05:55.870
Okay, I'm gonna sing my guest's praises.
00:05:56.029 --> 00:05:56.829
She's so awesome.
00:05:56.990 --> 00:06:00.909
I was actually recorded on her podcast last week.
00:06:01.069 --> 00:06:02.509
So we're gonna dive in.
00:06:02.670 --> 00:06:04.990
Her name is Esther Yunkin.
00:06:05.149 --> 00:06:06.589
She is a registered nurse.
00:06:06.670 --> 00:06:11.149
She has spent 25 years in the healthcare system, 17 in the ER.
00:06:11.389 --> 00:06:15.550
Uh, her podcast is called Health with Hashimoto's.
00:06:15.790 --> 00:06:19.709
So that tells you right there that we're not just living and managing disease.
00:06:19.790 --> 00:06:21.469
We're actually trying to get healthy.
00:06:21.709 --> 00:06:29.149
So she helps exhausted women regain their energy, feel like themselves again without getting overwhelmed, because that's a big deal.
00:06:29.229 --> 00:06:30.509
And I love this part.
00:06:30.669 --> 00:06:33.469
She lives in rural Minnesota, y'all.
00:06:33.629 --> 00:06:41.629
So she is just as cold as we are today on this May morning with her husband and her four boys.
00:06:41.709 --> 00:06:44.829
She homeschools, gardens, and raises chickens.
00:06:45.069 --> 00:06:46.589
So welcome, Esther.
00:06:47.310 --> 00:06:47.870
Thank you.
00:06:48.029 --> 00:06:49.389
I'm so excited to be here.
00:06:49.549 --> 00:06:56.029
I've listened to your podcast for a couple years, and you do such a good job of educating people and helping them advocate for themselves.
00:06:56.189 --> 00:06:57.469
So thank you for what you do.
00:06:57.789 --> 00:07:00.669
Oh, it is my greatest pleasure, actually.
00:07:00.750 --> 00:07:05.149
It's like one of the things that God has called me to do.
00:07:05.229 --> 00:07:15.469
And I love connecting with providers like yourself because the truth is you can Google a lot of stuff and you can get a lot of information.
00:07:16.029 --> 00:07:31.469
But until someone helps you connect the dots and they share their story of how they made it through the fire and came out on the other side, refined and doing amazing, like you can just lose hope in all that information, right?
00:07:31.629 --> 00:07:36.669
It can be overwhelming and very depressing, wouldn't you say?
00:07:37.149 --> 00:07:38.189
Yeah, for sure.
00:07:38.430 --> 00:07:45.789
Like people ask about, you know, barriers to joining something, you know, and that commonly people talk about like money or time.
00:07:45.949 --> 00:07:51.149
And I say one of the biggest barriers for women is they it's not time or money, it's hope.
00:07:51.229 --> 00:07:52.029
They've lost hope.
00:07:52.109 --> 00:07:58.029
They've tried so many things or they've gotten too overwhelmed and they just don't have a hope that things could be better.
00:07:58.349 --> 00:07:59.469
Yeah, exactly.
00:07:59.789 --> 00:08:06.669
So ER medicine, emergency medicine, it's designed to keep you alive, but it's not designed to make you well.
00:08:07.229 --> 00:08:14.109
So how the heck did you go from an ER doc to helping women heal their Hashimoto's?
00:08:14.669 --> 00:08:18.029
Well, I'm not doctor, but I was in the ER as an RN.
00:08:18.109 --> 00:08:28.109
Um and yeah, on those days when you're saving lives, you know, picking somebody up off, you know, the ambulance brought them in from the side of the road and you're like packaging them back together.
00:08:28.269 --> 00:08:28.909
That's awesome.
00:08:29.069 --> 00:08:34.430
Standing next to somebody's bed and pushing meds to keep them alive for literally the next 30 seconds.
00:08:34.590 --> 00:08:35.789
Um, that's awesome.
00:08:35.950 --> 00:08:37.549
That's why we're there in the ER.
00:08:38.110 --> 00:08:47.149
But so many like individual people kept coming back over and over and over for the same things, much less, you know, the same common complaints.
00:08:47.549 --> 00:08:49.149
And I just got burnt out with that.
00:08:49.310 --> 00:08:52.509
I'm like, I'm just putting short-term band-aids on chronic things.
00:08:52.669 --> 00:08:56.830
I'm not actually making a difference, I'm keeping them alive for the next day.
00:08:57.230 --> 00:09:01.389
But really, we're just symptom managing until the next crisis comes.
00:09:01.870 --> 00:09:05.230
Instead, I could help them prevent these crises.
00:09:05.789 --> 00:09:09.310
So I went back to school for holistic health and education.
00:09:09.629 --> 00:09:19.230
And at that time I was naively thinking, well, the ERs are overloaded, Western medicine is broken, so everybody obviously is going to come seek out preventative help.
00:09:19.470 --> 00:09:21.629
Everybody obviously needs this.
00:09:21.710 --> 00:09:25.470
And then I found out, oh, yeah, a lot of people are stuck in crisis mode.
00:09:25.629 --> 00:09:27.070
They don't want the prevention.
00:09:27.230 --> 00:09:29.310
And so that was another learning curve of me.
00:09:29.470 --> 00:09:37.870
But um, yeah, it was just I got I got sick and tired of just putting band-aids on what I knew was a fixable pro problem.
00:09:38.430 --> 00:09:43.310
So you said that there were several people that you s you kept seeing come back over and over again.
00:09:43.549 --> 00:09:49.789
Was there something specific um that you saw that kind of was that like I need to make a change?
00:09:51.950 --> 00:09:52.830
Not really.
00:09:53.230 --> 00:09:55.149
It was the it was just the overall.
00:09:55.389 --> 00:10:00.669
But there was one father specifically who I was like, oh, I did make a difference.
00:10:00.830 --> 00:10:02.350
And he would come in with his kids.
00:10:02.509 --> 00:10:12.350
I was often out in triage, which for anybody who doesn't know, you come into the ER and you talk to the nurse, uh the triage nurse, and she figures out like how sick you are, how fast you need to go back.
00:10:12.509 --> 00:10:20.350
Um in a busy ER, the E the triage nurse is also like ordering labs and tests and everything that she thinks the doctor is going to want.
