00:00:01.439 --> 00:00:08.640
Most people spend their entire life stressed without ever giving a single thought as to what it is they really want and what's important to them.
00:00:09.279 --> 00:00:14.640
See, I'm here to cut through all the noise connecting you to yourself and the life that you were meant to live.
00:00:15.039 --> 00:00:17.839
I used to live away the copper job and I hated.
00:00:18.000 --> 00:00:21.280
But I broke through the social noise and took too much happy.
00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:24.079
As a result, I own my own coffee company.
00:00:24.239 --> 00:00:27.120
I'm just supposed to come in, and I get this profitable.
00:00:28.399 --> 00:00:30.800
You too can live a life that you want.
00:00:31.039 --> 00:00:33.200
But it starts within clear about what you want.
00:00:33.840 --> 00:00:34.960
It starts within this.
00:00:36.240 --> 00:00:37.679
I'm your host, Donnie Rose.
00:00:38.320 --> 00:00:40.079
You're listening to the podcast.
00:00:40.479 --> 00:00:41.359
One life.
00:00:51.840 --> 00:00:53.759
Today we're going to talk about confidence.
00:00:54.079 --> 00:00:58.640
Confidence is the key to you and all of your dreams.
00:00:58.960 --> 00:01:07.680
And there are three keys of confidence deservingness, decisiveness, and let me get to that third one that I wrote down.
00:01:07.760 --> 00:01:08.719
And um and dreams.
00:01:08.879 --> 00:01:19.519
So we're gonna I'll go into each of those and I'll kind of um I'll share with you just how each one of these levers is standing between you and the dreams you have.
00:01:19.680 --> 00:01:28.159
And by explaining this to you, I'll pull examples from my own life because this is actually one of the areas where I felt like I had struggled the most.
00:01:28.959 --> 00:01:35.120
But when it was when people were on the outside looking at me, they thought, you know, man, this kid is this guy is super confident.
00:01:35.359 --> 00:01:36.879
Man, he has everything going for him.
00:01:36.959 --> 00:01:38.480
He's doing X, Y, and Z.
00:01:38.959 --> 00:01:42.799
But in the inside, I wasn't feeling it.
00:01:42.959 --> 00:01:46.000
And I and I felt it at different points in my life, right?
00:01:46.079 --> 00:01:47.280
At different moments.
00:01:47.519 --> 00:01:50.079
And often on and off throughout the week.
00:01:50.159 --> 00:01:54.000
And it was because of these three keys that I'm about to explain to you right here.
00:01:54.319 --> 00:01:58.879
Because at any moment, when you disconnect from one of these keys, then you disconnect from your confidence.
00:01:58.959 --> 00:02:03.840
But when you were connected to all three, man, you are a force to be reckoned with.
00:02:04.079 --> 00:02:05.760
So let's talk about number one.
00:02:05.920 --> 00:02:08.639
Well, actually, let me explain all three of them to you right now.
00:02:08.719 --> 00:02:12.000
I'll tell you about them and then I'll go into each single one of those.
00:02:12.159 --> 00:02:14.240
So the first is deservingness.
00:02:14.479 --> 00:02:20.879
If you don't have a perception for your life, then you are gonna fall into the perceptions of others or your former self.
00:02:21.520 --> 00:02:23.199
Secondly, is dreams.
00:02:23.280 --> 00:02:24.479
Like, what are your dreams?
00:02:24.719 --> 00:02:28.560
Like, what are the big things that are gonna excite you and move forward?
00:02:29.439 --> 00:02:38.800
Because if you don't have dreams moving you forward, if you don't have something exciting pulling you, then you're just gonna dwell on like all the troubles that are in your day.
00:02:38.879 --> 00:02:39.520
And guess what?
00:02:39.680 --> 00:02:45.199
Life has it has an endless well of troubles if that's where you want to put your focus.
00:02:45.439 --> 00:02:48.000
And the last one is decisiveness.
00:02:48.159 --> 00:02:58.800
You have to take decisive action because with action, you get momentum and momentum with enough action, you will get the confidence to go towards whatever it is that you want to take.
00:02:59.120 --> 00:03:01.360
So let me tell you about my own life.
00:03:01.520 --> 00:03:13.039
So this way you can see yourself in my own experiences and you can kind of see where I was stumbling and correct your own actions going forward.
00:03:13.199 --> 00:03:15.360
So this way you don't experience it any longer.
00:03:15.520 --> 00:03:18.159
And I want to kind of throw this caveat in.
