As the disciples of Jesus often show us, the parables often present more questions than answers. When it comes to the subject of forgiveness, this is absolutely the case. Who is forgiveness for? Originally part of an oral tradition, the parables were used by Jesus to engage the listener in a reframing of their views of themselves, the world and God. In this series, we will study the parables and see how they can help us reframe our views and how we can help others see things differently.

The pouring of the Spirit on flesh and blood in Acts was God's way of extending God's love and mission through people in a diverse community. One of the continuing signs that the Spirit is at work today is in the diversity of difference found in very few church spaces. A study by Lifeway Christian Resources shows that 86% of churches in America are monoethnic--meaning that only about 14% are diverse. Listen in as we look to the scriptures to see how the power and the sign of the Spirit is evident when the church crosses over and builds bridges to God's Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
