ABOUT THIS EPISODE
We dig into why explant surgery often isn’t the finish line, how biofilms and genetics drive lingering symptoms, and what a structured plan can do to restore energy, hormones, and peace of mind. We share the SHARP method, smarter detox, and faith-forward mindset shifts that help healing last.
• defining breast implant illness and systemic symptoms
• biofilms, oxidative stress, and oxylipin markers
• sauna, leaching, and when “detox” backfires
• why full capsulectomy matters for recovery
• genetics of detox and the one‑third who struggle
• testing for toxins, mold, glyphosate, and metals
• gut health, food triggers, and mitochondrial support
• fat transfer expectations, DEXA, and training choices
• emotional and spiritual self‑work for lasting healing

00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:05.519
And if you don't believe that you can heal or get well, you just actually will not heal and get well.
00:00:05.599 --> 00:00:06.639
That is the truth of it.
00:00:06.799 --> 00:00:08.960
Your mind will win every time.
00:00:14.320 --> 00:00:23.760
If you're tired of doing all the right things and still feeling exhausted, stuck in your body, and disconnected from God, this podcast is for you.
00:00:24.000 --> 00:00:24.559
I'm Dr.
00:00:24.640 --> 00:00:33.359
Tabitha, triple board certified functional medicine physician, and I help women stop fighting their bodies and start healing them God's way.
00:00:33.679 --> 00:00:36.479
This isn't about another diet or quick fix.
00:00:36.640 --> 00:00:44.640
This is about restoring your energy, your confidence, and your faith through fasting, functional medicine, and biblical truth.
00:00:44.799 --> 00:00:48.320
Welcome to Fast of Faith, where you don't just lose weight and feel great.
00:00:48.399 --> 00:00:51.119
You step into who God created you to be.
00:00:51.280 --> 00:00:52.880
So let's get into it.
00:00:57.920 --> 00:01:06.400
Welcome back to the Fast of Faith podcast, where we talk about healing the body by honoring the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.
00:01:06.719 --> 00:01:07.519
Hello, Dr.
00:01:07.680 --> 00:01:08.319
Tabitha.
00:01:08.400 --> 00:01:09.040
How are you today?
00:01:09.280 --> 00:01:10.239
I'm pretty awesome.
00:01:10.400 --> 00:01:11.519
It's actually my birthday.
00:01:11.680 --> 00:01:13.200
So happy birthday to me.
00:01:14.239 --> 00:01:15.760
Everybody's saying to me before.
00:01:16.000 --> 00:01:16.319
Yeah.
00:01:16.560 --> 00:01:20.879
When everyone sees this, it won't be your birthday anymore, but people will be talking about her birthday.
00:01:21.040 --> 00:01:22.319
I see what she did there.
00:01:22.480 --> 00:01:23.120
I love it.
00:01:23.359 --> 00:01:30.239
Well, I'm actually excited for today's conversation because I lived in shame around this topic for many years.
00:01:30.480 --> 00:01:33.040
And so I believe it's an important conversation.
00:01:33.120 --> 00:01:36.560
And then we were just talking to our guest before we got recording.
00:01:36.719 --> 00:01:42.799
And he was saying how he is getting shadow banned on YouTube because of this topic.
00:01:43.040 --> 00:01:44.640
And I'm not okay with that.
00:01:44.799 --> 00:01:47.359
Like there is a real agenda going on.
00:01:47.599 --> 00:01:54.000
And the what it comes down to is women need to know their bodies and understand the truth of what's happening to them.
00:01:54.239 --> 00:01:57.040
And so stick around for this conversation.
00:01:57.280 --> 00:02:05.040
Whether you have had breast implants yourself, you know a woman who has, or maybe you don't even have somebody in your life.
00:02:05.280 --> 00:02:10.639
But the fact is that things get done to us by the medical system.
00:02:10.879 --> 00:02:16.560
Of course, we sign up for it, we ask for it, but there is not full informed consent going on.
00:02:16.719 --> 00:02:23.039
There is not a full understanding of long-term sequelae when you have procedures done and different things.
00:02:23.120 --> 00:02:30.400
And so this conversation is essential just for us as consumers of the medical system, right?
00:02:30.960 --> 00:02:33.280
So let me sing Dr.
00:02:33.360 --> 00:02:37.120
Whitfield's praises really quickly before we bring him on.
00:02:37.199 --> 00:02:37.680
So Dr.
00:02:37.759 --> 00:02:40.960
Robert Whitfield is a board-certified plastic surgeon.
00:02:41.039 --> 00:02:48.080
He's widely recognized as the leading expert in breast implant illness and explant surgery in the United States.
00:02:48.319 --> 00:03:01.520
He has dedicated his practice to helping women navigate breast implant illness and now what's being referred to as systemic symptoms associated with breast implants or SSBI.
00:03:01.840 --> 00:03:07.680
And this is really important, you guys, because sometimes just taking them out isn't the solution.
00:03:08.319 --> 00:03:16.400
If you've been watching this podcast for a few years, you know root cause resolution takes some digging and everything's connected.
00:03:16.639 --> 00:03:22.159
So if you want to hear about breast implant illness, go back to episode 241.
00:03:22.479 --> 00:03:22.879
Dr.
00:03:22.960 --> 00:03:30.000
Robert was a guest and we talked about that, you know, what is breast implant illness and how is it addressed surgically?
00:03:30.159 --> 00:03:39.680
But today he is back because he is going to talk about this sequelae that continues on and he has created the Sharp method.
00:03:39.919 --> 00:03:48.879
It is a structured framework that actually looks at the biological and psychological factors that influence long-term healing.
00:03:49.039 --> 00:03:57.520
This is so pivotal, you guys, because we're talking about this recovery process that doesn't necessarily happen afterward.
00:03:57.599 --> 00:04:05.280
And we've had the honor and pleasure of helping some of his patients navigate after their surgery with hormone replacement therapy.
00:04:05.439 --> 00:04:10.000
And so we get to see all the good work that his method has done for women.
00:04:10.080 --> 00:04:12.479
And it's absolutely inspiring.
00:04:12.560 --> 00:04:14.000
And I'm so grateful for you.
00:04:14.159 --> 00:04:15.280
So welcome, Dr.
00:04:15.360 --> 00:04:16.079
Whitfield.
00:04:16.160 --> 00:04:17.439
Let's get into it.
00:04:17.920 --> 00:04:19.040
Well, thank you for having me.
00:04:19.199 --> 00:04:20.079
It's so fun to be back.
00:04:20.240 --> 00:04:21.040
Happy birthday.
00:04:21.279 --> 00:04:22.000
Oh, thank you.
00:04:22.079 --> 00:04:22.560
Thank you.
00:04:22.720 --> 00:04:23.279
Yeah.
00:04:23.519 --> 00:04:29.199
I know it's not necessarily the best conversation for birthday talk, but that's okay.
00:04:29.600 --> 00:04:31.120
It's a needed conversation.
