► Tell us about you and your podcast
I’m Curtis “Cakes” Evans and I’m joined by Brody “Brodacious” Herb and Austin “Sully” Sullivan. We are The No Filter Podcast.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
We just wanted a platform to give our honest, unfiltered takes on sports and everything in between. We like to have a laid back, just 3 guys talking, sports environment to show a different side of ourselves to the members of our Facebook group: All Sports - All Day.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
We release episodes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The process is fairly simple; we do a live recording that’s converted to an MP3 file and then we upload it to our RSS feed. Consistency is the key and while we all 3 have lives outside of our podcast we strive to have a level of commitment and accountability that’s uncommon amongst other podcasts. We want to be the best.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
We don’t earn anything yet but gratitude and satisfaction when people tell us how much they enjoy our show, and to me that’s priceless.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
We use the Zoom app to host our meetings and it’s a great app because it converts the file to an MP3 automatically. We have a Facebook group as previously stated and if we want a guest we ask the group if someone would like to join.
► How do you market your show?
We’re on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Twitter, PodBean and Facebook.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Stay committed, perfect your craft and entertain.