00:03:18.479 --> 00:03:32.000
If for some reason that you are experiencing a lack of confidence, just have the awareness, then notice what it is, and then ask which one of these three keys is it, and then work on improving that area.
00:03:32.400 --> 00:03:33.840
So let's talk about the first one.
00:03:34.000 --> 00:03:35.680
The first one is deservingness.
00:03:36.800 --> 00:03:44.639
Why is it that some people just are confident and other people lack it, even when they have every reason to be confident?
00:03:46.400 --> 00:03:49.439
The reason is that they don't integrate their successes.
00:03:49.520 --> 00:03:53.280
And I'd heard this from many coaches uh that I'd had in the past.
00:03:53.439 --> 00:03:54.800
You have to integrate your successes.
00:03:54.879 --> 00:03:58.159
And I was like, I'm just gonna keep on going.
00:03:58.240 --> 00:04:01.439
I'm just gonna keep on charging forward towards the desires I have.
00:04:01.520 --> 00:04:04.719
I'm gonna divide and I'm just not divide, I'm just gonna conquer.
00:04:04.960 --> 00:04:10.240
So as a result, I would keep conquering these goals that I had, these ambitions.
00:04:10.560 --> 00:04:15.680
But when I would get there, I would feel empty because I wasn't allowing myself to integrate it.
00:04:16.000 --> 00:04:20.399
And what was happening was that my confidence was actually very hurt, right?
00:04:20.959 --> 00:04:25.199
I'm going through all these things, and all these things I should be extremely proud of.
00:04:25.439 --> 00:04:28.639
But then I was just focusing on what the negatives were.
00:04:29.199 --> 00:04:38.399
And here's the thing we we we hold off on confidence because we think we have to experience the end goal in order to one day obtain that confidence.
00:04:38.480 --> 00:04:41.360
When the truth is, confidence is in motion, right?
00:04:41.600 --> 00:04:47.519
Confidence is just taking that next step, being confident that you are going to be able to figure it out.
00:04:48.240 --> 00:04:55.040
To give you an example of this, I'll give you an example with the most recent creation of my espresso blend.
00:04:55.360 --> 00:05:03.120
So, my espresso blend, I had been wanting to do an espresso blend of my own for literally since I started my coffee career.
00:05:04.000 --> 00:05:10.480
And in doing that, I like it's not just to say, oh, I want to create an espresso blend.
00:05:10.560 --> 00:05:12.319
Let me roast some coffee and use it as espresso, right?
00:05:12.480 --> 00:05:18.480
Because anyone could roast coffee, meaning anyone could take coffee, take it from green, turn it brown, and call it coffee.
00:05:18.720 --> 00:05:20.480
That doesn't mean it's gonna taste good.
00:05:20.959 --> 00:05:28.319
So I had spent nearly the last like 20 plus years of my life just focusing on espresso.
00:05:28.720 --> 00:05:38.879
And as you can imagine, spending 25 years, almost a quarter of a century, on a particular focus, you're gonna learn some things.
00:05:39.839 --> 00:05:44.079
And so I I had I was literally spent all that time focusing on that.
00:05:44.160 --> 00:05:49.600
But when people asked me, I would often feel like uh worried about what they would think about it.
00:05:49.680 --> 00:05:52.959
And I and I would have a hard time.
00:05:53.120 --> 00:05:58.319
If I was coaching somebody on espresso, I'd have a hard time speaking with confidence.
00:05:58.399 --> 00:06:04.639
I mean, I I people probably saw that, but in my own mind, I felt shaky at times.
00:06:05.360 --> 00:06:06.639
Why is that?
00:06:07.279 --> 00:06:16.800
So I I was looking at, I was just reviewing all of my of my uh like kind of going back over the history I had with coffee.
00:06:17.040 --> 00:06:26.879
And what I realized was that I was not integrated to my wins, meaning I was not giving myself credit for all the successes I've had, all the determination.
00:06:27.600 --> 00:06:40.000
And it's been even in the mo in the last, I mean, year, let alone like the last like five years, I've had seen a tremendous growth where I had thought that growth was once stalled and that I knew everything.
00:06:40.319 --> 00:06:47.519
But what I realized was that the more I sought knowledge, the deeper I had I was going and the more there was to learn.
00:06:47.600 --> 00:06:49.519
So it was an ongoing process.
00:06:50.240 --> 00:07:08.800
But when I looked back at the days where like I couldn't figure out, I was pulling espresso shots and like shot was spraying all over the place, and I couldn't figure out for the life meaning what was going on and how frustrated I was with the most simple, the most simple like uh concept of pulling a shot and where I am now.
