Unstoppable Faith by Pastor Jonathan Galvante
Sermon Notes for Sunday April 19, 2015
Aloha everyone! Check out the notes for an incredible message preached by Pastor Jonathan entitled "Unstoppable Faith"!
The verses explain that Jesus is hungry and he sees a fig tree. He sees the leaves which are a sign that there is fruit or fruit to come. Jesus was not even looking for the fig in particular but its precursor taqsh. He approached the tree and found neither. He then spoke to the tree and said 14 "...No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever..."
Faith says: What you see isn't always what you get.
Faith is the absence of fact.
Jesus looked at the tree and found nothing. When you find nothing remember that God is bigger than your nothing. We can believe that God will provide.
In verse 21 the disciples were surprised when they saw that the tree Jesus cursed had withered away. They had doubt. When Jesus saw no fruit he spoke to the doubt. When was the last time YOU spoke to sickness, affliction, etc.? Change what you're saying and you will change what you're seeing. Expectancy is the breeding ground for your miracle! Expect to see the results of your faith.
1) Believe God for things so great that it will stagger not only you but others.
-Peter saw the power of faith through Christ
2) What you posses doesn't determine what you have.
- The Greek word for have is echo which means to echo what you heard
- The Greek word for faith is pistis which means persuasion or conviction based on absolute truth
- Having possessing are two different things.
Jesus said don't look at the fig tree. Look at the faith I have in God.
You can have whatever you're believing God for!
ASK. PRAY. BELIEVE. RECEIVE.
What you're believing for exists. Give it your address!