00:10:20.590 --> 00:10:23.870
Um and there was this one dad who kept coming in with his kids for ear infections.
00:10:24.110 --> 00:10:28.590
And every time, as part of my assessment, I would ask, I could smell it clearly, like, do you smoke?
00:10:28.830 --> 00:10:30.269
Like, obviously, it was a yes.
00:10:30.509 --> 00:10:37.629
And so I would just give one sentence of, Did you know that smoking increases your kids' risks of ear infections?
00:10:37.950 --> 00:10:40.829
And he came in so frequently with his multiple different kids.
00:10:41.149 --> 00:10:46.990
And so I mean, he got my little spiel a couple times, and then one time he came in by himself and he's like, You're that nurse.
00:10:47.069 --> 00:10:48.509
And I was like, What are you talking about?
00:10:48.909 --> 00:10:51.149
He said, I just want to let you know I quit smoking.
00:10:51.870 --> 00:11:03.789
And it was, I think that moment sticks in my head because I wasn't lecturing him, I wasn't getting down on him, I was just saying, Do you know about this that could help your kids?
00:11:04.029 --> 00:11:06.029
And he made that lifestyle change.
00:11:06.350 --> 00:11:15.549
And as a result, you know, his kids probably had less ear infections, which means they were on antibiotics less, which means their gut health was better, which means their immune system was better.
00:11:15.710 --> 00:11:25.309
So many things changed because I educated him on one thing, and I think that was the moment was like, Hmm, I I think I want to help more people make changes.
00:11:25.710 --> 00:11:28.350
Oh my gosh, I'm so grateful that you did that.
00:11:28.590 --> 00:11:34.990
I myself suffered with chronic ear infections all through my childhood because everyone around me smoked.
00:11:35.069 --> 00:11:39.149
It was the 70s and 80s, and like that's just what everyone did.
00:11:39.309 --> 00:11:44.669
And I was on antibiotics all the time, and I had gut issues always.
00:11:44.990 --> 00:11:49.870
So bravo to you for doing that and just planting those seeds.
00:11:49.949 --> 00:11:51.230
That's so important.
00:11:51.710 --> 00:11:53.389
Okay, let's dive in.
00:11:53.549 --> 00:11:55.629
We just had an episode a few weeks ago with Dr.
00:11:55.710 --> 00:11:56.909
Amy Horneman.
00:11:56.990 --> 00:12:08.750
She was talking a lot about the thyroid and T3 and 4 thyroid hormone and lab values and all of that stuff, but we really didn't dive into Hashimoto's.
00:12:08.909 --> 00:12:17.629
So I would love for you to just explain to the listeners what is Hashimoto's and how is it different from hypothyroidism?
00:12:17.710 --> 00:12:19.710
How does it cause hypothyroidism?
00:12:19.870 --> 00:12:22.029
All the things that women need to know.
00:12:22.429 --> 00:12:24.590
Yeah, so Hashimoto's is two things.
00:12:24.750 --> 00:12:28.990
It's one, it's an autoimmune condition, and that's the primary thing it is.
00:12:29.149 --> 00:12:34.189
And then every autoimmune condition is named after what it attacks in the body.
00:12:34.350 --> 00:12:37.629
And so Hashimoto's your body is attacking your thyroid.
00:12:37.710 --> 00:12:42.269
So it usually causes hypothyroid, which means your thyroid is not doing enough.
00:12:42.509 --> 00:12:54.669
Sometimes it can also cause hyperthyroid symptoms because as your body attacks the thyroid, then your thyroid, like as it's as it's dying, it's releasing a whole bunch of thyroid hormones.
00:12:54.829 --> 00:12:59.549
So it can be very confusing as you can have hyposymptoms and hypersymptoms.
00:12:59.870 --> 00:13:07.870
But because of that autoimmune condition part, like we have to address what it is that causes the autoimmune problem.
00:13:08.110 --> 00:13:13.949
And that is where Western medicine has failed people with any thyroid problems.
00:13:14.110 --> 00:13:14.509
Um, Dr.
00:13:14.590 --> 00:13:32.029
Horneman probably already talked about the fact that, you know, when you have thyroid symptoms, you need to be checking your antibody levels because it is estimated that 90% of people with hypothyroidism have Hashimoto's as a cause of the hypothyroid, but the doctors don't check.
00:13:32.189 --> 00:13:48.429
They just say, here's your medicine, you're gonna be a lifelong pharmaceutical patient, and we're gonna have to adjust your medication as your thyroid dies, then we're gonna have to go up instead of saying, let's address your immune system so that we can prevent some problems and your body can heal.
00:13:49.389 --> 00:13:50.509
Yeah, absolutely.
00:13:50.669 --> 00:13:56.350
So, what does a typical patient present as when she has Hashimoto's?
00:13:56.829 --> 00:14:04.110
Because I know somebody listening right now has never been tested and she is struggling with what you're about to explain.
00:14:04.990 --> 00:14:09.629
Yes, think of your thyroid hormone as the ignition key for every cell.
00:14:09.949 --> 00:14:15.789
So if your cells don't have the ignition key, they can't turn on, which means your body is running slowly.
00:14:16.029 --> 00:14:21.470
And so, what does slow mean for different body systems or organs?
00:14:21.629 --> 00:14:25.710
You know, slow in the brain means depression or brain fog.
00:14:26.029 --> 00:14:30.990
Um, slow in the gut means constipation or problems digesting.
00:14:31.149 --> 00:14:38.750
Uh slow hair skin and nails means that your hair is falling out and it's not growing as much as it used to, and your nails, maybe they're brittle.
00:14:38.909 --> 00:14:46.590
Um, just think of every single hypothyroid symptom is the slowing down of something.
00:14:46.829 --> 00:14:48.750
And so it affects everything.
00:14:48.909 --> 00:15:02.750
But because every single person is individual, how one person experiences that slowing down, it might look completely different from somebody else because it's what your body is, you know, devoting the keys to.
00:15:02.829 --> 00:15:04.990
It only has a set number of ignition keys.
00:15:05.149 --> 00:15:08.110
So where is that gonna go and what's gonna suffer in your body?