00:07:09.920 --> 00:07:12.800
Like I I I just never integrate again.
00:07:12.879 --> 00:07:15.600
And you may say, like, well, what the hell does espresso have to do with me, right?
00:07:15.680 --> 00:07:17.279
I Donnie, I'm not even into espresso.
00:07:17.439 --> 00:07:18.079
I drink tea.
00:07:18.240 --> 00:07:20.079
What does it have to do with me?
00:07:20.720 --> 00:07:22.560
But let's go back even further.
00:07:22.720 --> 00:07:28.399
Let's go back to your childhood, let's go back to middle school or high school, right?
00:07:28.639 --> 00:07:31.839
Some of the hardest times of your life, at least they were for me.
00:07:32.959 --> 00:07:37.920
When I was in high school, in middle school, shit, even in elementary school, I used to get bullied.
00:07:38.240 --> 00:07:40.399
People always used to pick fights with me.
00:07:40.480 --> 00:07:44.399
And I think it was because I was just very soft-hearted and kind.
00:07:44.480 --> 00:07:46.720
And as a result, people just went to me.
00:07:46.800 --> 00:07:56.560
There was a time where I would definitely be want the like one to fight, especially in elementary school, because I was taking, I remember taking I was taking a Korean martial art forum.
00:07:56.639 --> 00:07:57.839
So I just wanted to practice.
00:07:57.920 --> 00:08:05.600
So if someone would start a fight with me, I was ready to dive in there, but there was no punching or anything else, just kind of putting into submission.
00:08:06.000 --> 00:08:11.600
Um, but it it seemed to be like this theme that like people always would pick on me, right?
00:08:11.680 --> 00:08:27.439
And I remember going to school, I mean, on the on the bus, for example, and someone saying they wanted to beat me up and being terrified, terrified of being on the bus and then having to walk home because I was afraid I was gonna get beat up.
00:08:28.800 --> 00:08:37.600
But nevertheless, I you know, I I got on that bus, I took it home from school, and then I walked home.
00:08:37.759 --> 00:08:39.840
There were times where people tried pignifying me.
00:08:39.919 --> 00:08:43.600
Either sometimes I ran, other times just nothing materialized.
00:08:43.840 --> 00:08:53.519
So when I when I look back on, you know, to give you just a different example, when I look back on those experiences that I had, I mean, man, that was scary, right?
00:08:53.600 --> 00:08:55.759
Like, but I got through it.
00:08:56.320 --> 00:09:05.279
And so looking at that, I mean, like, then looking at like a bad shot of coffee or whatever it is you're facing, it almost seems like nothing because you've overcome so much.
00:09:05.440 --> 00:09:10.159
So to feel confident, you have to integrate your wins.
00:09:11.279 --> 00:09:19.039
Now, if you think of something you're having a struggle with, think of some of the things, how you would advance and where you started off from.
00:09:20.639 --> 00:09:22.159
Has there been progress?
00:09:23.120 --> 00:09:26.480
Which leads me into uh let's go into number two now.
00:09:26.639 --> 00:09:28.960
Now we're gonna talk about dreams.
00:09:29.919 --> 00:09:31.440
What are your dreams?
00:09:32.080 --> 00:09:36.639
If you're not being led by a vision of future, you're being led by one of the past.
00:09:37.600 --> 00:09:44.639
Only one of them is gonna make you feel more confident, feel more excited, and more vital towards life.
00:09:46.879 --> 00:09:56.000
Going back to the espresso example, I might as well just keep it on the theme of espresso because it makes sense for me and I want to keep it and make it easy for you.
00:09:56.080 --> 00:10:05.200
So going back to the theme of espresso, so I had had this dream about making a great espresso blend for literally my entire professional coffee career.
00:10:05.840 --> 00:10:15.600
And I would make attempts of my own, and I would never, you know, they wouldn't come out right or wasn't what I wanted, and then I would get just really, really down on myself, right?
00:10:15.759 --> 00:10:21.039
And and then I wasn't, I was just thinking, I was stuck in what was.
00:10:21.519 --> 00:10:25.840
I was stuck thinking like, man, it's never gonna change, right?
00:10:26.000 --> 00:10:31.919
So my my my um my vision for the future was very fixed on the present moment.
00:10:32.080 --> 00:10:36.559
It was not looking towards something bigger as to what could be.