00:04:31.199 --> 00:04:43.360
And I'm excited about this conversation because even though I've heard of breastplant illness, um I don't know that I would think of it being possible, a possible issue if someone already had her implants removed.
00:04:43.519 --> 00:04:48.160
And so I would assume explant surgery is the finish line if that's not the case.
00:04:48.319 --> 00:04:53.839
And then is it true that the studies show one in four women continue to struggle long term?
00:04:55.360 --> 00:05:00.560
Yeah, so let's uh I'll go back a little bit uh from the episode I believe she says 241.
00:05:00.639 --> 00:05:02.399
I talked a little bit about breast implant illness.
00:05:02.480 --> 00:05:06.000
So I'll just quickly define that and what is referred to as systemic symptoms.
00:05:06.160 --> 00:05:22.399
So if someone has a device, medical device placed, it could be a hip knee, breast dental implant, cardiac implant, whatever it is, your body reacts to it when it's placed, causes acute inflammation, and then over time you would traditionally form what's called a like a foreign body reaction.
00:05:22.560 --> 00:05:28.480
Giant cells form around it, makes a little collagen sac, that's the scar, and your body just walls it off.
00:05:28.720 --> 00:05:31.439
And so we thought it was just kind of ignored.
00:05:31.680 --> 00:05:35.040
Um, over time, uh we've learned more about that.
00:05:35.120 --> 00:05:49.519
And as I've explanted patients, we published a paper in September of 2024 that showed that in 694 consecutive cases of ex-plants that I did, 29% had bacterial contamination on PCR testing.
00:05:49.839 --> 00:05:55.519
So that's the most sensitive and specific method to determine whether or not something is there or not there.
00:05:55.600 --> 00:06:02.240
It doesn't beyond that give you like a sensitivity pattern to determine an ambiotic therapy or anything.
00:06:02.319 --> 00:06:03.600
It's it's not for that.
00:06:03.680 --> 00:06:06.959
It's to show that something was there.
00:06:07.360 --> 00:06:22.639
And many, many papers now have shown that bacterial contamination, especially bacteria that produce biofilm, biofilms like plaque on your teeth, it can interact with the fatty acid in the breast tissue called oleic acid.
00:06:23.040 --> 00:06:25.519
It causes an oxidative reaction.
00:06:25.839 --> 00:06:35.839
And everybody who's listening, so oxidation, a lot of oxidation, is what uh after exercise, buildup of lactic acid and everything makes us sore.
00:06:36.160 --> 00:06:43.600
So the more you build up oxidative stress, the more your body has to detoxify that and break it down.
00:06:43.920 --> 00:06:56.480
So this is an ongoing signal to the body, and we we believe strongly that that represents why more and more patients have symptoms because this oxidative reaction is happening.
00:06:56.639 --> 00:07:02.959
Now, the byproduct of it is called, in this instance, oxy lipin tinhome.
00:07:03.120 --> 00:07:08.959
So it's a lipin, the the oleic acid is the lipin, the lipid, and it's been oxidized.
00:07:09.199 --> 00:07:12.879
Now there's families of those, but let's just focus on that one.
00:07:12.959 --> 00:07:22.079
That one was shown to be elevated in patients with more symptoms of breast and plant illness or systemic symptoms, whatever we're going to refer to it as.
00:07:22.480 --> 00:07:26.240
So now you have more of a cause and effect relationship.
00:07:26.399 --> 00:07:34.480
So you have bacterial contamination, you have this oxidative type reaction, you have a biomarker you can check, and it's elevated in patients with more symptoms.
00:07:34.720 --> 00:07:40.160
I don't know that we need more substantial evidence than that to understand that that's a problem.
00:07:40.560 --> 00:07:49.600
I've always explained to patients, anybody, cancer or cosmetic, getting a device placed for reconstructive purposes, that it can get infected.
00:07:49.920 --> 00:07:53.120
So I think we would all agree that that's a problem.
00:07:53.279 --> 00:07:54.959
That's a real, you know, problem.
00:07:55.360 --> 00:08:00.639
So the reason then that I do capselectomy in every case is for that reason, right?
00:08:00.800 --> 00:08:07.199
If I didn't do a capsolectomy, then I would just basically, in one out of three patients, be leaving a problem.
00:08:09.279 --> 00:08:19.199
So the other uh issue is say a uh a capsule contracture or a rupture or something where the shell is breaking down.
00:08:19.360 --> 00:08:23.519
So those are very specific instances where the body can react to it.
00:08:23.600 --> 00:08:27.680
And interrupt me if there's something you want to ask about about any of those situations.
00:08:27.839 --> 00:08:31.759
But the way I think about it is you put the device in, the device has a shell.
00:08:32.000 --> 00:08:39.120
Within the shell are a host of chemicals and heavy metals and things like that in the development of that shell.
00:08:39.279 --> 00:08:45.519
Over time, those can come off, and that debris can stick into the patient's scar capsule.
00:08:46.000 --> 00:08:53.840
So each of us is born with a set of receptors called T cell receptors, and they determine our tissue from foreign tissue.
00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:56.240
And that's how you get an immune response.
00:08:56.480 --> 00:09:03.120
So it's not really a big stretch of the imagination to then think, oh, your body recognizes that as foreign.
00:09:03.279 --> 00:09:08.960
So as those little particles come off, your body recognizes that and can react to it.
00:09:09.200 --> 00:09:17.440
So if there's a rupture, if it's breaking down, it's called gel bleed, all these different kinds of uh things can happen.
00:09:17.600 --> 00:09:28.960
I had a patient, Lauren Bostick, who was using a barrel sauna at 200 degrees Fahrenheit routinely, and she was basically causing chemical leaching out of the implant into her system.
00:09:29.200 --> 00:09:30.799
So think of leaching.
00:09:30.879 --> 00:09:35.279
The probably easiest way to think about it is uh the water in a plastic water bottle.
00:09:35.360 --> 00:09:46.559
If it's overheated, the plasticizer, the phthalate, can then leach into the water and you drink it, and then you elevate a phthalate level in yourself, which causes endocrine disruption.
00:09:46.799 --> 00:09:57.039
So there's all sorts of ways to get these things uh in our bodies through exposures, through what we eat, drink, breathe, apply to our skin, or have implanted, if you want to think of it that way.
00:09:57.200 --> 00:10:05.440
So well, you you just blew my mind, Robert, because everybody thinks sauna is so healthy and so essential.
00:10:05.600 --> 00:10:12.799
And you know, we get a lot of women who have autoimmune conditions and they think like, let me just go in the sauna more.
00:10:13.120 --> 00:10:16.639
So, wow, I've never thought about that before.
00:10:16.879 --> 00:10:21.679
Would you recommend women with implants don't even do sauna?
00:10:22.720 --> 00:10:30.480
Yeah, so I got accused of an ethics violation of this because uh Lauren Boslick, my patient and and I said, you know, she was melting her implants.
