Listen to the Podcast: As an eventually wise man said: “We hafta go back!!!” It’s the ten year anniversary of the LOST season three finale, “Through the Looking Glass,” an episode that many people have described as the show’s very best episode. With that in mind, Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Jo Garfein (@jopinionated) joined forces to reflect on the milestone moment in the Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse series, a full decade later. The reasons to celebrate the episode are many: the flash-forward, Jack’s fake beard (which honestly we didn’t even talk about but man it’s bad), Charlie’s death, Hurley plowing through some Others with the Tricia Tanaka van, and more. Also, don’t sleep on “Greatest Hits.” Oof, what an episode. It’s one hour and eight minutes — aka a time stamp of 1:08 (!!!) — of podcasting about one of the most impactful moments in recent television history. And who knows? Maybe it’s not the last LOST LIVES podcast. But it probably is. At least until the next time! Make sure to check out Jo Garfein’s work over at Cancer Gets Lost. Also, here’s the link to the beautiful Bentham Blog, and a link to THE LOST CON.

Listen to the Podcast: LOST Lives lives again! In honor of Post Show Recaps’ victory at the Podcast Awards, not to mention the fortuitous timing of 8.15.16, Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) has relaunched the LOST podcast for a limited edition run, complete with guest interviews, random episode recaps, and other assorted weirdness one could only find on the island. This week on LOST Lives Returns, Josh and Emily Fox (@emelette) start things off with an apology, ramble on about Mr. Eko and Killer Croc, and toast to the arrival of some new DHARMA glasses. Then, Josh dives deep into several topics with AJ Mass (@AJMass), one of the original LOST Lives co-hosts. Josh and AJ talk about AJ’s concept for LOST 2 and why he thinks the show would need to completely reinvent itself should a comeback occur. Then, Josh and AJ talk about AJ’s experience re-watching the show alongside his son, who is watching for the very first time with fresh eyes. Finally, Josh and AJ finally make good on a promise to each other to discuss Game of Thrones. Keep an ear out for the airhorns if you’re looking to abandon ship before we head to Westeros. The GoT talk begins in spoilery earnest at around the 1:17:00 mark. Send questions and comments for next week’s episode by using our feedback form, and subscribe to the podcast by clicking this link. This week on LOST Lives Returns, Josh gets wrecked with Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType). Not literally, of course. They’re talking about Wrecked, the TBS comedy series that launched this summer. What does it have to do with LOST? Pretty much everything. Josh and Mike break down how the two shows intersect, plus, Mike takes us all on a tour through LOST’s relationship with comedy. Of course, before all of that, Josh grills Mike on his pitch for LOST 2, discussing the possibilities of Aaron Littleton’s life after the island, and more. Following the chat with Mike, Josh and Emily Fox (@emelette) are back together for another random episode of LOST: “Enter 77,” season three’s solitary Sayid Jarrah episode. (Not “Solitary,” which is a different episode in a different season entirely.) Josh and Emily geek out over their love for Sayid, the saga of Mikhail’s numerous beatdowns, why the middle of season three might be the show’s most under-appreciated era, and more… including a quick trip to CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM territory. Finally, the podcast ends with a preview for what’s to come next week when AJ Mass (@AJMass) returns to the podcast. This week on LOST Lives Returns, Josh sits down with Antonio Mazzaro (@acmazzaro) for further elaboration on his proposed first scene for LOST 2, a hypothetical follow-up to the legendary ABC series. Beyond talking through the Taller Ghost Walt of it all, Josh and Antonio pour one out during a discussion of MacCutcheon, Charles Widmore’s favorite whiskey, and other forms of booze featured on LOST, including DHARMA beer and airplane liquor. After chatting with Antonio, Josh is once again joined by his constant Emily Fox (@emelette) for their latest randomized rewatch. This week’s episode: “Hearts and Minds,” the season one flashback episode focused on… Boone? Yeah, Boone. Sorry. But it’s a great podcast! Scout’s honor! In the first episode of the rebooted podcast, Josh introduces his constant for the next few weeks of podcasting: his wife and number one Torkelsons fans Emily Fox (@emelette). At the start of each podcast, they’ll spin the Frozen Donkey Wheel (or something like that) to decide on a random episode of LOST to recap, returning later in the show after they’ve watched their selection. Next, Josh reunites with one of the original LOST Lives co-hosts, Jo Garfein (@jopinionated), to discuss her work on Cancer Gets LOST, a massive charity effort that just launched an auction loaded with items from the island drama. Jo gives back story on some of the most interesting items in the auction, and also weighs in on some of her current favorite shows of the summer. Finally, Josh and Emily close out the podcast by providing the recap for their randomized LOST episode… but then there’s one final twist, which will lead us into week two of the LOST Lives reboot. Listen to the Podcast: The thing is… we’re going to have to talk about taking the boy. Just two days after celebrating the fifth anniversary of “The End,” Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType) are back together to talk about “Exodus,” the season one finale of LOST. It’s the ten year anniversary of the three-part episode, and even if Josh and Mike don’t agree about “Tricia Tanaka is Dead,” they do agree on one thing: “Exodus” is the best episode of LOST, full stop. Listen to the Podcast: Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) says LOST is his all-time favorite show, but he does not love the final season. Is he being too hard on the show’s ending? That’s the takeaway from Coconut Pete Ashworth (@Burgundy_Orange), Josh’s close friend from college who has appeared on LOST LIVES twice in the past to talk about his first full rewatch since the series ended in 2010. Now, Pete’s watch has ended, and he has some words of wisdom on why season six doesn’t deserve a bad reputation — in fact, he has 15 reasons why LOST fans should give the final run of episodes another chance.