00:10:37.759 --> 00:10:44.960
But here's the thing that happened, and um it's kind of goes into action, but then I decided that I was gonna make this happen.
00:10:45.120 --> 00:10:53.440
I was gonna make an authentic Italian espresso that was fresh and made amazing shots, an amazing crema, and I was gonna make all the world happy.
00:10:53.679 --> 00:10:56.399
But I'm joking, but I'm I'm half serious.
00:10:56.639 --> 00:11:06.240
Like I thought about this, and and and I just, if anything, I I dreamt of like the dream of just sipping and enjoying my own espresso, right?
00:11:06.320 --> 00:11:15.519
The one that I roasted, and just having so much pleasure from that, and as a result of that, it it pushed me forward to just keep on going.
00:11:16.639 --> 00:11:30.080
And um, whereas if I if I wanted to stay, say a few years ago, where I was making espresso and I just wasn't happy with it, if I wanted to stay in that space, I would not have taken the steps that I had taken.
00:11:31.039 --> 00:11:34.559
And let's think about your own life.
00:11:34.639 --> 00:11:37.759
Like, where is it that what are you being led by?
00:11:38.159 --> 00:11:40.320
Maybe it's your your physical health.
00:11:40.559 --> 00:11:43.600
Like, what is it, the vision that is driving you?
00:11:45.039 --> 00:11:52.639
And is it one where you're that is compelling enough that it excites you that when you think about it makes you want to take action?
00:11:52.879 --> 00:11:56.480
Or is it pretty much just stagnant, or maybe not even stagnant?
00:11:56.559 --> 00:12:03.360
Maybe you have a negative self-image or future that you're looking at, and as a result, it's pulling you backwards.
00:12:04.559 --> 00:12:05.519
Be aware of it.
00:12:05.679 --> 00:12:10.000
So this way you could actually change it by asking yourself a different question.
00:12:10.080 --> 00:12:11.039
Well, what is it that I want?
00:12:11.200 --> 00:12:16.720
If I could wish for anything in life, what would I wish for for the area of my business, my health, my finances?
00:12:17.039 --> 00:12:26.559
And the the idea of asking what you would wish for, because it just it gives you beyond like the suspend your disbelief that's what is something else is possible.
00:12:27.360 --> 00:12:35.279
And as a result of that, then you could start to excite it, get excited, and think of something that's beyond what your present day is.
00:12:35.519 --> 00:12:38.480
And then let's go, let's go to the last uh last part, decisiveness.
00:12:38.639 --> 00:12:45.440
This is probably where um I had felt the the most momentum was being decisive.
00:12:45.919 --> 00:12:57.360
Like going back to what I'd said, when I was feeling really shitty about that espresso, it's because I wasn't taking big action, I was taking small action steps, and you know, I'd get a bean, I'd try roasting it slightly different, but then I wouldn't do a whole lot, right?
00:12:57.519 --> 00:12:59.840
I would taste it, I'm like, oh, it's not working.
00:13:00.480 --> 00:13:05.279
And there wasn't a big vision for it until one day I decided.
00:13:05.840 --> 00:13:13.440
One day I decided I was gonna contact the number one espresso consultant in the world, and I was gonna do it in that within that year.
00:13:13.519 --> 00:13:18.080
It was like last year, I gave myself one year to have that espresso done.
00:13:18.320 --> 00:13:20.559
So I did everything I could.
00:13:20.720 --> 00:13:24.240
I called, you know, like I was asking Chad GPT who were the top ones.
00:13:24.320 --> 00:13:32.879
I spoke to all my friends in Italy, and I was doing the research, and then I got connected with a person and I said, All right, listen, I want to get on your calendar.
00:13:33.039 --> 00:13:35.759
And they're like, all right, well, there's no availability in the calendar.
00:13:35.840 --> 00:13:38.159
He's traveling around the world for you know the entire year.
00:13:38.320 --> 00:13:39.039
There's no availability.
00:13:39.120 --> 00:13:41.039
He's like, I won't take that as a no.
00:13:41.360 --> 00:13:43.440
I I need to get on his calendar.
00:13:43.600 --> 00:13:44.559
There has got to be a time.
00:13:44.639 --> 00:13:47.919
I'm flexible, I'm willing to wait however long it takes as long.
00:13:48.000 --> 00:13:50.799
It is done by April 2025.
00:13:51.519 --> 00:13:57.840
And they said, okay, all right, well, there might be some time in uh, you know, later in December, and then December got pushed forward.
00:13:57.919 --> 00:14:01.679
I mean, pushed back, and then it got pushed back again, and then it got pushed back again.
