ABOUT THIS EPISODE
We need to understand the mosaic and tapestry of humanity and what God intended us to be and do it based on the cultural context. What we need to do is not belittle how people connect to God but be honest about it and have dialogue without demonizing the reality of who we are. We see each other through cultural context. For me to say I don't see you as a white man/woman or you to say you don’t see me as a black man or see a black woman is to dishonor that God made us different. The key to the blood of Christ is that I don't see you as better or worse than me, I see you equal to me and that's where the "church" hasn't been loud. The blood doesn't just save us it makes us siblings. Heirs and co-heirs with Christ. It's very hard to dishonor what reminds you of yourself. Have uncomfortable conversations because they will lead to healing. Many times when people from different backgrounds come to the fellowship we shouldn’t look at them as outsiders. Maybe the Lord has sent them to grow you.