00:10:30.559 --> 00:10:34.080
When in fact she was not melting them, but she was causing leaching out of the implant.
00:10:34.159 --> 00:10:35.759
That's the proper scientific term.
00:10:35.919 --> 00:10:36.960
So leaching, right?
00:10:37.120 --> 00:10:39.120
Just as we describe with the water bottle.
00:10:39.360 --> 00:10:41.679
So I tell everybody the same thing.
00:10:41.919 --> 00:10:47.840
If you um are feeling bad after a sauna session, then I I think uh Dr.
00:10:47.919 --> 00:10:56.000
Barber and I would agree you're probably having a Herzenheimer type reaction and you should not participate in that and get that you know further checked out.
00:10:56.240 --> 00:10:59.200
So I just tell people to be cautious and listen to themselves.
00:10:59.279 --> 00:11:03.360
Like usually they're far more in tune with what's going on than than I could ever be.
00:11:03.600 --> 00:11:07.279
So I I have everybody just exercise caution with that.
00:11:07.360 --> 00:11:12.639
And if somebody wants to uh have surgery with us, I just have them stop doing sauna.
00:11:12.879 --> 00:11:25.200
And then um, after they're done with a period of uh work with my team uh with detox, then we will re- will reintroduce that depending on what type of surgery they had and how they're doing.
00:11:25.600 --> 00:11:26.000
Wow.
00:11:26.240 --> 00:11:26.559
Okay.
00:11:26.720 --> 00:11:38.399
Well, you just changed everything for me because I did a light therapy session that was like the setting was deep tissue repair, like getting as deep and heavy as possible.
00:11:38.559 --> 00:11:42.720
And I was so wiped out for three days after that, and I have implants.
00:11:43.039 --> 00:11:55.279
So this is like completely registering in my brain and making sense because I couldn't make sense of why I was struggling when I just went through this healing situation or so-called situation.
00:11:55.519 --> 00:11:58.559
So, wow, thank you for that gift today.
00:11:58.799 --> 00:12:00.480
Yeah, that's a great gift.
00:12:01.759 --> 00:12:04.480
Because I tell people about leaching all the time.
00:12:04.960 --> 00:12:09.039
We really need to up-level how we're taking care of our temple.
00:12:09.120 --> 00:12:13.200
I used to treat mine like a garbage can, I will just be honest.
00:12:13.519 --> 00:12:16.080
And I'm not okay with that anymore.
00:12:16.320 --> 00:12:32.080
So this is one of the most important things to me, is that I'm taking high-quality supplements that are actually doing what they say they're doing, and I'm getting my money's worth, and I'm not making my body worse by putting the wrong stuff in it.
00:12:32.159 --> 00:12:41.679
So let's talk about Hormone Tame Essential Multivitamin, because even though it gives you all the vitamins and minerals you need, there's extra goodness in there, isn't there?
00:12:41.759 --> 00:12:43.759
I think you have a bottle sitting next to you.
00:12:44.399 --> 00:12:45.840
Tell us about Hormone Tame.
00:12:46.080 --> 00:12:48.480
Hormone Tame is five products in one.
00:12:48.559 --> 00:12:57.360
Um, if you listen to the the other episode, one of the things that we talked about is oftentimes, you know, women are just people we're taking a lot of supplements.
00:12:57.600 --> 00:13:09.440
And the nice thing about a lot of the um supplements that we have here at Fast of Faith is that they're they're just so consolidated, where you could take this and you are basically taking five products.
00:13:09.679 --> 00:13:13.039
So, yes, this is gonna be a multivitamin, but there is so much more.
00:13:13.120 --> 00:13:16.879
We actually kind of refer to it as a multivitamin on um steroids.
00:13:17.120 --> 00:13:20.879
One of the key things that this is gonna be helping is your mitochondria.
00:13:21.200 --> 00:13:28.000
All you need to know is that they are responsible for so many systems and processes in your body.
00:13:28.159 --> 00:13:34.720
The reason that we need supplements is because we're just supplementing areas that we just can't really kind of get with our food.
00:13:34.799 --> 00:13:36.480
So we're filling in those gaps.
00:13:36.639 --> 00:13:42.080
And so Hormone Tame is inviting the body to just fill in all of those gaps.
00:13:42.240 --> 00:13:46.240
So you gotta fill those gaps, and hormone tame it will help to do that.
00:13:48.720 --> 00:13:56.080
So, what do you think is the biggest thing that women are coming to you that they're not understanding or that you wish they knew?
00:13:58.799 --> 00:14:21.360
Um, I think many times I get patients and they come in different um you know stages of life with different, you know, either problems or or work they've tried to do to to overcome maybe they don't feel well and they don't quite understand that, and they've you know, now Dr.
00:14:21.519 --> 00:14:33.679
Barber, there's a lot of folks seeking functional care, uh holistic care, and they're they're dissatisfied with traditional explanations or lack of explanations about problems.
00:14:33.919 --> 00:14:34.240
Yeah.
00:14:34.720 --> 00:14:37.840
So I get a lot of um fragmented care.
00:14:38.799 --> 00:14:47.919
So they may have seen a nutritionist, they may have seen uh a chiropractor, they may have seen acupuncturist, they may have seen all these different types of folks.
00:14:48.000 --> 00:15:01.360
And I actually had a lady argue with me about uh how her her naturopath was was taking very good care of her and she wanted to continue with her um but have surgery with us.
00:15:01.440 --> 00:15:20.480
And I said, Okay, um then I would just ask the naturopath how many times they've taken care of a patient after surgery for breast and plant illness and problems like you're describing because I would guarantee they haven't taken care of many of them, and this is basically all I do.
00:15:21.519 --> 00:15:38.960
So uh the patients are coming kind of from an informational standpoint is very fragmented, and partly because of what's happening on platforms where I've been almost deplatformed on certain stages that used to be very good to help educate patients.
00:15:39.120 --> 00:15:45.120
Because all the videos I've ever made for anybody are really just about education to help people better understand a problem.
00:15:45.440 --> 00:16:04.480
So the the way to think about it a third of the patients will say that third that was infected, if I just explanted them or removed the devices with the scar tissue and everything went well, they would probably do pretty well.
00:16:05.039 --> 00:16:07.120
Not need a ton of extra care.
00:16:07.200 --> 00:16:19.440
If in fact the caveat is genetically they could detoxify well, like they pick their parents right, they eat right, they have an environment that's less toxic.
00:16:19.759 --> 00:16:22.240
And I know this triggers a bunch of people, I don't give a shit.
00:16:22.399 --> 00:16:28.799
So basically, what you put in your body and what you put on your skin dictates a lot of what I see.
00:16:30.399 --> 00:16:35.840
And the more garbage you use, the more you don't think about what you put in your body, the worse you're gonna feel.
00:16:36.639 --> 00:16:40.000
So you need to be super critical about everything that goes in and on your body.