00:14:01.919 --> 00:14:03.919
And then I was like, you know, what the frig, man?
00:14:04.000 --> 00:14:05.679
I'm like, give me a time.
00:14:05.840 --> 00:14:09.440
It was Italian, uh, I'm Italian, so I'm allowed to say this.
00:14:09.600 --> 00:14:15.039
Uh, but working with working with different cultures, like especially in a different country, is very, very challenging.
00:14:15.120 --> 00:14:21.919
Uh, because yeah, Italians, they don't I feel like a lot of Italians don't really like to commit to hard schedules.
00:14:22.240 --> 00:14:30.559
And um so I I finally got him to commit to to being in Italy because he had to, because he had to go renew his passport and it was gonna take three weeks.
00:14:30.639 --> 00:14:34.879
So there was no, he hadn't he didn't have a choice, he was gonna be stuck in Italy.
00:14:35.200 --> 00:14:39.519
So I went there, I did the training, and then I came back.
00:14:40.159 --> 00:14:40.639
Right?
00:14:40.879 --> 00:14:45.759
And just to give you kind of in terms of action, like that was a that was a big action, right?
00:14:45.919 --> 00:14:47.440
And it was a big expense, right?
00:14:47.519 --> 00:14:56.399
So you all sometimes you gotta put your money where your mouth is because your money is simply energy, and it's energy that by putting in a direction, you're putting it in motion.
00:14:56.480 --> 00:14:59.919
You're saying, this is important to me, this is the direction I'm gonna move.
00:15:00.159 --> 00:15:09.200
So I went there, I came back, and all of a sudden I, you know, I I tasted the espresso that I made while I was in Italy, and I was like, all right, now I gotta freaking replicate it while I'm here.
00:15:09.360 --> 00:15:10.159
Like, how do I do that?
00:15:10.240 --> 00:15:11.679
Right, it's a different roasting environment.
00:15:11.759 --> 00:15:12.559
I need help.
00:15:12.799 --> 00:15:14.720
And I I contacted this consultant.
00:15:14.799 --> 00:15:19.200
I'm like, I need a call, you know, so this way we can do a virtual session, no availability.
00:15:19.279 --> 00:15:25.600
I'm like, how do you like train someone and then literally just drop them in and say, hey, okay, figure it out, right?
00:15:25.679 --> 00:15:27.600
It's not how I would want to do it, and that's how I felt.
00:15:27.679 --> 00:15:32.720
Maybe it's he was just he had all the obligations, but if I didn't have the time, then I wouldn't have taken someone out in the first place.
00:15:32.879 --> 00:15:35.279
Or if I did, I would make sure I would follow through.
00:15:35.519 --> 00:15:37.840
So now I'm here and I I want to figure it out.
00:15:37.919 --> 00:15:41.840
And now I'm I've got to think of I've got to come up with ways of doing it.
00:15:41.919 --> 00:15:43.759
Otherwise, I'm just gonna kind of flounder.
00:15:44.240 --> 00:15:51.200
So I joined a new roasting uh collective where I could roast on the type of equipment I needed in order to do espresso.
00:15:51.519 --> 00:15:53.679
And then what was the next big decision I had to make, right?
00:15:53.759 --> 00:15:57.519
I was gonna you go to that place anyways because I needed to do productions for my markets.
00:15:57.679 --> 00:15:59.840
So, what was the next step for me?
00:16:00.080 --> 00:16:02.799
Well, the next step was like buying inventory, right?
00:16:02.879 --> 00:16:10.399
I needed, I needed to get new inventory because I only had uh a certain amount of coffees left that I was gonna play with this uh for the espresso blend.
00:16:10.559 --> 00:16:18.320
And if I was really gonna commit to it, I needed to to like to pony up and and buy a lot more a lot more coffee.
00:16:18.480 --> 00:16:24.559
Otherwise, just in the experimentation, I was gonna, you know, I'd have a couple roasts and then that would be it.
00:16:25.039 --> 00:16:29.120
But in order to to commit to that, it was gonna require a lot more money, right?
00:16:29.200 --> 00:16:35.600
Because I had to buy, I had to buy a a lot more coffee at a time when the coffee price was at its peak.
00:16:35.840 --> 00:16:36.960
But I said, you know what?
00:16:37.039 --> 00:16:39.440
Well, whatever it is, it is what it is.
00:16:39.519 --> 00:16:47.039
I know what my result is, and even if I have to throw out every freaking pound I roast, I am going to come up with that espresso.
