I know you aren't reading this looking for a rant, but isn't the word "roommate" just weird? Even putting aside the uncomfortable connotations of the word "mate" in American English, roommates are usually sharing an apartment, not a room. So why aren't they called "apartmentmates"? Or "apartmates" for short? Something like that. The British have the right idea calling it "flatmate", but the Americans just insist on using weird terminology.

We could have used this description to mention how this episode is about fan fiction but we're just so super excited that we have a third (long distance) brother on this thing that we ran out of room.