00:16:41.039 --> 00:16:52.399
And then, you know, in that second group of patients who I I do the removal and all the things, maybe it takes them six, nine months and they're still not feeling quite right.
00:16:53.519 --> 00:16:59.600
And then there's a group, the last group, the group that used to drive me absolutely baddie because I couldn't understand it.
00:16:59.840 --> 00:17:03.919
A year later, they'd come in and they'd be like, I still feel bad.
00:17:04.319 --> 00:17:04.640
Yeah.
00:17:05.599 --> 00:17:08.240
And I was like, Oh my god, what is going on?
00:17:08.400 --> 00:17:10.160
I have no idea what's happening.
00:17:10.400 --> 00:17:15.359
So basically, uh, you know, I've always been curious about genetics.
00:17:15.440 --> 00:17:20.160
And long story short is there's a very specific genetic archetype for this problem.
00:17:20.799 --> 00:17:23.680
You have to have really poor detox pathways genetically.
00:17:24.559 --> 00:17:27.599
Well, I'm that person, so I I understand.
00:17:27.759 --> 00:17:31.039
Like once my inflammation starts, I can't turn it off.
00:17:31.200 --> 00:17:36.160
I can't detox through the liver, I don't glucuronidate, I don't methylate, I don't sulfate.
00:17:36.240 --> 00:17:44.640
So it's like I can really get into this spiral and end up in the pit just trying to work out and exercise and do basic things.
00:17:44.799 --> 00:17:52.720
So I relate to this woman so much, and I want to hear some hope from you today that there is hope for this one-third.
00:17:53.119 --> 00:17:54.000
Well, that's why.
00:17:54.160 --> 00:18:14.960
So the the thing with that group is um, and we submitted another IRB to write a paper um just about the genetics, and compare it to a study done by Eric Topel out in California at the Scripps Clinic on what he called the welderly population, people who lived, I believe, into their seventh, eighth, and ninth decades with no chronic disease.
00:18:15.200 --> 00:18:19.839
So you'd have to think that those people have really good detox pathways.
00:18:20.079 --> 00:18:20.720
Right.
00:18:21.680 --> 00:18:27.039
And they live in, you know, community and they stay active and all those other things that are important, obviously.
00:18:27.200 --> 00:18:35.039
But if you'd have poor detox pathways, I don't, I don't care how great your community is or how well you eat, it's still gonna be a challenge, as you know.
00:18:36.000 --> 00:18:41.279
So that in itself is a huge factor.
00:18:41.440 --> 00:18:47.920
So if you don't have a good glucuronidation pathway, like you mentioned, you have a problem with GSST and GSTP1.
00:18:48.240 --> 00:19:00.079
If you have a poor antioxidant pathway, which means your SOD-2 uh enzyme is gonna be low-level functioning, your methylation pathway, which 36% of the population doesn't methylate.
00:19:00.160 --> 00:19:02.000
Well, I don't, you don't, it's fine.
00:19:02.240 --> 00:19:11.200
And then finally, you know, vitamin D metabolism uh is critical to immune immune health.
00:19:11.440 --> 00:19:20.240
And basically, 83% of our patients on audit have SNPs or mutations in each of those pathways.
00:19:21.839 --> 00:19:25.359
So there is the genetic archetype of the problem.
00:19:25.839 --> 00:19:37.359
And all you do is combine that with where you grew up, what food you ate growing up, what work you did, uh, you know, that gives you basically how you feel.
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:47.200
And then when you get in the sauna and you are at a high temp, like you said, for a period of time, you can't control what's coming out.
00:19:48.640 --> 00:19:48.880
Wow.
00:19:49.200 --> 00:19:52.559
Your body can't, it's not efficient enough to deal with that problem.
00:19:52.880 --> 00:20:01.759
So for you specifically, you would be the person who'd better take a very strong binder before you get into something like that.
00:20:02.079 --> 00:20:02.160
Okay.
00:20:03.519 --> 00:20:05.359
And you shouldn't do long runs.
00:20:05.599 --> 00:20:17.200
And if you feel bad, I I think my clients, and just like you, they're very motivated, very driven, and they will torture themselves to in the hope that they feel better.
00:20:17.519 --> 00:20:18.000
Right.
00:20:18.319 --> 00:20:25.359
I know, and that's what we preach on Fast of Faith is you gotta stop hustling and grinding your way into health.
00:20:25.519 --> 00:20:27.680
Like that's not how you feel better.
00:20:27.839 --> 00:20:30.160
It just like digs the hole deeper.
00:20:30.400 --> 00:20:40.000
So I I hope that every woman on here understands the importance of it, but that it's not everything, that it environment plays a huge part.
00:20:40.079 --> 00:20:44.240
But I would love you to talk about the the bacteria you were talking about.
00:20:44.480 --> 00:20:49.039
This concept is, you know, really interesting.
00:20:49.200 --> 00:20:58.240
There's a biofilm that can be, you know, building up around these implants, and it's a bacterial infestation that's happening.
00:20:58.319 --> 00:21:04.559
Is there any relation to our gut microbiome or our skin microbiome or anything like that?
00:21:04.640 --> 00:21:06.960
Like, how do we tackle these biofilms?
00:21:07.839 --> 00:21:17.519
Yeah, so there's when you look at the studies, there's two bacteria predominantly involved: staph epidermitis and cutie bacterium acnes, which are skin bacteria.
00:21:18.480 --> 00:21:22.720
And, you know, people want to know how this got on their implant.
00:21:23.039 --> 00:21:37.599
And so the the the three ways, the most common ways things happen are if someone were to hand a surgeon in the operating room an implant and that staff member had opened the package and somehow contaminated it.
00:21:38.400 --> 00:21:47.519
The next would be the surgeon somehow contaminates it on placement, either by uh a break in technique or touching the skin or whatever.
00:21:47.599 --> 00:21:52.960
There's all sorts of precautions that make those first two almost nil.
00:21:53.519 --> 00:21:53.920
Right.
00:21:54.160 --> 00:21:54.400
Right?
00:21:54.640 --> 00:21:59.759
Everything's double packaged, everybody changes gloves, there's all these protective ways.
00:22:00.160 --> 00:22:04.559
Is to put a device in to limit skin contact because you don't want to touch the skin.
00:22:04.960 --> 00:22:05.119
Right.
00:22:05.279 --> 00:22:07.920
We used to say in the OR, we do it the same way every time.
00:22:08.000 --> 00:22:09.599
Like we'd all say it as a group.
00:22:10.000 --> 00:22:12.799
Because you you want to keep those procedures intact.
00:22:12.960 --> 00:22:13.279
Absolutely.
00:22:13.680 --> 00:22:13.759
Yeah.
00:22:13.920 --> 00:22:16.559
And the orthopedic surgeons are probably by far the best at this.
00:22:16.640 --> 00:22:28.319
I mean, they wear spacesuits and the draping and all the stuff because they're putting in joints, and that's to save you, you know, uh to keep you so that you're mobile, right?