00:15:08.189 --> 00:15:09.949
It might look different than your friend's body.
00:15:10.590 --> 00:15:10.909
Yeah.
00:15:11.149 --> 00:15:22.189
I love that you mentioned depression because absolutely when your thyroid is not functioning well, you're not making your new neurotransmitters as well.
00:15:22.350 --> 00:15:30.909
Your brain is not firing on all cylinders, and that brain fog can actually feel like low mood and depression.
00:15:31.149 --> 00:15:40.509
And as you're explaining all of this, I'm just thinking about how it takes women not months, but often years, to get diagnosed.
00:15:40.750 --> 00:15:55.789
So this slow gut motility, this constipation and improper digestion continues on, which leads to bacterial overgrowth and yeast overgrowth and vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
00:15:55.870 --> 00:16:08.829
And like by the time you get diagnosed, you have all of these other sequelae, all of these other medical problems that have ensued because the thyroid never got managed and addressed.
00:16:08.990 --> 00:16:12.029
And so the picture can get really complicated.
00:16:12.189 --> 00:16:28.429
I just wanted to point that out because I've I think that sometimes we see patients, they have dealt with that those feelings of depression and sluggishness and constipation so long they have told themselves it's normal.
00:16:28.590 --> 00:16:30.669
And that is just how life is.
00:16:30.829 --> 00:16:47.389
And it's not until they get like a SIBO exposure, you know, they have like such bad bacterial overgrowth that they're just constantly burping and gassing and all of these things, and that is what actually gets them to the doctor and gets the diagnosis.
00:16:47.629 --> 00:16:53.629
When you say that's the kind of stuff that we see at with a lot of women, yeah, that's exactly what we see.
00:16:53.789 --> 00:16:58.590
And they're just they think they just keep kind of raising the bar of like what feels normal.
00:16:58.669 --> 00:17:03.389
Yeah or really it's really the opposite, they're lowering the bar, but they just are like, Oh, that feels fine.
00:17:03.470 --> 00:17:04.110
That feels fine.
00:17:04.190 --> 00:17:05.950
Like, oh, I haven't gone to the bathroom in four days.
00:17:06.110 --> 00:17:07.309
Like, that's just normal.
00:17:07.549 --> 00:17:09.470
And more and more people are doing it.
00:17:09.630 --> 00:17:13.309
So if you tell your friends and they're like, Oh, I haven't gone to the bathroom in three days either.
00:17:13.549 --> 00:17:14.350
Right, exactly.
00:17:14.750 --> 00:17:18.990
So we're all tired together, we're all exhausted together, exactly.
00:17:19.230 --> 00:17:25.870
And so I am here to say, like, you don't give in, don't put up with that anymore.
00:17:26.029 --> 00:17:26.269
Yeah.
00:17:26.509 --> 00:17:29.630
And like, there is hope and there is healing.
00:17:29.710 --> 00:17:45.309
So I want to dive in, Esther, and talk about the fact that when a conventional provider says, Oh, you have Hashimoto's, you know, your your antibodies are elevated, here's your thyroid medication, good luck.
00:17:45.549 --> 00:17:47.390
What do you say to them?
00:17:48.670 --> 00:17:50.509
I say, There's so much more you can do.
00:17:50.829 --> 00:17:55.230
I mean, your doctor just handed you essentially a life sentence without any hope.
00:17:55.390 --> 00:17:55.630
Yeah.
00:17:55.950 --> 00:17:58.829
But there is so much you can do as an individual.
00:17:58.990 --> 00:18:03.309
And the first thing to understand is that there's more to learn.
00:18:04.029 --> 00:18:12.910
As somebody with Hashimoto's, you just got a gift and a job, and that is to become the CEO of your own health.
00:18:13.069 --> 00:18:17.390
You might not have wanted that job, but it's yours.
00:18:17.630 --> 00:18:25.630
And so as the CEO of your own health, you get to now look and say, what do I know about my thyroid?
00:18:25.789 --> 00:18:26.430
What's going on?
00:18:26.590 --> 00:18:28.350
What do I know about my root causes?
00:18:28.509 --> 00:18:32.110
Do I know anything about what's causing this Hashimoto's?
00:18:32.190 --> 00:18:33.150
And what can I do?
00:18:33.230 --> 00:18:34.910
And who do I want on my team?
00:18:35.069 --> 00:18:36.430
Your doctor is on your team.
00:18:36.509 --> 00:18:40.509
You can fire your doctor, you can hire another doctor, but your doctor is part of your healthcare team.
00:18:40.590 --> 00:18:43.710
But they don't call the shots, they don't make that ultimate decision.
00:18:43.789 --> 00:18:46.509
They make recommendations, like even a prescription.
00:18:46.670 --> 00:18:52.590
They say, Here's the prescription, and you have to choose to fill that and take it, which I highly recommend doing.
00:18:52.750 --> 00:18:56.350
Uh your thyroid, your body needs those little ignition keys.
00:18:56.509 --> 00:19:00.750
Accepting that prescription is not accepting failure, it's accepting help.
00:19:00.910 --> 00:19:02.190
So take the medication.
00:19:02.350 --> 00:19:10.589
Don't ever think that I'm saying don't take medication, but you have to dig down and figure out, okay, what are my root causes and what can I do?
00:19:10.829 --> 00:19:17.230
So perhaps like I have a root causes revealed, like mini course that somebody can go through in an hour.
00:19:17.309 --> 00:19:21.230
So maybe they go through that and they say, okay, I have these five root causes.
00:19:21.470 --> 00:19:28.109
So then your next job or your next privilege is to say, okay, this is what's going on in my life.
00:19:28.269 --> 00:19:30.349
This is how much bandwidth I have.
00:19:30.829 --> 00:19:33.470
So this is what I'm choosing to focus on.
00:19:33.549 --> 00:19:36.829
Because you're probably not going to address all five root causes at the same time.
00:19:37.470 --> 00:19:41.470
You only you know what you have bandwidth for.
00:19:41.789 --> 00:19:46.910
So that's your your privilege and your job is to figure out what you're gonna implement.
00:19:47.629 --> 00:19:49.869
Oh, I love how she framed that, isn't it?
00:19:50.190 --> 00:19:50.670
So good.