00:16:47.759 --> 00:16:52.240
So I bought the coffee and I came here, you know, I roasted it the first time.
00:16:52.639 --> 00:16:56.159
And uh, the first time I did uh roast, I just was just playing with a single origin.
00:16:57.039 --> 00:16:58.639
And it didn't come out as planned.
00:16:58.799 --> 00:17:00.639
I wasn't ready, it was new equipment, right?
00:17:00.720 --> 00:17:03.919
Again, all these things are all new actions I had to take.
00:17:04.079 --> 00:17:06.640
If you're if you're following, I'm in a new roasting facility.
00:17:06.720 --> 00:17:12.720
If you know anything about coffee roasting, a new machine is like walking for the first time, right?
00:17:12.880 --> 00:17:20.799
Because if it's like uh in driving an automatic car, and then someone's saying, here, drive stick.
00:17:20.880 --> 00:17:22.160
And you're like, what stick?
00:17:22.240 --> 00:17:22.720
What do you mean?
00:17:22.799 --> 00:17:24.960
I only know this one lever that I pulled down and up.
00:17:25.039 --> 00:17:26.880
Now I have to move it in different directions.
00:17:27.200 --> 00:17:28.799
Essentially, it is that.
00:17:29.039 --> 00:17:35.039
And so I had to learn a new roasting machine for like the fifth time in my coffee roasting career.
00:17:35.200 --> 00:17:36.559
And I'm like, damn.
00:17:37.119 --> 00:17:39.039
But I kept moving forward.
00:17:39.759 --> 00:17:42.720
I kept challenging myself to grow.
00:17:42.880 --> 00:17:49.119
I had the dream of making that Italian espresso, and I just kept taking the action as a result of taking that action.
00:17:49.200 --> 00:17:57.440
And again, I wasn't always confident in the action that I was taking, but I knew that I was I was smart enough and that I can ask for help.
00:17:58.240 --> 00:17:59.440
So I had this.
00:17:59.599 --> 00:18:10.720
I'm sorry I'm going extra long on this um, on the action part, because I think it's actually probably one of the most important aspects of the three keys, because when you take enough action, you build the confidence.
00:18:10.960 --> 00:18:12.079
So back to the coffee.
00:18:12.240 --> 00:18:18.240
So I was roasting, roasting, roasting, and as I was getting more roast under my belt, I started to get more confident.
00:18:18.480 --> 00:18:39.920
And not only that, I had contacted another consultant I'd worked with because I know I had access to him as hey, just after every roasting session, I would sit with him and I would review the roast and make a plan on how to achieve the optimal time in the three different phases of the roasting process so I could get more flavor, right?
00:18:40.240 --> 00:18:42.720
And things came really good.
00:18:43.680 --> 00:18:47.119
And I was always aiming, I wasn't happy with what it was.
00:18:47.519 --> 00:18:52.079
Then it got kind of circled all the way back around to the awareness part, right?
00:18:52.160 --> 00:18:53.680
I wasn't integrating my wins.
00:18:53.759 --> 00:18:55.920
And I was like, but I gave it to a bunch of people.
00:18:56.000 --> 00:19:01.519
I pulled the shots, I like the shots, and so it literally was it came full circle.
00:19:01.680 --> 00:19:06.559
But the long story short, I'm still taking the action, right?
00:19:06.640 --> 00:19:12.400
I'm I'm about to change the espresso blend slightly because I'm trying to achieve a certain profile.
00:19:12.640 --> 00:19:24.240
But the only difference between now and even like a couple weeks ago, because last week had an amazing week, and it was because every single one of these keys that I mentioned here was in place.
00:19:25.039 --> 00:19:34.960
And as a result of it being in place, it brought peace to me, it brought confidence and faith that where I was going was the right direction, that I would get there.
00:19:36.319 --> 00:19:43.200
Rewind before that, and then I just felt like I was just kind of like I wasn't, there was no certainty, and as a result, I'm not having certainty.
00:19:43.359 --> 00:19:45.920
How do you move forward when there's no certainty?
00:19:46.480 --> 00:19:47.359
You don't.
00:19:47.599 --> 00:19:51.759
You if you do, it's small steps and you're impairing your growth, right?
00:19:51.920 --> 00:20:00.000
You take the small steps forward, small steps forward, and then you see these other people like bolting past you, and you're like, what's going on?
00:20:00.240 --> 00:20:02.000
They don't even have the skills I have.