00:22:28.480 --> 00:22:33.680
Losing the ability to walk uh is is a a terrible consequence.
00:22:33.839 --> 00:22:41.519
So they you they probably are the the most extreme example of that in in in my uh history of working with surgeons.
00:22:41.759 --> 00:22:48.319
So those are two really like low that that's such a low probability.
00:22:49.119 --> 00:22:49.519
Yeah.
00:22:49.839 --> 00:22:55.119
So the third, and this is the one that's probably a little confusing, so we'll just explain it.
00:22:56.400 --> 00:22:58.880
So bacteria gets in the bloodstream.
00:23:00.000 --> 00:23:02.640
So you get what we call bacteremic.
00:23:03.519 --> 00:23:06.559
And so how did the bacteria get in there?
00:23:06.799 --> 00:23:14.400
Well, uh a urinary tract infection is a very common way to get bacteria.
00:23:14.960 --> 00:23:21.200
A cut on the skin that gets inflamed, not necessarily infected, is a way to get bacteria in your bloodstream.
00:23:23.359 --> 00:23:25.119
Acne that you pick.
00:23:25.519 --> 00:23:26.079
Oh yeah.
00:23:26.799 --> 00:23:28.160
Chewing your fingernails.
00:23:30.079 --> 00:23:36.960
So you got respiratory tract, mucosal surfaces, skin, your GI tract.
00:23:38.559 --> 00:23:42.720
I mean, it's no surprise that people get problems.
00:23:43.599 --> 00:23:45.200
And Dr.
00:23:45.359 --> 00:23:54.000
Barber, I think that the biggest issue is if you showed up to my office with a big red swollen breast, everybody would know what was wrong.
00:23:55.119 --> 00:24:03.680
But because this gets in the bloodstream and then attaches to a device in an occult manner, it's not an obvious problem.
00:24:04.160 --> 00:24:16.880
But once those bacteria build up, and so biofilms are just colonies or like little villages of bacteria, and they can produce a little coating that makes it hard for your body to deal with them.
00:24:17.440 --> 00:24:24.160
And then once they're interacting with your tissues, so I think there's this misconception about the scar tissue your body builds.
00:24:24.480 --> 00:24:28.000
Your scar tissue doesn't build an impervious nuclear bomb shelter.
00:24:28.160 --> 00:24:32.720
It's a very it's a it's a collagen sac.
00:24:32.880 --> 00:24:38.880
And if you looked at it, it would be like something that was knitted, and you stretch it apart and you can see right through it.
00:24:39.200 --> 00:24:39.519
Right.
00:24:39.759 --> 00:24:46.720
So you there's signaling between the bacteria and that fatty acid in the breast tissue, like we talked about.
00:24:46.960 --> 00:24:49.440
So that creates the oxidative reaction we talked about.
00:24:49.599 --> 00:24:57.599
That leads to that biomarker oxy dioxylipentinome, which downstream causes all sorts of things that leads to symptoms.
00:24:57.920 --> 00:25:05.839
So the buildup of those two bacteria by those mechanisms we talked about, that all makes sense.
00:25:06.799 --> 00:25:07.039
Yeah.
00:25:07.440 --> 00:25:10.160
I don't think any of that's that hard to figure out.
00:25:10.640 --> 00:25:15.519
Now, there is uh our paper that set the incidence at 29%.
00:25:16.480 --> 00:25:28.960
There's a a paper that came out from Denmark last summer that I saw uh and it talks about how I think about it, and so I guess follow along here.
00:25:29.839 --> 00:25:36.720
So your body recognizes something as foreign if it's not genetically identical.
00:25:37.279 --> 00:25:37.759
Right.
00:25:38.480 --> 00:25:41.039
So if you had a genetically identical twin, Dr.
00:25:41.119 --> 00:25:46.319
Barber, any organ could be transposed between the two of you and not need any drugs.
00:25:46.720 --> 00:25:46.880
Right.
00:25:47.200 --> 00:25:48.720
Because I'm not gonna reject it.
00:25:49.359 --> 00:25:51.599
You would be genetically identical.
00:25:52.480 --> 00:25:55.519
And then if you were a non-identical twin, you would need drugs.
00:25:56.000 --> 00:26:00.319
And if it was a cadaver kidney from your partner, you would need drugs.
00:26:02.720 --> 00:26:07.359
The Denmark study showed that implants are being rejected like a cadaver organ.
00:26:09.839 --> 00:26:19.200
So that means it's not just a T cell response that leads to a breast implant associated lymphoma or an aggravated immune response.
00:26:19.599 --> 00:26:25.839
It is actually acting like you put a cadaver kidney there instead of a breast implant.
00:26:26.079 --> 00:26:31.200
And so it's building up plasma cells and B cells in addition.
00:26:31.759 --> 00:26:36.160
So you're having an egg a rejection response, if that makes more sense.
00:26:36.480 --> 00:26:36.880
Yes.
00:26:37.359 --> 00:26:39.359
So it's not just a foreign body response.
00:26:39.680 --> 00:26:41.279
So it's more of a rejection response.
00:26:41.359 --> 00:26:44.480
And I say that because it's always been thought it's just foreign body.
00:26:46.400 --> 00:26:53.680
But in patients who remain symptomatic because their capsules were left in, it makes much more sense to me that that is part of the problem.
00:26:54.079 --> 00:27:02.079
Because any of the debris that your T septal T cell receptors sensed and saw and reacted to is still there.
00:27:02.240 --> 00:27:16.480
Any gel that was left in from a rupture device that was taken out in the office under local, which I've been told is being done in the United States, which seems farcical, uh that's another way to have an ongoing immune response.
00:27:16.559 --> 00:27:28.799
So I've had people fly in from other places in the country who had uh capsule remaining, and one of them in particular had ruptured devices taken out under local in the office.
00:27:30.240 --> 00:27:45.440
I hope that women, I mean, some of this is going to go over their head because it's really heavy in the medical stuff, but it it needs to be talked about, and women need to understand that it's not just you feel bad and we think it might be happening.
00:27:45.599 --> 00:27:47.519
Like you're doing research on this.
00:27:47.680 --> 00:27:53.440
The science is clear, like what's happening at a cellular process level.
00:27:53.680 --> 00:28:01.599
And I hope that women are feeling seen and understood today by hearing this because I know a lot of women get dismissed.
00:28:01.839 --> 00:28:14.640
Um, so I'm excited to talk about your Sharp method because we need to figure out how to help that third of the patients that just can't have X-plant surgery and feel better.
00:28:14.880 --> 00:28:19.519
So tell us what that looks like when they come to you and work with you.
00:28:19.759 --> 00:28:21.119
You're their surgeon.
00:28:21.279 --> 00:28:23.839
Like you have a whole team that helps them, right?
00:28:24.720 --> 00:28:26.960
Yeah, so it was really for that third.
00:28:27.039 --> 00:28:30.559
Um, because I uh I mean, you've known me a fair amount of time.