00:19:50.910 --> 00:19:51.549
That is good.
00:19:51.950 --> 00:19:52.750
Oh my gosh.
00:19:52.990 --> 00:19:53.309
Okay.
00:19:53.869 --> 00:19:59.309
So what do you see most commonly with your clients as being the root cause?
00:20:00.430 --> 00:20:03.470
Out of all of the root causes, I think we all deal with stress.
00:20:04.109 --> 00:20:06.029
That is that is number one.
00:20:06.190 --> 00:20:10.589
And you know, I've done a podcast episode on the five different areas of stress.
00:20:10.670 --> 00:20:17.470
You know, you have physical stress, emotional stress, you have dietary stressors, you have environmental stressors, you have spiritual stressors.
00:20:17.629 --> 00:20:23.230
And so just in that one little, one little bubble of stress, you go in so many different directions.
00:20:23.389 --> 00:20:33.950
Um, and so that is something that I work with every single client to calm down what's causing the stress, but also give somebody resources to respond to stress.
00:20:34.269 --> 00:20:52.269
And the easiest one that I teach is diaphragmatic breathing, which I know you have talked about, you know, breathing with your belly, slowing down, being intentional with your breath, and just helping your body switch from that fight and flight mode to the rest and digest mode, um, even in the midst of stress.
00:20:52.430 --> 00:21:00.910
When I had four kids, you know, four kids under six, whatever they were, getting out of the house and getting into the car was always stressful.
00:21:01.069 --> 00:21:06.349
Figuring out shoes for everybody, making sure everybody was dressed appropriately, getting them buckled into their car seats.
00:21:06.430 --> 00:21:13.150
And I realized for myself that every single time I sat in that driver's seat, I was already like stress sky high.
00:21:13.309 --> 00:21:17.069
And so for myself, I figured, okay, this is a stressful moment.
00:21:17.309 --> 00:21:30.829
I need to build in a trigger so that when I plug in my seatbelt, that is my trigger to take a deep breath, relax my shoulders, relax my jaw, relax my tongue, relax my neck, take another deep breath, and then we can go.
00:21:30.990 --> 00:21:35.789
You know, it was just a small moment where I know that's a stressful situation.
00:21:36.029 --> 00:21:39.549
I can't not get my kids in the car and buckled up.
00:21:39.710 --> 00:21:41.309
Like that's going to happen.
00:21:41.549 --> 00:21:47.470
I can obviously try to lower the stressors by making sure everybody has shoes at the door, but things happen.
00:21:47.629 --> 00:21:55.150
And so it's my responsibility to respond in that stressful situation and lower my body's response to that stress.
00:21:56.029 --> 00:21:57.549
I love that so much.
00:21:57.789 --> 00:22:03.629
It is really important to pull yourself out of that fight or flight as often as possible.
00:22:03.869 --> 00:22:08.029
And I love how you connected it with a habit that you always do.
00:22:08.109 --> 00:22:11.789
Like you buckle your seatbelt, and so that is when you do it.
00:22:11.950 --> 00:22:16.029
Because when you have it stack, that is how you can create new habits.
00:22:16.190 --> 00:22:17.710
I love that we talk about that a lot.
00:22:17.950 --> 00:22:18.349
Me too.
00:22:18.430 --> 00:22:20.509
It kind of reminds me of like when you brush your teeth.
00:22:20.670 --> 00:22:23.789
Like you know, when you have to do it every morning, every night, sometimes in the middle of the day.
00:22:24.029 --> 00:22:26.670
And so you just you gotta add those, those little things in.
00:22:26.750 --> 00:22:27.950
And I think it's okay too.
00:22:28.109 --> 00:22:34.190
Like, I know personally on my desktop computer at home, I have little sticky notes of things to remind myself to do.
00:22:34.349 --> 00:22:38.829
And I think it's okay to put those sticky notes places and remind yourself to literally breathe.
00:22:38.990 --> 00:22:45.069
Like it is okay to breathe and to sit down and eat and like allow yourself to relax.
00:22:45.309 --> 00:22:54.670
Yeah, I would say put it on your fridge because you do need to shift into parasympathetic before you eat, or you're not gonna digest your food properly.
00:22:54.910 --> 00:22:55.549
You really do.
00:22:55.710 --> 00:22:59.230
And we don't give ourselves the time and space to do that.
00:22:59.389 --> 00:23:00.029
Yeah.
00:23:00.750 --> 00:23:05.869
Real quick, I just want to interrupt this conversation for something super important.
00:23:06.829 --> 00:23:17.150
Even though we need to take care of ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and physically, we do have to take care of ourselves at a cellular level.
00:23:17.309 --> 00:23:20.670
And that is why I have my Fast to Face supplement line.
00:23:20.750 --> 00:23:28.829
So let's just take a minute to hear about something that might be the game changer that you need in this season.
00:23:29.309 --> 00:23:33.470
We really need to up-level how we're taking care of our temple.
00:23:33.549 --> 00:23:37.629
I used to treat mine like a garbage can, I will just be honest.
00:23:37.950 --> 00:23:40.509
And I'm not okay with that anymore.
00:23:40.750 --> 00:23:56.509
So this is one of the most important things to me, is that I'm taking high-quality supplements that are actually doing what they say they're doing, and I'm getting my money's worth, and I'm not making my body worse by putting the wrong stuff in it.
00:23:56.589 --> 00:24:05.950
So let's talk about Hormone Tame Essential Multivitamin, because even though it gives you all the vitamins and minerals you need, there's extra goodness in there, isn't there?
00:24:06.589 --> 00:24:08.269
You have a bottle sitting next to you.
00:24:08.829 --> 00:24:10.269
Tell us about Hormone Tame.
00:24:10.509 --> 00:24:12.829
Hormone Tame is five products in one.
00:24:12.990 --> 00:24:21.789
Um, if you listen to the the other episode, one of the things that we talked about is oftentimes, you know, women are just people we're taking a lot of supplements.
00:24:22.029 --> 00:24:33.869
And the nice thing about a lot of the um supplements that we have here at Fast of Faith is that they're they're just so consolidated, where you could take this and you are basically taking five products.
00:24:34.109 --> 00:24:37.470
So, yes, this is gonna be a multivitamin, but there is so much more.