00:20:02.240 --> 00:20:15.200
But when you have the confidence, when you've decided that you were deserving of it, when you are connecting to your dreams, and when you are taking decisive action, you are unstoppable.
00:20:16.559 --> 00:20:18.559
So and it's it's not ending.
00:20:18.640 --> 00:20:20.559
So I'm still on this journey.
00:20:22.000 --> 00:20:28.000
And to to kind of close it up, even um with like the cold Roman espresso.
00:20:28.319 --> 00:20:33.680
If you guys know me from my coffee career, then you know that I create uh a bottle espresso.
00:20:34.319 --> 00:20:53.119
That's in a different journey, and I'm not gonna go too much into that, but for the first time in nearly all of my career, I was able this past week, I was looking out and I was seeing a grand vision for my life.
00:20:53.440 --> 00:21:01.839
And and this is the stuff like that I like I proud myself on and constantly speaking of because it would come in like you know, in in spurts of inspiration.
00:21:01.920 --> 00:21:04.160
And I wanted you to know that that's okay.
00:21:04.880 --> 00:21:08.640
And that it it is a challenge to always, you have to stay focused.
00:21:08.720 --> 00:21:12.480
You always have to keep where you want to go in mind, right?
00:21:12.640 --> 00:21:16.880
It's a challenge for me, and and this is the area that I'm always putting focus in, right?
00:21:16.960 --> 00:21:29.279
I'm always I'm on here sharing my my lessons with you, and it but in no way, shape, or form does it mean that it's always that I'm not struggling, or they don't have challenges.
00:21:30.960 --> 00:21:40.960
The difference is, and not to say the difference between me and you, but the difference in the mindset is that I just keep I get up and I keep on going.
00:21:43.440 --> 00:21:46.559
So that is what I want you guys to.
00:21:46.640 --> 00:21:59.440
So let's go back to those three keys, and I'll explain them once more so this way we make sure like that you I want to make sure that you you have an understanding of these three keys and how to move those levers in your in your own life.
00:22:00.559 --> 00:22:03.039
Because everything you want again depends on these three.
00:22:03.119 --> 00:22:05.039
So the first one is deservingness.
00:22:05.200 --> 00:22:09.759
Like, do you are you integrating the the wins that you have?
00:22:10.160 --> 00:22:15.119
If you're not integrating your wins, then you're focusing probably on the opposite, your losses.
00:22:15.200 --> 00:22:19.279
And you're focusing on an image of yourself that's no longer serving you.
00:22:20.400 --> 00:22:28.000
By focusing on the wins, by seeing the steps we have for we have taken and how they're moving us forward, we get confidence.
00:22:28.480 --> 00:22:30.079
Number two, their dreams.
00:22:30.160 --> 00:22:32.079
Like what are you being pulled by?
00:22:32.319 --> 00:22:35.680
You're either being pulled forward or you're being pulled backwards.
00:22:35.759 --> 00:22:39.519
If you think you're staying stagnant in the center, you're incorrect.
00:22:39.839 --> 00:22:42.240
Because if you're not growing, then you are dying, right?
00:22:42.319 --> 00:22:43.680
Anything grows or dies.
00:22:44.240 --> 00:22:48.000
And I don't want to use, I mean, dying is a pretty strong word, and I don't want to use that.
00:22:48.160 --> 00:22:52.079
But if if that's what it's going to take to give you the emotional intensity, say, hey, you know what?
00:22:52.880 --> 00:22:57.759
I got to start thinking about what I really want versus like the thing I don't want.
00:22:58.000 --> 00:22:59.200
Like, what is it that you want?
00:22:59.279 --> 00:23:01.039
And just for a second, like just ask us.
00:23:01.119 --> 00:23:06.640
Like, how does it feel when you get excited about something and you are being pulled by a vision of something bigger?
00:23:06.720 --> 00:23:08.079
How do you feel?
00:23:08.480 --> 00:23:09.680
I already know how you feel.
00:23:09.759 --> 00:23:10.720
You feel ecstatic.
00:23:10.880 --> 00:23:12.160
You get excited.
00:23:12.400 --> 00:23:12.720
Right?
00:23:12.880 --> 00:23:18.720
That's why it's so important to have like milestones to work towards, not just the big vision at the end.
00:23:19.119 --> 00:23:22.640
Because the milestones help you to celebrate and keep the momentum.
00:23:22.799 --> 00:23:24.640
It's one of the reasons why I travel all the time.
00:23:24.799 --> 00:23:24.960
Right.
00:23:25.359 --> 00:23:26.799
I do it so this way it gets me out.