00:28:30.640 --> 00:28:35.039
So I'm always very curious about and and want to solve whatever the problem is.
00:28:35.279 --> 00:28:42.480
So the problem became not such a difficult surgical problem, but more of a recovery problem.
00:28:42.640 --> 00:28:48.000
So the Sharp method, the book I wrote, is really about prep preparation to enhance recovery.
00:28:48.160 --> 00:28:59.599
So instead of getting someone out a year who still doesn't feel well, is not responding properly, we want to do all the upfront prep evaluation.
00:29:00.240 --> 00:29:10.640
And so currently we do genetic testing to look at the detox pathways, like we mentioned, as well as evaluate other metabolic issues.
00:29:10.960 --> 00:29:16.319
We look at a total toxicity test that's a urine test, so it's a very non-invasive test.
00:29:16.559 --> 00:29:19.839
You know, genetics is saliva, toxicity tests.
00:29:19.920 --> 00:29:23.359
We use vibrant wellness for total toxicity burden testing.
00:29:24.079 --> 00:29:33.759
And try to see, after a glutathione challenge, what everybody has in their system that could be contributing to uh problems.
00:29:34.000 --> 00:29:35.920
I'm sure you're not gonna be surprised about this.
00:29:36.000 --> 00:29:41.440
I find a lot of people have a lot of trouble with mold and a lot of trouble with glyphosates.
00:29:41.839 --> 00:29:47.759
Um if you're from certain regions of the country, you've been exposed to more and more herbicides and pesticides.
00:29:47.839 --> 00:29:53.440
I don't want to indict a specific state, but there's plenty of that to go around.
00:29:53.599 --> 00:29:58.480
Uh where I grew up, the groundwater was bad, and that's a common problem.
00:29:58.640 --> 00:30:01.759
So there's a lot of arsenic in people's systems.
00:30:02.559 --> 00:30:08.960
And then there's all sorts of random things I can't explain that they're like, how did I get that solvent or that you know chemical in my system?
00:30:09.200 --> 00:30:10.240
Like, I don't know.
00:30:10.480 --> 00:30:24.559
Like, but you know, when someone doesn't feel well, and I think it's really important that we leverage all the available resources, not just what we were taught, but what's really available.
00:30:24.720 --> 00:30:50.640
So genetic testing is by far to me the most underutilized thing, you know, probably outside of the tox test, that you know, I expect everybody who comes to see me not to be anemic, not have renal disease, not have hepatic problems, not have, you know, uh a cardiac issue because you you can't otherwise you better have had all that looked at before you ever show up to see me.
00:30:50.960 --> 00:30:51.359
Yeah.
00:30:51.839 --> 00:30:53.200
I like that you said that.
00:30:53.359 --> 00:30:58.960
You're not trying to like just, you know, get patients for a quick grab.
00:30:59.200 --> 00:31:06.160
This is like we need to rule out everything else and realize that this is the actual problem.
00:31:06.799 --> 00:31:10.000
So I I love that you said that.
00:31:11.119 --> 00:31:12.880
Well, then we combine it with a gut test.
00:31:13.039 --> 00:31:14.880
Everybody knows about gut testing at this point.
00:31:14.960 --> 00:31:18.720
It's been talked about the microbiome, you know, all those things, Dr.
00:31:18.880 --> 00:31:20.319
Barbara, just snapshots, right?
00:31:20.400 --> 00:31:45.359
I've done like, I don't know, 10 microbiome tests myself just to try to determine which, you know, uh seems like the best for us to use, and we've you know settled on using a gut zoomer currently, which seems to help us get enough information and we combine that with some other uh food sensitivity testing, people are really unaware of what stimulates them in their diets.
00:31:45.519 --> 00:31:47.839
So you have to educate them that way.
00:31:48.160 --> 00:32:19.359
And then uh if someone were to come to us for a fat transfer, and that's a whole separate topic, but I look at DEXA scans now because in the advent of GLP1 agonists and the lack of understanding around body composition, it's really important that people understand, especially women, their bone density, lean muscle mass, and their body fat, not to create a um I I'm trying to get people to understand where they are.
00:32:19.680 --> 00:32:22.400
Like I'm not Harry, I'm not Harry Potter, right?
00:32:22.559 --> 00:32:23.920
I'm not a magician.
00:32:24.160 --> 00:32:33.039
So I need to know as much about you specifically so I can explain what you should be either aware of or not aware of.
00:32:33.119 --> 00:32:38.079
Like you'll you'll hear that fat transfers don't work, right?
00:32:38.160 --> 00:32:40.160
This'll this will be talked about a lot.
00:32:40.400 --> 00:32:40.640
Right.
00:32:40.880 --> 00:32:41.680
So, okay.
00:32:42.000 --> 00:32:48.559
And this is to replace the the implant that you've removed to give some volume back to the breast in case we don't realize.
00:32:49.039 --> 00:32:50.160
We'll give two scenarios.
00:32:50.319 --> 00:32:57.359
So one is a fat transfer can be used in different areas of the body just to augment or enhance that volume, right?
00:32:57.599 --> 00:33:04.720
So everybody's probably heard of the Brazilian butt lift right, so a bigger butt.
00:33:04.880 --> 00:33:05.359
Yeah.
00:33:05.599 --> 00:33:08.319
I've never had anybody come on and say, hey, Dr.
00:33:08.400 --> 00:33:11.519
Whitfield, I have a lopsided ass, can you fix my butt?
00:33:11.759 --> 00:33:12.160
Right?
00:33:12.319 --> 00:33:16.960
Because you put fat in someone's butt, a lot of it, and it works.
00:33:17.440 --> 00:33:24.480
If you put a little bit of fat in someone's face in the right place, deep, not superficial, it typically heals.
00:33:24.799 --> 00:33:27.119
Because the blood supply in the face is really rich.
00:33:27.200 --> 00:33:29.680
The lymphatic drainage is really great.
00:33:30.079 --> 00:33:31.200
But somehow, Dr.
00:33:31.359 --> 00:33:34.079
Barber, the breast is an enigma.
00:33:34.480 --> 00:33:36.960
We can't figure out how to do the breasts.
00:33:37.440 --> 00:33:39.119
But it's really not that complex.
00:33:39.279 --> 00:33:40.880
We'll just break it down very simply.
00:33:41.200 --> 00:33:47.279
For your butt, you need a half liter per butt cheek, 500cc, to make a difference.
00:33:49.119 --> 00:33:59.119
For the chest, not the breast, because we don't put fat in the breast, because that'll make a cyst, or a mammogram problem, or an ultrasound problem, or MRI problem.
00:33:59.920 --> 00:34:03.200
We put it beneath the skin and above the breast.
00:34:04.160 --> 00:34:07.920
We don't put it in the pocket where I take an implant out of if I'm doing that.
00:34:08.480 --> 00:34:12.400
So all this is to be said, like, why do you think there's a difference, right?
