A change in direction…Sometimes that means laying everything aside that is safe and secure and grabbing hold of the “what if..?” Jesus said come follow me, and the fisherman dropped everything they had in complete surrender and faith. (matt 4:18-20) When you relinquish control to follow Him, He brings overflowing Joy and lasting satisfaction. It doesn’t mean there won’t be trials, conflict, hard times, or even heartache. The unknown is a journey, but with Jesus leading you, you will be equipped to face any circumstance, no matter what. May not look the way you had in mind, but He knows YOU…knows you specifically and sees the big picture. We need a big-picture perspective to face obstacles…the unknown in the here and now, will lead to the breakthrough on the other side. Is there risk? Absolutely! Is it worth it? Without a doubt! Following Him leads to an abundant life. He is enough. Will you trust Him.. What is your vision? What is your dream?

John the Baptist taught us what It was like to be a forerunner, to be a true reflector of the light of Jesus.(Jn 1:6-7) Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven. (Matt 5:16) By being a reflector of the light, like John, we project hope, and life to those walking in darkness. “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (Jn 8:12)

God reminded us of our coming hope through the words of the prophets…But God revealed His greatest revelation when Jesus, the Son and the very “Word” of God came to earth. ..The Son is the radiance of Gods glory and exact representation of His being.. Hebrews 1:1 When we look at the bigger picture… Jesus, always was … even before He came. Through Him all things were made, in Him was life and that life was the light of all mankind. Jn 1:1 Jesus is the full expression of God..

Sometimes in order to move forward we have to borrow from what happened before. Often times we set forth to do things on our own, when the work has already been established. When disappointed, dig again the former well. God is a God of restoration and revival. Be encouraged to Never give up, don’t back down and keep digging the well.

This Sunday Pastor Mark will be talking about Holding onto hope.