00:24:37.549 --> 00:24:41.309
We actually kind of refer to it as a multivitamin on um steroids.
00:24:41.549 --> 00:24:45.309
One of the key things that this is gonna be helping is your mitochondria.
00:24:45.629 --> 00:24:52.430
All you need to know is that they are responsible for so many systems and processes in your body.
00:24:52.589 --> 00:24:59.150
The reason that we need supplements is because we're just supplementing areas that we just can't really kind of get with our food.
00:24:59.230 --> 00:25:00.910
So we're filling in those gaps.
00:25:01.150 --> 00:25:06.589
And so hormone tame is inviting the body to just fill in all of those gaps.
00:25:06.750 --> 00:25:07.950
So you got to fill those gaps.
00:25:08.109 --> 00:25:10.670
And hormone tame, it will help to do that.
00:25:12.029 --> 00:25:14.990
Esther, you said spiritual stress.
00:25:15.150 --> 00:25:17.789
I want to talk about this because that you can't Google.
00:25:17.950 --> 00:25:24.109
You can Google gut infections and all the other stuff, and we talk about all these things all the time on the podcast.
00:25:24.430 --> 00:25:33.069
But what the heck is spiritual stress and how does that affect our immune system and our and how our body's functioning?
00:25:34.029 --> 00:25:42.269
Yeah, at the basic level, I believe spiritual stress is when you are not living as you are designed to live.
00:25:42.509 --> 00:25:56.190
Um, and so whatever somebody's beliefs are, I mean, you and I believe in Jesus and that there is one way uh to heaven, there's one way to eternal life, and that is confess your sins and put your faith in Jesus.
00:25:56.269 --> 00:26:05.710
Um, but every single person, regardless if they believe that or not, has a set of beliefs that they feel like they should be doing, like they should be living this way.
00:26:05.950 --> 00:26:13.230
And um, and if you're not living in alignment with what you believe is true, then that is spiritual stress.
00:26:13.389 --> 00:26:20.109
And another aspect of spiritual stress is it's not love versus hate, but love versus fear.
00:26:20.349 --> 00:26:30.910
You're designed to live in peace and in love, and so any time that you are living in fear, that is also a spiritual stressor.
00:26:31.069 --> 00:26:37.470
People think of that as like an emotional thing, and while it is, it is also a spiritual stressor.
00:26:37.710 --> 00:26:44.509
So there's a couple different things that we can talk about in spiritual stress, and people tend to like put it in different categories.
00:26:44.670 --> 00:26:50.269
Um, but if you're not living with as you believe that you should be living, that's a spiritual stressor.
00:26:50.509 --> 00:26:59.710
And if and if you're afraid, like deep anxiety or surface level fear, it's all a spiritual stressor.
00:27:00.029 --> 00:27:03.789
Oh, I am thinking of so many patients and clients right now.
00:27:04.029 --> 00:27:06.990
That is their number one issue.
00:27:07.150 --> 00:27:23.789
That is what's keeping them sick, that's what's keeping them stuck, is they are afraid to deal with the fact that they hate their job or their marriage is toxic, or that they haven't spoken to their child in two years.
00:27:24.430 --> 00:27:30.269
Um, or they just are not living as God designed them to live.
00:27:30.349 --> 00:27:32.670
They're not doing what they're called to do.
00:27:32.990 --> 00:27:39.309
Well, they're literally living in fear and worrying about tomorrow so much instead of relishing in the fact that we have today.
00:27:39.629 --> 00:27:39.950
Yeah.
00:27:40.109 --> 00:27:44.269
And let's just call out the fact that that's really easy to do.
00:27:44.430 --> 00:27:45.789
You and I do it all the time.
00:27:45.869 --> 00:27:50.829
And we have to check each other and check ourselves like, hey, I think you're spiraling again.
00:27:50.990 --> 00:27:54.349
I think you're like freaking out and and stressed about stuff.
00:27:54.430 --> 00:27:55.710
You don't need to be stressed out.
00:27:55.789 --> 00:27:59.710
We need to hand that over, put it at the foot of Jesus, you know?
00:28:00.029 --> 00:28:03.710
And that's normal as human beings, right?
00:28:03.869 --> 00:28:06.430
So don't even feel bad about that.
00:28:06.589 --> 00:28:13.629
That's just our normal daily struggle, but I promise you it's making you sick, right, Esther?
00:28:13.950 --> 00:28:14.349
Yeah.
00:28:14.509 --> 00:28:14.910
Yep.
00:28:15.069 --> 00:28:23.629
I mean, it's one of the root causes of any illness, not just autoimmune problems, but you are designed to function a certain way.
00:28:23.710 --> 00:28:27.869
And if you're not living that way, they're not functioning optimally.
00:28:28.430 --> 00:28:31.230
So, how do you even coach women through that?
00:28:31.710 --> 00:28:34.190
How do they even begin to tackle that?
00:28:34.750 --> 00:28:36.670
Sometimes they don't, quite honestly.
00:28:36.910 --> 00:28:42.589
They want to focus on other things, things that they feel like they have more control over, like their diet.
00:28:43.069 --> 00:28:55.710
Um, you know, facing our fears and facing living in alignment with what we believe, that it it feels out there, it feels a little scarier, a little harder.
00:28:55.869 --> 00:28:57.789
And so some people just don't.
00:28:58.029 --> 00:29:00.349
They're like, I nope, I don't want to go there.
00:29:00.430 --> 00:29:04.509
You said you said there's eight root causes, and you said there's body, mind, spirit, diet, environment.
00:29:04.589 --> 00:29:07.150
Let's do all of the other things, not spirit.
00:29:08.029 --> 00:29:08.589
Yes.
00:29:08.829 --> 00:29:15.069
And and at Fast of Faith, we just encourage women, just have a conversation with Jesus.
00:29:15.230 --> 00:29:22.430
Even if you don't know that, I don't know if Jesus is my savior, I don't know if I believe that he's God.
00:29:22.829 --> 00:29:30.430
I would still recommend you have a conversation with him because you would be shocked, like what comes out of that.
00:29:30.509 --> 00:29:35.950
And tell him you're angry, tell them you're disappointed, tell them you're confused or frustrated, whatever it is.