00:34:12.480 --> 00:34:17.199
The fat in the face is the place where you put the least amount.
00:34:18.159 --> 00:34:27.360
The breast, the next compartment, you know, if you want to think of the chest breast area, that would be the next available space, but it's smaller, it's limited.
00:34:28.239 --> 00:34:34.239
And then you have the butt, which is by far the biggest volumetric space you could put fat into.
00:34:34.880 --> 00:34:44.400
So I I don't want anybody to be unrealistic, but I also don't want you to live in fear of something not working or something going away.
00:34:44.639 --> 00:35:00.800
Here's what you need to know if you get a DEXA scan and know what your BMI really is, and you maintain your BMI after a fat transfer or you bump it up a point, not to become um unhealthy or anything like that, maybe you're lifting weights, maybe you're adding, you know, lean muscle mass, whatever.
00:35:01.039 --> 00:35:08.960
What you don't want to do is overtrain and create a caloric deficit because that will affect your fat transfer.
00:35:09.679 --> 00:35:13.280
If you drop your BMI, you will lose more of your fat transfer.
00:35:13.519 --> 00:35:14.320
That's what the data is.
00:35:15.280 --> 00:35:16.559
You're gonna burn off that fat.
00:35:16.719 --> 00:35:18.960
Those cells are gonna shrink.
00:35:19.280 --> 00:35:19.599
Okay.
00:35:20.400 --> 00:35:24.000
So everybody has their window into how this works, right?
00:35:24.159 --> 00:35:24.400
Yeah.
00:35:24.559 --> 00:35:25.760
I know how to do the case.
00:35:25.840 --> 00:35:27.119
I've done several thousand of them.
00:35:27.199 --> 00:35:28.159
I'm not the problem.
00:35:28.320 --> 00:35:30.559
I take fat from one place to another.
00:35:30.800 --> 00:35:34.880
I use the best available tools, plenty of experience.
00:35:35.199 --> 00:35:37.599
The thing that keeps changing is the patient.
00:35:37.760 --> 00:35:44.480
So the patients that I want to under, I just want the patient to understand, like, you have to be accountable for what you want, right?
00:35:44.559 --> 00:35:51.760
If you want a fat transfer, you can't take a GLP one, you can't do HIT, HIROX, cycle, marathon running.
00:35:51.920 --> 00:35:54.000
Those sound stupid if you want a fat transfer.
00:35:54.159 --> 00:35:55.519
Just so everybody's listening.
00:35:55.920 --> 00:36:01.119
You can walk, you can lift weights, you can do Pilates, you can do yoga, all sorts of things you can do.
00:36:01.280 --> 00:36:06.719
But if you want to do high-intensity interval training, you should not get a fat transfer, not one by me.
00:36:06.960 --> 00:36:07.920
That's a waste of time.
00:36:08.159 --> 00:36:08.559
I won't go.
00:36:08.880 --> 00:36:12.480
Well, I would think that women would understand that because I hear that all the time.
00:36:12.639 --> 00:36:19.039
Like when women are trying to lose weight, they always say, Oh, I lost it in my breast, but not where I want to lose it from.
00:36:19.199 --> 00:36:21.599
It's like that's always the first place to go.
00:36:21.679 --> 00:36:24.000
So that makes total sense to me.
00:36:24.159 --> 00:36:24.800
Yeah.
00:36:25.280 --> 00:36:25.440
Yeah.
00:36:25.679 --> 00:36:30.400
I mean, it's not hard when you just like take a step back and think about it.
00:36:30.559 --> 00:36:32.800
Like nothing I say is cryptic.
00:36:32.960 --> 00:36:34.639
It's all very straightforward.
00:36:35.360 --> 00:37:00.159
Well, I think it's also really important to tie in the emotional piece of this and maybe even the spiritual piece, because this is fast of faith, because a lot of women made decisions to get implants maybe 20 years ago or more, and they feel a lot of guilt, a lot of shame around this, and then they go to doctors who can't really help them and they make them feel worse.
00:37:00.400 --> 00:37:07.360
So I appreciate your no-nonsense attitude and the fact that you're like, we can help you.
00:37:07.519 --> 00:37:17.599
Um, but do you see women have issues going through this emotional transition of acceptance during this process?
00:37:17.679 --> 00:37:21.039
And do you guys address that or have resources for that?
00:37:21.679 --> 00:37:23.440
Yeah, it's the hardest part, Sarah.
00:37:23.519 --> 00:37:33.360
I talk to patients a lot about self-work, and we've worked with different providers to try to get a better handle on resources for them.
00:37:33.760 --> 00:37:35.360
Everybody's very different, Dr.
00:37:35.440 --> 00:37:35.760
Barbara.
00:37:36.000 --> 00:37:37.679
They need different help.
00:37:38.000 --> 00:37:45.199
And um, I've actually turned it back to them and said, you, I don't know which thing works best for you.
00:37:45.280 --> 00:37:52.880
If it's EDMR, if it's talking to uh a psychologist, I don't know what's going to be the best for that individual.
00:37:53.440 --> 00:37:55.440
But I tell them all they need to do.
00:37:55.599 --> 00:38:00.800
We all need to do self-work, but this is something that you definitely have to concentrate on.
00:38:00.880 --> 00:38:06.400
You have to have a supportive loved one, family, spouse, um, as well.
00:38:06.719 --> 00:38:11.519
And then I think, you know, I try to offer, like I said, the simultaneous fat transfer.
00:38:11.599 --> 00:38:24.320
I'm one of the few people in the country that will do that because I feel extremely comfortable running the short method pre-op and really defining and setting up a patient for success.
00:38:24.559 --> 00:38:33.119
I don't think it has to be a um such a puzzle to figure out, right?
00:38:33.199 --> 00:38:40.079
If if you think about what we discussed, all right, does the patient actually have enough body fat to do this?
00:38:40.239 --> 00:38:42.400
Like the DEXA scan is pretty objective.
00:38:42.639 --> 00:38:44.559
It's the most objective thing I could use.
00:38:44.719 --> 00:38:50.559
I don't want an in-body, I want a DEXA because I want you to know your bone density, I want you to know your lean muscle mass and body fat.
00:38:50.800 --> 00:38:54.800
That just helps you right there, especially in the GLP1 days.
00:38:55.119 --> 00:38:56.559
We need to know that.
00:38:57.280 --> 00:39:00.400
And then it becomes a much easier conversation.
00:39:00.960 --> 00:39:01.360
Yeah.
00:39:02.000 --> 00:39:02.159
Yeah.
00:39:02.639 --> 00:39:03.840
Then I can say, all right.
00:39:04.480 --> 00:39:05.440
Yeah, go ahead.
00:39:06.159 --> 00:39:08.719
No, I just think that's really helpful.
00:39:08.880 --> 00:39:18.800
And I hope for any woman listening, like we can absolutely help you with the spiritual piece and the emotional distress that comes from that.
