On our first Communion Sunday of 2018, Pastor Pat reminds us that although God is unchanging, He is a doer of new things. Jesus’ life on earth broke the religious expectations and norms of His day, and not everyone was ready for it. Are you ready for God to do something new? “And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins” (Mark 2:22).

On New Year’s Eve 2017, we launched "One Year in the Word," and we hope you'll join us as we read the Bible all the way through in 2018! Our weekly reading plan will be available in our Sunday bulletin and online at yourbcc.org/one-year. Each Sunday's message will highlight a passage of scripture from the previous week's readings, allowing our hearts to come to church already meditating on the topic of the day. We are so excited and expectant of what God will do as we encourage each other to better know and live His Word!

Pastor Julie brings us the Word with a focus on our Prince of Peace--the one who silences our fears, calms our storms, and speaks peace into our lives beyond what we can fathom. "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).