00:29:36.109 --> 00:29:42.269
Like get real about how you're feeling and what you don't understand and what your struggle is.
00:29:42.750 --> 00:29:50.190
And we see women do this while journaling, and they have so much revelation.
00:29:50.269 --> 00:29:55.629
And God starts to talk to them, and they're like, why hasn't God ever talked to me before?
00:29:55.789 --> 00:29:58.750
Uh, because you never got still and asked.
00:29:58.910 --> 00:30:04.190
Like, I've just had this vision all week of God being like an excited little puppy.
00:30:04.349 --> 00:30:09.869
He is just wanting your attention, he's waiting for you to like pet him and talk to him and run around with him.
00:30:10.430 --> 00:30:11.950
Slow down and acknowledge him.
00:30:12.349 --> 00:30:14.029
Yeah, just acknowledge him.
00:30:14.269 --> 00:30:19.150
And he wants to love you and guide you and direct you on a better path.
00:30:19.309 --> 00:30:21.950
Like, he doesn't want you to be in the pit.
00:30:22.109 --> 00:30:30.670
A lot of that is self-induced, unfortunately, and we don't recognize that because we're all doing it together, right?
00:30:31.150 --> 00:30:33.470
Well, and you get stuck in that negative headspace too.
00:30:33.629 --> 00:30:40.349
I think we really have to focus on gratitude and what is going right in your life and focusing on that as well as the negative.
00:30:40.430 --> 00:30:48.670
And so if you're constantly surrounding yourself by people who are focusing on the negative and never the positive, you just get stuck in that rabbit hole with them.
00:30:48.829 --> 00:30:56.349
And so you gotta sometimes be the one that is crazy and is like, listen, guys, I know we all got a lot going on, but let's what do we have going on that's good?
00:30:56.670 --> 00:31:07.629
And eventually you're gonna just be around other people who are positive because those negative people will just fall away or they'll change and you'll be the game changer in your little sisterhood group.
00:31:07.710 --> 00:31:12.670
But it's not easy to be the first one to step out and be like, we're gonna change the mindset here.
00:31:12.910 --> 00:31:15.230
Because you do, you people look at you like you're crazy.
00:31:15.549 --> 00:31:17.869
Well, yeah, and Esther led with this.
00:31:17.950 --> 00:31:19.549
It starts with your language.
00:31:19.710 --> 00:31:21.549
Like, I get to do this.
00:31:21.710 --> 00:31:28.269
This is actually a gift that I now have a diagnosis, and I I get to take care of myself.
00:31:28.829 --> 00:31:35.549
So if you can reframe it with an attitude of gratitude, you're already conquering it, right?
00:31:36.269 --> 00:31:37.549
Yeah, yeah, yep.
00:31:38.029 --> 00:31:38.430
So good.
00:31:38.670 --> 00:31:41.309
And like Ashley said, learn to look for the gratitude.
00:31:41.470 --> 00:31:43.150
Gratitude journaling is huge.
00:31:43.470 --> 00:31:46.349
And if you know if you need help, you can Google it.
00:31:46.509 --> 00:31:49.470
Or you can read, I think, is it a million miracles?
00:31:49.629 --> 00:32:04.750
There's a really short book, and it teaches you to look all around you and see the just like the miracle of taking a breath, like what's happening on a level to make that breath happen, or you go outside, what what miracle is happening to make that grass grow?
00:32:04.910 --> 00:32:07.710
Like you can you can get small and you can look.
00:32:07.789 --> 00:32:11.309
Oh my goodness, there's so many blessings, so many miracles all around us.
00:32:11.549 --> 00:32:13.069
We just have to take time to look.
00:32:13.389 --> 00:32:14.990
Yeah, and time, again.
00:32:15.069 --> 00:32:18.829
It's we just we literally are just like poof, we just let everything blow by.
00:32:22.750 --> 00:32:24.269
Like, I know.
00:32:25.710 --> 00:32:33.789
That action of like paying attention to the present moment is actually how you get yourself or someone out of a panic attack.
00:32:33.950 --> 00:32:54.670
So if you have anxiety to the level that you are hyperventilating, your heart is racing, you're physically feeling that anxiety of a panic attack, it is because you are worrying about something in the future that hasn't happened, and the solution is to pay attention to the present.
00:32:54.910 --> 00:32:55.789
What do I see?
00:32:55.950 --> 00:32:56.829
What do I smell?
00:32:56.990 --> 00:32:57.869
What can I feel?
00:32:58.029 --> 00:32:58.990
What can I hear?
00:32:59.230 --> 00:33:07.789
And you get oriented back to the present moment and get into that attitude of gratitude, your body will shift out of that panic attack.
00:33:07.950 --> 00:33:14.829
And so it's like we need to do this on a micro level as soon as the anxiety starts.
00:33:14.990 --> 00:33:17.950
Don't wait until you've reached that breaking point.
00:33:18.029 --> 00:33:27.549
And so if you do it every day, you won't go into crazy anxiety and panic, hopefully, unless there's a medical issue going on, obviously.
00:33:27.789 --> 00:33:30.990
But so much of this is controllable.
00:33:31.309 --> 00:33:39.869
And I want you to be encouraged that we have way more control over our body than our doctors make us think that we do, right?
00:33:40.109 --> 00:34:00.430
So let's talk about some physical things that we can do because um there's some basic misinformation going on out there, like the sun is bad, and you should uh lather up with sunscreen and avoid it at all costs because it's gonna give you cancer and kill you.
00:34:00.589 --> 00:34:05.230
Like, please share with my listeners why that's a lie and why we need the sun.
00:34:06.990 --> 00:34:16.670
Oh man, we could do like 10 episodes on the benefits of sun and of light and of the different spectrums of light or the different, you know, colors of light.
00:34:16.829 --> 00:34:25.470
And I'm sure everybody who is listening to a podcast has probably listened to other episodes about, you know, red light therapy or blocking the blue rays at night.
00:34:25.630 --> 00:34:28.829
You know, we've heard little bits and pieces of different colors.
00:34:28.910 --> 00:34:30.750
Um, but what about the sun in general?
00:34:30.910 --> 00:34:34.910
Like just getting outside in the sun as soon as you can in the morning.