00:39:18.880 --> 00:39:34.960
And I just want to encourage anybody listening, like, we're all messy Christians, we're all just messy humans, and we need to know that nothing that we have done um declares death over us.
00:39:35.119 --> 00:39:40.880
Like, there's always help, there's always a possibility for renewal and restoration.
00:39:41.199 --> 00:39:46.639
And I want women to understand that, yes, you probably need someone like Dr.
00:39:46.880 --> 00:39:51.599
Whitfield who is gonna help you with these medical pieces, and that is okay.
00:39:51.840 --> 00:40:01.440
But we also do need to not be afraid to just say, you know what, maybe I made a decision that wasn't the best for my body, but I didn't know at the time.
00:40:01.519 --> 00:40:08.079
I made the decision under like different circumstances, and that's okay, and we can make new decisions now.
00:40:08.239 --> 00:40:23.039
So I'm just appreciative that you are addressing this because it is a huge problem, and so many women don't get it taken care of because they feel shame or they've been told this is just how it's gonna be.
00:40:23.199 --> 00:40:26.000
You made this poor decision, now you have to live with it.
00:40:26.079 --> 00:40:28.239
And I'm here to say, no, you don't.
00:40:28.400 --> 00:40:29.280
That's not okay.
00:40:29.440 --> 00:40:34.079
Like you deserve to feel amazing, and let's figure out how to get you there.
00:40:34.320 --> 00:40:40.400
So is there anything else that you really want to share with the listeners today, Dr.
00:40:40.480 --> 00:40:41.519
Whitfield?
00:40:41.920 --> 00:40:42.480
There is.
00:40:42.559 --> 00:40:53.519
I think there's a lot of folks that feel, like you said, shame or regret about that, and then folks that um um for whatever reason afterwards don't feel well.
00:40:53.679 --> 00:40:56.880
Like I want everybody to understand, like that should not be the case.
00:40:57.039 --> 00:40:57.280
Yes.
00:40:57.679 --> 00:41:06.880
Everything we're discussing today should be able to be taken care of with programming and understanding of the problem at a much higher level.
00:41:07.039 --> 00:41:07.360
Yeah.
00:41:07.599 --> 00:41:10.159
And surgery alone does not solve this problem.
00:41:11.119 --> 00:41:12.960
I just sort of say that again.
00:41:13.280 --> 00:41:16.480
Surgery alone does not solve this problem.
00:41:16.719 --> 00:41:17.199
Yeah.
00:41:17.519 --> 00:41:20.639
It solves a big part of the problem, which I appreciate.
00:41:20.880 --> 00:41:28.400
But yes, thank you for saying that because we are a body, mind, and spirit, and we have to address all three.
00:41:28.559 --> 00:41:34.079
And if you don't believe that you can heal or get well, you just actually will not heal and get well.
00:41:34.159 --> 00:41:35.199
That is the truth of it.
00:41:35.360 --> 00:41:37.280
Your mind will win every time.
00:41:37.519 --> 00:41:48.639
So um, as you're working on recovering and restoration physically, we need to start to renew our mind mentally and get help with that.
00:41:48.880 --> 00:41:50.960
So, where can people find you?
00:41:51.119 --> 00:41:52.960
I know that you've been banned on YouTube.
00:41:53.119 --> 00:41:54.719
That is a whole nother discussion.
00:41:54.800 --> 00:42:01.039
It's super frustrating because your videos are so educational and helpful, but you have a podcast, right?
00:42:01.199 --> 00:42:04.719
I know that you are educating women in that way.
00:42:05.599 --> 00:42:07.519
Yeah, so I'll announce this first.
00:42:07.679 --> 00:42:09.920
I've started our own community on circles.
00:42:10.159 --> 00:42:20.639
You can go to my domain, drrobertwitfield.com, or my uh my store, D-R-R-O-B-S-S-O-L-U-T-I-O-N S, Dr.
00:42:20.800 --> 00:42:21.920
Rob Solutions.
00:42:22.159 --> 00:42:29.920
Each of those will have ways to either see the videos I've done or join that community privately where I will not be censored for telling the truth.
00:42:30.320 --> 00:42:30.880
Awesome.
00:42:31.039 --> 00:42:33.119
We will have those in the show notes for sure.
00:42:33.199 --> 00:42:35.440
That will be super helpful.
00:42:35.599 --> 00:42:36.559
Oh my goodness.
00:42:36.800 --> 00:42:37.760
Oh, yeah.
00:42:38.000 --> 00:42:42.719
Is there anywhere that they can go specifically for the sharp meth method?
00:42:43.519 --> 00:42:49.440
Yeah, on either of those domains, there are uh opportunities to participate in the uh sharp method.
00:42:49.599 --> 00:42:50.559
Thank you for bringing that up.
00:42:50.719 --> 00:42:57.920
So before, the only way you could participate and get that programming was to be my patient and have surgery with me.
00:42:58.159 --> 00:43:06.960
What we've done is opened it up to a group, and I have two functional practitioners running programming for patients uh all over the United States.
00:43:07.280 --> 00:43:08.239
Oh, I love that.
00:43:08.480 --> 00:43:10.639
Yeah, so thank you for making that available.
00:43:10.719 --> 00:43:11.679
That's so awesome.
00:43:11.920 --> 00:43:14.559
Okay, I want to speak to the woman listening.
00:43:14.800 --> 00:43:19.360
You are like, oh my gosh, this is speaking to me right now.
00:43:19.599 --> 00:43:24.480
I want you to understand that there is hope, there is support, there is wisdom.
00:43:24.639 --> 00:43:28.880
Give yourself some grace and remember Mark 923.
00:43:29.199 --> 00:43:31.360
All things are possible who believe.
00:43:31.599 --> 00:43:36.480
So you are not just supposed to be here and struggle and get through life.
00:43:36.559 --> 00:43:38.880
Like you are actually supposed to heal.
00:43:39.039 --> 00:43:42.960
That is how your body was created to function, to heal, and to thrive.
00:43:43.119 --> 00:43:49.280
So believe bigger for yourself, ladies, and just know that God is doing incredible work through Dr.
00:43:49.440 --> 00:43:50.320
Whitfield.
00:43:50.559 --> 00:43:53.280
And there are people out there that can help you.
00:43:53.360 --> 00:43:54.800
You don't have to stay stuck.
00:43:54.880 --> 00:43:56.880
That's the whole point of this podcast.
00:43:57.039 --> 00:44:02.800
So go out, be Christ's hands to serve this week, but don't give up hope.
00:44:02.960 --> 00:44:04.400
Keep looking for answers.
00:44:04.559 --> 00:44:05.360
We got you.
00:44:05.519 --> 00:44:06.320
Thank you, Dr.
00:44:06.400 --> 00:44:07.360
Whitfield.
00:44:07.760 --> 00:44:08.639
Thank you for having me on.
00:44:09.119 --> 00:44:10.480
Really appreciate it.