00:23:26.960 --> 00:23:29.200
So this way I don't put off living life for a different time.
00:23:29.279 --> 00:23:37.119
But also, it is one of my desires to live and travel all around the world and to have the freedom to travel whenever I want.
00:23:37.759 --> 00:23:39.359
But I am not going to put it off.
00:23:39.440 --> 00:23:49.119
And by having these small wins, not only does it keep me plugged into that dream, but it also just keeps me excited to move forward with all the endeavors I have in life.
00:23:49.440 --> 00:23:51.599
And then lastly, decisiveness.
00:23:51.680 --> 00:23:53.119
Like what kind of action are you taking?
00:23:53.200 --> 00:23:54.880
Are you taking big action, small action?
00:23:54.960 --> 00:24:03.519
And I'm not going to, I'm not going to try to say what action is good or bad, because at different points in my life, big action was what was needed.
00:24:03.680 --> 00:24:06.319
Sometimes small action was what got me there, right?
00:24:06.480 --> 00:24:08.240
Small action just to take the step, right?
00:24:08.319 --> 00:24:10.240
To start this podcast, for example.
00:24:10.559 --> 00:24:14.400
Small steps could also lead to massive progress.
00:24:14.880 --> 00:24:21.839
So I'm not, I don't want to start to try to judge and say, oh, you know, how big of an action you have to take, because then that could be overwhelming, right?
00:24:21.920 --> 00:24:25.599
Because then you're constantly judging yourself on the action you took, thinking, like, well, was this big?
00:24:25.920 --> 00:24:26.559
Was this big?
00:24:26.799 --> 00:24:28.559
I mean, when I say you, I mean me.
00:24:28.720 --> 00:24:29.680
This is what I did.
00:24:29.839 --> 00:24:32.960
I would like to judge myself and I'd be like, well, was that big enough?
00:24:33.039 --> 00:24:34.720
And I would, it was just like this loop.
00:24:34.799 --> 00:24:37.599
And then I started spinning out in my brain again, right?
00:24:37.680 --> 00:24:38.799
And it's exhausting.
00:24:39.039 --> 00:24:40.400
So exhausting.
00:24:40.720 --> 00:24:44.000
So big or small, just take an action.
00:24:44.240 --> 00:24:47.599
That's let's let's let's bring it down and make it concise.
00:24:47.680 --> 00:24:52.079
And just say, just take an action in the direction of where you want to end up.
00:24:52.160 --> 00:24:54.319
And just keep taking small actions.
00:24:55.039 --> 00:25:00.720
Because actions that you keep taking, what you're really doing is you're just stepping into courage.
00:25:00.880 --> 00:25:04.559
Confidence, all this stuff is really stepping into your courage.
00:25:04.720 --> 00:25:14.559
Courage to dream bigger, courage to realize your gains and that you're growing, courage to put yourself in new and unfamiliar situations to keep moving forward.
00:25:15.519 --> 00:25:23.200
So uh with uh decisiveness actions, action alone will give you the confidence.
00:25:24.880 --> 00:25:27.599
So I hope this helps you in some way.
00:25:27.759 --> 00:25:34.319
If you were feeling, you know, like that you were confident before, but it it all seems lost, just look at the three here.
00:25:34.559 --> 00:25:41.759
Tell me, like, well, which one are you not counting your wins or you're counting your losses instead, or the things that are not going right?
00:25:41.920 --> 00:25:46.400
Are you focusing on your current situation rather than where you want to go?
00:25:46.559 --> 00:25:48.240
And that's making you feel bad?
00:25:48.480 --> 00:26:10.000
Or uh are you doing the same thing over and over and over and over and expecting a different result versus taking some bigger action, feeling a little bit uncomfortable, knowing that you you've overcome many big things, big things that were far greater than what you were you're afraid of now in the past, and then moving forward, like what is it, which one of these levers do you need to tweak?
00:26:10.079 --> 00:26:22.000
Do you need to sometimes it's gonna be more than one, but which one of these levers do you need to kind of like twist so this way it opens up that door and and you can feel the confidence that is in you?
00:26:22.160 --> 00:26:33.279
It is in you, I promise you, it is in you because every single one of you listening to this has a win, has wins, has taken massive action, and has had a bigger vision for your life.
00:26:33.759 --> 00:26:37.759
So remember that and remember that life is whatever you make of it.
00:26:37.839 --> 00:26:41.839
I hope it's one that you enjoy, one that you're passionate about, one that makes a difference.