00:34:35.150 --> 00:34:37.869
It changes your hormones, it changes your health.
00:34:38.110 --> 00:34:40.190
There are so many benefits.
00:34:40.349 --> 00:34:45.470
And, you know, getting outside in the middle of the day, that's been vilified, I feel like the most.
00:34:45.789 --> 00:34:49.789
But that's when your body does the most vitamin D production from the sun exposure.
00:34:49.950 --> 00:34:57.309
And vitamin D, low vitamin D levels, are a root cause of autoimmune disease, all autoimmune diseases.
00:34:57.550 --> 00:35:03.309
Back when I was in, I think I was in nursing school, so this was in like the early 2000s.
00:35:03.550 --> 00:35:12.349
Even at that time, we knew that um the majority of people with MS grew up in an area where there was not vitamin D.
00:35:12.510 --> 00:35:15.070
Like there was like lines, you know, on the equator.
00:35:15.230 --> 00:35:21.070
Like if you grew up north or south of this line, you had more of a chance at MS.
00:35:21.230 --> 00:35:23.070
And they're like, that was vitamin D.
00:35:23.150 --> 00:35:24.030
That was the sun.
00:35:24.590 --> 00:35:27.710
There are so many things that the sun does for us.
00:35:27.869 --> 00:35:30.430
And then, you know, you take little bits, okay?
00:35:30.590 --> 00:35:33.309
One thing that the sun does is help us produce vitamin D.
00:35:33.470 --> 00:35:36.910
There are so many things that vitamin D does for us.
00:35:37.070 --> 00:35:47.950
Like, God has just given us so many gifts, and the sun, sunlight, exposure to the sun is just one of those many, many gifts, and it impacts your health every single day.
00:35:48.269 --> 00:35:49.309
And your mindset.
00:35:49.630 --> 00:35:50.670
Oh, and your mindset.
00:35:51.070 --> 00:35:56.190
I feel like when the sun is out, I have so much life and energy and things that I want to do.
00:35:56.510 --> 00:35:58.349
Yeah, and it's gray, you're depressed.
00:35:58.510 --> 00:36:02.190
But literally, I didn't see the sun for like four years during residency.
00:36:02.349 --> 00:36:06.910
I lived in that hospital, and if I wasn't there, I was in my bed sleeping at home.
00:36:07.070 --> 00:36:08.190
I never saw the sun.
00:36:08.269 --> 00:36:09.950
I never took vacations.
00:36:10.430 --> 00:36:13.630
That was when my Hashimoto's was the worst.
00:36:13.789 --> 00:36:14.989
It was so out of control.
00:36:15.150 --> 00:36:18.829
My antibodies were over a thousand, like they just didn't register.
00:36:18.909 --> 00:36:22.110
They were just guessing you weren't taking a vitamin D something.
00:36:22.429 --> 00:36:27.630
No, my vitamin D was like, I don't know, 11 or 15.
00:36:27.789 --> 00:36:30.829
It was something ridiculous in the teens.
00:36:31.070 --> 00:36:40.349
And like under 30, you are so susceptible to disease and getting sick and not being able to fight that off.
00:36:40.590 --> 00:36:46.829
So share with everybody why vitamin D is important for your thyroid health.
00:36:47.710 --> 00:36:56.509
It's vitamin D is responsible for like 300 at least different things in your immune system, which is so many.
00:36:56.829 --> 00:37:02.349
So just overall, I think, you know, if somebody's listening, they're like, I don't want to learn 300 things.
00:37:02.509 --> 00:37:08.190
Just know that vitamin D helps your body do what your body is supposed to do, it helps it function correctly.
00:37:08.349 --> 00:37:10.269
And vitamin D is a hormone.
00:37:10.509 --> 00:37:13.230
So, you know, let's talk about all of the hormones.
00:37:13.389 --> 00:37:15.949
We want everything to be in balance.
00:37:16.110 --> 00:37:18.590
We want everything to work as God intended.
00:37:18.829 --> 00:37:28.110
And vitamin D, whether sun exposure or supplementation, if you're not getting out in the sun, um, it just helps your body do what your body is supposed to do, including your immune system.
00:37:28.750 --> 00:37:30.030
We'll just keep it simple.
00:37:30.349 --> 00:37:31.550
Yeah, exactly.
00:37:31.789 --> 00:37:35.949
So you need to have a vitamin D level up above 60.
00:37:36.110 --> 00:37:40.429
60 to 80 is where I find women function best.
00:37:40.590 --> 00:37:43.150
Um, there's, you know, different camps on that.
00:37:43.389 --> 00:37:47.869
But once you start getting down below 50 or 40, you're gonna struggle.
00:37:48.030 --> 00:37:52.030
Your disease is not going to go into remission.
00:37:52.190 --> 00:37:57.230
You're not gonna feel well mentally, you're gonna struggle with recurrent infections.
00:37:57.469 --> 00:38:10.829
So that is why we made our vitamin D supplement because we're going out covered in sunscreen, not getting enough of it if we are going out, and we're afraid of the sun.
00:38:11.070 --> 00:38:14.829
And even our makeup products now cover that up.
00:38:14.989 --> 00:38:19.070
And so you can't make vitamin D if you have sunscreen on.
00:38:19.309 --> 00:38:23.550
So I just want to encourage you to check, get your levels checked.
00:38:23.630 --> 00:38:26.750
Your doctor hopefully will order that for you.
00:38:27.070 --> 00:38:43.230
But um by and large, if you are not out in the sun on a regular basis without sunscreen, you probably have vitamin D deficiency, and you probably need at least 1,000 to 5,000 IUs every single day.
00:38:43.389 --> 00:38:51.630
If you're really depleted, you're down in the 20s, 30s or so, you probably need 5,000 to 10,000 IUs a day, right?
00:38:51.869 --> 00:39:01.309
So I just want to quickly share that we do have D3K2 lift at shop.fastafate.com.
00:39:01.469 --> 00:39:06.989
And this product is so awesome because it's an MCT oil.
00:39:07.230 --> 00:39:13.710
It's a fat-soluble vitamin and therefore it needs to be in fat to be absorbed into our body.
