► Why & how did you start this podcast?
I started this podcast in 2018 and didn't stop until the pandemic. On Air Media was my podcast home and they did everything. I just came in to record and podcast was up after I left. I don't edit. Just straight up real talk.
I love the digital audio space. I do a lot of driving and like to learn or hear stories while I drive. I started to listening to audio books on tape! So it was an easy transition to listen to all things audio.
My goals of this podcast is to provide anyone who listens some hope or some nugget of knowledge that can make their life better.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I began releasing two episodes a week until life got in the way and found that one a week worked better for me. I was lucky in that all of my guests just serendipitously showed up at the right time.
I started out funding the podcast myself and then picked up a few sponsors here and there...and then the pandemic hit. I have taken a hiatus from this podcast and hope to resume with a more refined interview style.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
Yes! I am open to sponsors. I want to get back up and running. I got my first sponsorship myself. My podcast is actually a VODCAST. So videos on Youtube as well. I offered a trade of the whole show on video for services at her store. Marketing and sales are not my wheelhouse. The friends I made podcasting and the stories I was privileged enough to hear -- wow! Priceless. I'm in the top 5% of all podcasts - so thank you to everyone who is listening!!!! Don't forget to subscribe and rate. I appreciate your feedback.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
The person or book appears and I take time to read the book or talk to the guest before hand to flesh out what we are going to talk about.
I then make a brief outline and we go live when we go live! Some guests are in studio and some are via skype.
► How do you market your show?
My podcast is available on iTunes and all podcast apps. I'm also on YouTube!
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Just do it. If you have something to say that others need to hear. Go for it.
► Where can we learn more about you & your podcasts?
My new venture is www.betterthanaboardroom.com
