As if to encourage him, God allows John to see the Lamb standing on Mount Zion with the 144,000. As Ron Moore explains, we see few better pictures of God's grace in the midst of judgment than this.

An angel of light and a great red dragon. Handsome and loathsome; cunning and foolish. Satan is all of these things and he wants to be your god. But as Ron Moore explains, this mighty pretender to heaven's throne is no match for the King of kings. And we can find reassurance in the fact that Satan's defeat is written and certain.