00:39:13.789 --> 00:39:20.030
And I love the liquid version because you can just absorb it right into the bloodstream inside your mouth.
00:39:20.190 --> 00:39:23.869
You don't have to rely on your digestive tract, on your stomach.
00:39:24.030 --> 00:39:41.309
So it's a high potency D3 with K2 as MK7 because that helps your body deliver your calcium to your bones and to the hard areas that you want it, not to your soft tissue areas like cardiovascular system.
00:39:41.630 --> 00:39:49.389
And it's essential for thyroid health, for bone health, for immune health, for your cardiovascular system, all the things.
00:39:49.630 --> 00:39:54.429
So I would love to just extend a 20% off offer.
00:39:54.590 --> 00:40:03.469
If you have never tried that, go to shop.fastfaith.com, use the code podcast, it will be your favorite vitamin D supplement.
00:40:03.550 --> 00:40:08.110
It's so easy to take, it has no flavor, like it's it's so easy.
00:40:08.269 --> 00:40:13.389
So thank you for letting me share that, Esther, because people don't need to suffer, right?
00:40:13.710 --> 00:40:15.070
No, they don't need to suffer.
00:40:15.230 --> 00:40:17.949
And and it's one of the easiest things to fix, too.
00:40:18.110 --> 00:40:23.630
Once you know your vitamin D number, and if your doctor hasn't ordered it, that's one that you can get online.
00:40:23.949 --> 00:40:26.989
You can, I think I had ordered the first time like through the mail.
00:40:27.150 --> 00:40:36.750
I got a little kit in the mail, poked my finger, drops of blood on a little card, mailed it back in, and then you know, a couple days later, there was my number in my email.
00:40:36.909 --> 00:40:40.269
And then all you have to do is dose your supplement accordingly.
00:40:40.429 --> 00:40:43.230
It's so simple to fix that root cause.
00:40:43.389 --> 00:40:52.269
If you're gonna look at, you know, a dietary root cause, that's gonna take, you know, some overhaul and some work and some investment of your time and your energy and your money.
00:40:52.429 --> 00:40:58.269
Vitamin D, it's like a simple lab test, and then you take a supplement every day and you get out in the sun when you can.
00:40:58.429 --> 00:41:00.590
It's so simple and so easy to correct.
00:41:00.829 --> 00:41:01.789
Yeah, exactly.
00:41:02.030 --> 00:41:02.989
Oh my gosh.
00:41:03.309 --> 00:41:08.349
Well, Esther, this conversation was exactly what our community needed.
00:41:08.509 --> 00:41:09.630
So thank you.
00:41:09.789 --> 00:41:16.030
Um, where can our listeners find you, connect with you, and grab your free thyroid question guide?
00:41:16.110 --> 00:41:17.789
Tell us about that too.
00:41:18.190 --> 00:41:24.829
Yeah, that question guide was something I think we all create from what we needed, and it was definitely something that I needed.
00:41:24.909 --> 00:41:27.309
It is 10 questions to ask your doctor.
00:41:27.550 --> 00:41:33.630
And at the end of that PDF, there's a one-page printable that has all 10 questions on it with space to write your notes.
00:41:33.869 --> 00:41:39.550
You just take that to your next doctor visit, and you can get some real answers if your doctor knows.
00:41:39.710 --> 00:41:42.590
Because some of the questions your doctor might not have an answer to.
00:41:42.670 --> 00:41:44.030
Um, and that's fine.
00:41:44.190 --> 00:41:48.909
That just tells you it's time to dig deeper and get some other people on your team.
00:41:49.150 --> 00:41:53.150
But the best place to find me is somebody's already listening to this podcast.
00:41:53.309 --> 00:42:00.030
So um, you know, after this episode is done, search for the Health with Hashimoto's podcast and listen to one of those episodes next.
00:42:00.190 --> 00:42:06.590
And then health with Hashimoto's.com is where you can find everything, including that freebie, that 10 questions for your doctor.
00:42:07.230 --> 00:42:12.269
Okay, ladies, I want to leave you with Isaiah 4031 today.
00:42:12.349 --> 00:42:25.550
I think this goes along great with the conversation we had with Esther because the Lord wants you to have hope and He is going to renew your strength if you if you search him out.
00:42:25.710 --> 00:42:28.909
So go and meditate on Isaiah 4031.
00:42:29.070 --> 00:42:38.909
If you've never opened a Bible, just Google it or just you know, write down what I'm going to read and just meditate on it.
00:42:39.070 --> 00:42:45.949
Meaning, think about the words and ask God, what are you trying to say to me in this verse today?
00:42:46.110 --> 00:42:47.469
And you would be surprised.
00:42:47.630 --> 00:42:49.389
I think you're gonna get a revelation.
00:42:49.550 --> 00:42:51.869
So let me just read this really quick.
00:42:52.349 --> 00:43:04.909
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
00:43:05.869 --> 00:43:07.949
That hope is for you, ladies.
00:43:08.110 --> 00:43:10.349
They is you, that is us.
00:43:10.670 --> 00:43:12.429
God is speaking to us.
00:43:12.670 --> 00:43:17.630
The Bible is living and active, it is the nourishing word of God.
00:43:18.190 --> 00:43:30.349
I would invite you to invite him into your journey because he is the true healer, he is the true physician, and he wants you to overcome this and live an amazing life.
00:43:30.509 --> 00:43:38.590
John 10:10 says that Jesus came to give you life, life abundantly, here now on this earth, not in the afterlife.
00:43:38.670 --> 00:43:40.750
Yes, that's gonna happen, but right now.
00:43:40.989 --> 00:43:44.030
So there's no reason to struggle anymore.
00:43:44.269 --> 00:43:48.509
Thank you, Esther, for giving us hope and for this awesome conversation.
00:43:48.989 --> 00:43:49.630
Oh, thank you.
00:43:49.710 --> 00:43:51.150
It's been an honor to be here.
00:43:51.710 --> 00:43:52.670
Thanks, Ashley.
00:43:52.829 --> 00:43:53.150
Thank you.
00:43:53.230 --> 00:43:54.750
Have a good week, ladies.
00:43:59.630 --> 00:44:04.110
If you like that episode, I have one favor to ask, maybe two.
00:44:04.509 --> 00:44:08.269
