► Tell us about you and your podcast
Hi I am 13 and started a podcast called The World According To The Autistic Kid which at first started as a hobby but has now grown into something else.
I have one goal and that's to raise understanding of autism.
► Why & how did you start this podcast?
For a while I wanted to start a radio show and the lockdown happened and it was the perfect time but there was one problem I didn't have the money to start a radio and then I found out about podcast and I instantly got to work.
► How'd you find the time and funding to do this podcast?
I try to release every week but I go for at least 1 every 2 weeks.
I found the time because of lockdown and now its ending I just have to schedule a bit but I'll definitely continue.
I don't spend money on the podcast because I was lucky to get a mic as a gift and I know someone who pays to have there own domain and in that package they get a few so they let me have one.
I don't know how long I spend a week on it but I do alot each week.
► What do you gain from podcasting?
I don't have any sponsors but I do have partners I work with a charity called friendly access and I did a small deal with proper mint print which basically ment I'd advertise them and they'd share the episode but that was a one time thing.
I gain alot of pride on knowing I am making stuff people enjoy.
► How does your podcasting process look like?
I just email people and if they want to be interviews they reply that's it really.
► How do you market your show?
I use Facebook the the most but I do have a instagram and Twitter.
► What advice would you share with aspiring (new) podcasters?
Just do it that's the hardest step starting and if you dont enjoy it then stop theres no shame in that.
